Anyone playing on a console? I was wondering how it looked on xbox.
Most of the in game footage they've shown is from the Xbox version. It looks great.

You go everywhere, talk to everyone, look at everything.ReveurIngenu wrote...
The game is just so big that you aren't sure what to do. I find myself wondering where to go, who to talk to when I get side quests.
Bethesda games do usually make it worth it to get the Prima guide. I haven't seen the Skyrim one yet, but I assume that'll be the case, too. My Oblivion guide was annotated and dog-eared.For example, I went to jail and broke out, but couldn't find the chest with my stuff. I searched all over the internet for information about where exactly this chest was (like it's EXACT location), couldn't find any. Finally just decided to go back to jail and serve my time, and luckily my stuff appeared afterwards. And when I think of things like alchemy, making potions and stuff, and you don't have a recipe guide.
In Oblivion I used containers in the world or just dropped stuff and came back to pick it up later. Not sure if containers are safe in this one, though, and NPCs might pick stuff up in Skyrim. Maybe someone else can tell you more.I think the game is just too huge and too open that you end up not knowing what you should be doing. I can't ever tell what objects I should keep, which ones I should sell off. I don't even know if there is storage or not, where to get it. I read you can buy a house. Can't even find out where. The game just expects you to find everything yourself, and I guess I just am not that kind of person.
If you don't have any quests at all, then you haven't been looking. Talk to people. Find a guild and do their quest lines. That often gives shape to the story early on.I need to play a character with a voice, I need to have compagnons, I need to have goals and objectives. Playing as just one mute character who can do whatever he wants just doesn't do it for me.

Found my first real issue with this game.
At first it was eh no biggie. Then it turns out it is such a glaring issue its keeping me from progressing in the dungeon i'm at. Cannot rotate items in the inventory period. This means the golden claw puzzle door that you need to see the symbols on the claw is impossible for me.
This is unnacceptable. The rotating feature was something they marketed a lot during production and I can't do it. Hell only thing I can do in the inventory with my mouse is click to equip.
FUUUU and I was loving this game so much up to this point!

how does magic fare against dragons compared to arrows? I planned on playing a spellwarrior, so I'll have a few Destruction spells handy.

You are trying to click and drag the mouse around the item and still nothing happens?
I wasn't sure how to do it at first but it works OK for me. You have to click right on the 3D image and then drag it.
It's similar to rotating the character creator head around. Were you able to do that in the CC menu?

I am. It's still absolutely gorgeous, even with the 360's limitations. Hard to imagine what it looks like on PC.

hmm... in the CC I needed both LM and RM buttons pressed together to rotate the head... Not just one click or one button. Did you try that?

I need help!
I have 4 Perk points. I can spend 2-3 in Two Handed and the rest in Restoration, I got it to 30 utilizing traps to raise it from 23.
Or I can spend 3 in restoration and 1 in 2-Handed.
I tested the second one out and the amount needed to cast heal is greatly reduced while magic charges much faster when I equip the robes to raise it to 75%, 25 from the perk and the 50 from the robe. Which also means, I'd be able to raise restoration much faster and I guess I'd probably get the points I spent back.

yeah that doesn't work either.
I was able to make out the symbols by putting my eyes right up to my monitor and squinting but that is not cool. The consolized UI is obvious.
