Since we're talking about marriage, has anyone tried it yet? Is it good? 'Cause I have my doubt of the marriage and would hope that they don' suck.

Not that it's game breaking at all, not even close if it sucks, but still it would be nice if they succeeded with it.

Yeah, just tried it out myself. There's not a whole lot of fanfare but there's a nice little ceremony, you get congratulated and you're able to choose where you live with your spouse. While I'd personally like some more interaction between my character and the spouse, I think it's fitting for the game that there's not much emphasis on the 'romance'.

Were you aware that Skyrim is a single player RPG?

These sales numbers are quite mind blowing.

I think I'm a bit obsessed, started yesterday morning and now I'm sitting here at level 38 with Daedric Armor. Haven't even touched the main quest yet. Master difficulty is quite enjoyable.

It means in Europe and America, approximately from every 500 persons, one has bought this game. I don't know if this is much or not.

Agreed, it gives me hope for future story-driven, deep, (and most importantly) lengthy RPGs. It's saying that people want more than these quick-fix games that seem to be aimed more at casual gamers. And better than that, it's giving us more for our money than most games do. :)

Maybe not, but according to Steam, on PC, nearly 250,000 people playing Skyrim on day 1 compared to MW3's peak number of 78,000.

New items become available as you level huh? I only have like 10 ebony arrows and keep finding elven arrows, which sucks because I am rocking a pimped out daedric bow. My char looks stupid wearing all dark colors and having dark weapons...and a huge golden elven quiver is on me back.

Hello guys, just asking, anyone been in 'Bleak Falls Barrow' yet? I went there to get a dragon shout and I really wanted to kill the 'Dragon Priest' that comes up from the tomb right next to the shout, but instead a boring Draugr Overlord showed up. I checked the wiki and it said that if you're a low level character, that guy turns up, but I really wanna figth the Dragon Priest.

So anyone know what lvl you were when you fought the Dragon Priest?

By the way, maybe Dragonplate Armor won't be so hard to make.

If you want to quickly raise your Smithing, purchase Iron Ingots and Leather Strips. One of each will forge an Iron Dagger. Forge a ton of them and you'll level up your Smithing very quickly.

Both of them are pretty cheap and you can find plenty of both in the shops of blacksmiths around Skyrim. Even better, you can buy them from a blacksmith and then immediately use them at nearby forges, only to sell the daggers you made back to the blacksmith.

Costs some money, but for eventual Dragonplate Armor, why not?

I noticed this too. My blacksmithing skill is currently at 54 and it's insanely easy to level it higher. Does the rate of leveling ever really slow down? Or is it really that easy to get it to 100?

Well since they're Dragon Priests, and they're like only 9 in the game, chances are you'll have to be pretty high level for it to show up.

Beat me to the punch.  Had just read this at VGChartz.  The numbers are amazing.  And yes, I know it's way to early to make speculations or draw any real conclusions.  But, I think the trend will only get stronger moving forward.  Wait for the first 10 weeks sales figures.  I think we're all going to be amazed.  Bethesda will be well rewarded for packing a game to the brim with content and actually improving on the previous iteration.  While many studios are focusing solely on the commercial elements of their products and busy themselves stripping out content and limiting and controlling the player, Bethesda unapologetically is giving their player base more content at the base price, and more control over their gaming experience.  But, I will reserve making final conclusions until we know the actual figures and how those play out over time.

For those running Xfire, turn it off when playing Skyrim. I noticed that it was the program that was causing my Skyrim to CTD constantly.

Curious, if I side with the Empire... do I support the Thalmor? I want to side with the Empire, simply because Skyrim's seperating isn't going to help the Empire possibly standing up to the Thalmor, just worried if I'm going to be "Yay Thalmor" the entire time.

Not sure, but I was trying to see if it was possible to befriend the Thalmor. haven't figured out a way to do that yet.

Yeah, That doesn't mean anything.   Steam only tracks players who are on  their servers when they're playing, and since  MW3 isn't tied to steam like Skyrim is  (don't need steam to play it), its numbers are going to be much lower.

Still, 3.4 million sales   and week 1 isn't even over yet?  There's never been an RPG to do that.  Ever.  Skyrim is Literally setting a record, here.  And I predict 5 million im sales before Christmas.

Let me reiterate, it doesn't matter which word you've found, any soul will unlock any shout. If it's grayed out in the menu and you have a dragon soul avaialble then look at the bottom of the menu where it shows you the options(Equip, Favorite and Unlock) Press the unlock button and it will use one soul to unlock that shout. Additional words for the shout(ie. the famous UNrelenting Force combo "Fus-Ro-Dah") require additional souls.Typically there are three words for every shout therefore you need 3 souls to fully upgrade a shout.

Oh, alrighty.  I didn't realize you had to unlock them.  Cheers.

Anyone having trouble with the quest Forbidden Legends? I did the first two dungeons, but I can not gain entry to the last, Saarthal; the door is locked.

The internet tells me I need to do the first quest for the mage's guild, but I really do not want to join that guild, and I honestly think the devs would make joining a guild mandatory for completing a side quest.

There has to be a way in there without joining the guild.

I gave the game another try and my eyes didn't hurt as much.Maybe they needed to adjust because I was playing DA2 there for awhile. It still has Fallout 3 written all over it though. And while that's not necessarily a bad thing, I just think those aspects should be kept with that game and Bethesda should have came up with seperate features for Skyrim.
You know, I'm surprised that people didn't come up with a conjunction for Skyrim like they did with DA2.No "Fall Sky" or "Sky Out".Or maybe it's just hidden in the abyss of the internet.

What features do you mean?  It seems plenty distinctive to me.  Some people are complaining they don't have features that are in Fallout, like attribute leveling.  The only obvious comparison I can think of is the lockpick minigame, and thank Talos they didn't keep the Oblivion minigame.

Anyone noticed that theres not a single toilet or mirror in all of Skyrim? Theres an awful lot of buckets though...

Is there a way to get companions to use better equipment? I can get them to use better swords but thats about it so far. Aela the huntress is my current sidekick after Lydia's tree problems, I crafted her an Elven bow with electricity damage and threw her hunting bow away. But she never uses it, she keeps pulling a mystery hunting bow out of her ass. Am I doing something wrong?

I found the stray dog again so I'm up to two companions now. We are quite the team.
