Hey, does any one know if you can still level specific attributes after hitting the level cap? Like can a level 50 still get better at certain things?

That's not the level cap, so yes.  There technically is no level cap.

There actually are algorithms they use for each level for things like the strength of weapons after they have been strengthened or the strength of enemies at a certain level.

I used a console command to raise Smithing to 1000 and upgraded an Ebony Greatsword to have over 3,000 damage.  Then I decided to do a test.  Took a Ebony Greatbow and set Smithing back to 100 and checked how much damage it would have after strengthening it and then set smithing back to 1000 and found out, at Smithing 1000 the strengthened weapon would have more damage than when Smithing was at 100.

The only thing that limits how high your level can go is the fact that each skill is set to stop gaining experience at 100 so once all skills reach that, there's no way to level up.

Apparently my posts are getting lost in the ether... Using console commands I found out you will be at level 79 or 80 after maxing out all skills.  Thing is, I had reverted a couple skills to level 1 before I started testing so I got some extra experience.

Did no one look at them? :(

Oh right!  I just did, but I got spoilered by them.  However, I'm now excited about meeting the person I saw in the credits.  :wizard:

Spoiled?  Ok...  Didn't know knowing a cast list was being spoiled.

Which character are you looking forward to running into?  I'm curious.

I'm having a hard time taking first person seriously because I'm a High Elf, yet my field of vision is at everyone's belly. Does anyone know how to change this?

Okay, I just reloaded my original character which I had did 0 cheats for and...

Your level goes up 80 times to 81. So, you have 80 perk points if you max out every skill to 100.

With those, I was only able to max out Smithing, One-Handed, Two-Handed, and Restoration and have 5 left over. You might be able to max out one or two more if you max out the smallest trees. But still, that's still pretty low considering there are 18 skills.

I see why the starting level for all skills is 15.  Apparently, if you set them to anything lower using the PC console commands, then you actually get Less points toward leveling up.

Hmmm, I didn't like being a vampire, everyone kept attacking me. It took forever to find a person the feed on. I was going into peoples' houses at like 2:00 or 3:00 AM and people were still awake, WTH, people don't sleep in Skyrim lol.

I didn't even want to be one in the first place, I broke into someone's house to see what would happen, I walk into the cellar and this woman gets out a coffin and attacks me lol. I finally found a cure, and I'm going to cure myself before I get to vampire state if I get infected again.

First, can you take a screenshot, upload it, then link to it?  I'm curious to see what you see.

Also, what happens if you go to third person?  Finally, I would try ShowRaceMenu or sexchange and see if that fixes it.  It's a glitch cause I just started a high elf and I don't have that problem.

Oh no, there's nothign wrong wiht it technically. It's the standard first person fov. But the crosshair and fov is at everyone's bellies no matter what your heigh is. I was just being picky and wondering if anyone knew an ini setting or such  that would make it rise higher so it can look like a altmers height. I'm I being clear?

Now I'm curious about something here how do we report any bugs that we find in the game? And who do we pay a fine to?

This works gloriously. So glad there is no karma in this game, otherwise I'd be an angel.

I thought you were saying that the top of the screen stops at the NPCses bellies.  But you're talking about the crosshair?

Why would you want to change it?  It is showing you where each of your weapon strikes are hitting.

1. Official forums
2. Officers of the Law

I bet the DB is after me by order of those Justiciars. I've made a mess of a bunch of them quite a few times already, on the road! =)

Oh, can we buy a horse for Lydia? I hate seeing her having to run after me!

Sinding is really hard on "master" difficulty. I'm at level 17 - he just one-shots me and I can barely even scratch him. Anybody beat him with a stealth approach (without using spells or heavy armor)?

I have the 15x Assassin's Blade perk, so if I could get close enough to use daggers I think I could do some damage. I'm able to cut giants down to about 25% of their health with one dual dagger backstab, so I imagine it would be more effective than my bow, which does almost zero damage on his health bar.

Are you a werewolf? If so, you'll find it more useful to side with him, rather than against him.

You do the one in in Markarth?  made me think of the Pit in Fallout 3 but smaller.
That whole questline is very well done.  The whole Forsworn and the moral dillema tied to them.
At one point I found myself hating these guys then I found myself sympathizing with them.  I love quests like that where its a tough call for me.  In the end i think I made the right call but being a good character is hard when the right call isn't obvious.
Speaking of which I love the one with the Redguard fugitive in Whiterun for that same reason.

BTW just loving Markarth.  The whole vertical spacing of it all feels like a maze.
Also killed my second dragon and nothing compares.  I couldn't have done it without my companion keeping it busy but when I use my unrelenting force shout on it and actually knock it out of the sky I was yelling YES in victory.  Kudos to Bathesda for making me feel like a badass.

Also YAY bans lifted.

Anyone else getting the Stables issue?
Becuase in my game, I bought a horse from Solitude stables and it ended up dying in a battle I was in. And when I went to get another one, there was only one unsaddled horse there and yet the npc selling them told me I could buy one. Buy what exactly?

Exactly! All that you said! And WB!

Slimgrin, when you're off the ban, I think I found that bug with the ESC or even TAB not working for some reason. But it was very localized. During loot or transfering items to companion, for some reason. I managed to get out of that  screen somehow and it hasn't happend again.

PS: How many companions can we have at one time? Hirelings/Awarded? I noticed that some quest companion does not take the place of Lydia. I'm wondering if I can hire another one after this quest is done. To replace the quest companion... heh

I don't mind so much.  If I was really uptight about spoilers, I wouldn't be looking here.

The one I saw that made me squee was Sheogorath.

So not only did I survive my first random dragon encounter, Lydia and I are trekking up this mountain and not 30 seconds after that I hear a roar. I thought "surely there's not another one..." LOL But I didn't learn any shouts from them, I take it I haven't found the right words for those yet? When I find the words, I get the corresponding shout, right?

Also went into my first dwemer ruin.  OMG, so gorgeous.  And... scary.  They went steampunk- I'm really impressed.

As long as you've killed a Dragon and you have a word memorized you can unlock a shout. Open your Magic menu scroll down to shouts category and find a shout you want and press the unlock button(different for every platform, I know it's R for PC).

Ok that was confusing me.  I have my second soul there in my inventory and I found another word but it was grayed out and I was sitting there going what do I do with this...
Make this perfectly clear.  Each shout is tied to a specific wall somewhere and you can use any soul to unlock it?  I probably dont even need this answered but part of it was throwing me off.

Let me reiterate, it doesn't matter which word you've found, any soul will unlock any shout. If it's grayed out in the menu and you have a dragon soul avaialble then look at the bottom of the menu where it shows you the options(Equip, Favorite and Unlock) Press the unlock button and it will use one soul to unlock that shout. Additional words for the shout(ie. the famous UNrelenting Force combo "Fus-Ro-Dah") require additional souls.Typically there are three words for every shout therefore you need 3 souls to fully upgrade a shout.
