Either Lydia died or got lost because I
can't find her. She was in the Companions stronghold when I went on a
mission with Farkas and when I came back she was gone from where I left
her.
She should be back in Dragonreach (i.e. the Jarl's castle), sitting at one of the tables.

Question: Are the werewolves random encounters or can you only become one by quests?
Not sure. I've seen one, but only in a quest and haven't fought any yet. I do have a quest to go wipe out a vampire nest though.

Do you remember where you started the quest?
Also, I love how the Altmer even have hairy chests lol...this country's full of bears.

Indeed they are, it's one of the big selling points of Skyrim. Inidividually Handcrafted dungeons.someguy1231 wrote...
Got a quick question for Skyrim owners. Are the dungeons more varied and unique, as far as layout and appearance goes? My biggest gripe with Oblivion by far was that the dungeons were monotonous and repetitive, particularly the Ayleid Ruins, Oblivion gates, and the various cave-based dungeons.

I have not found a single thing alike in the dugeons save for they are dungeons. Also they can be big. Perhaps too big

Holding out on being a werewolf for my first character, also skipping out on vampirism. My pure warrior will get werewolf and my assassin will get vampirism. It's killing me though, is being a werewolf really that awesome?

When you say special perks, what do you mean exactly?
There is a perk that causes Heavy Armor to weigh absolutely nothing when wearing it - which renders the advantage Light Armor had over Heavy Armor virtually useless.
You can also take a look at all of the perks for both Heavy and Light, if you prefer

Heavy Armor has more perks than Light Armor, and its perks are also more useful in general IMHO.

First Dragon kill down...in the dead of night...couldn't see s#!+ through the black smoke. Just wow.
My first Dragon battle was awesome. First shooting lightning bolts into the sky and in the end me standing there, channeling frost through both hands while taking Dragon breath to the face, hoping desperately he'd be the first to fall

Question has it got a good story? And do you like the dialogue system? i'm thinking of getting it
The story is much improved over Oblivion's and is good by it's own merit. The dialogue system is good, the convos really flow well.

oh yes.
but to avoid over hype, i'm going to tell you my downsides:
you can only play on third party.
you can only transform once a day
you can no longer have rested bonuses from sleeping
it's fairly short(unless you EAT your enemies)

Indeed dungeons can wear a bit thin sometimes in the longer ones. The one for the golden claw quest especially.

I cannot stop listening to that main theme. Once again I bear witness to the genius of Jeremy Soule.
So far this is my favorite piece of music I've heard in the game. It practically makes me cry just hearing it.

I have a question. When I get a new side quest I make it my active and press X to show it on map, but a lot of the time it just shows the main quest marker. I'm quite early in the main story so do I have to do missions first or do some side quests not show up on the map?
If you deactiivate the main quest then the side quests show up on the map. The main quest overrides it if you keep it active.
