Need Daedra Hearts. Apparently some guy in Winterhold sells a few and some alchemists are supposed to carry them. They're still rare though.

Could be the only gripe with the game.... Craft only armor, that you have to invest time and effort into making should be better then armor you can loot and which requires less skill to make. Unless I'm mistaken and you can loot Dragon Armor too... but that would be even worse design, as then smithing would add nothing apart from improving and, maybe, having some gear a bit earlier.
Not that I know about these things, as I've only just started playing my two-handed orc (who makes his own weapons).

One thing I'm finding kind of odd is that people somehow know I'm a Nord when I'm wearing a helmet that completely conceals my face... I also keep hearing people comment on the hair growing out of my ears even though they can't see them XD
Haha, I guess Bethesda didn't think about it. Same thing happened to my Dunmer in Markath inn, she was wearing a full helm and yet the drunk there started picking on her because she was a Dark Elf.
Finally levelled up enough to defeat a giant, I came upon their camp in the wilderness and took one down with three arrows + stealth and another one with a single dagger backstab.
That was so satisfying after all the grief they gave me.
If it weren't for my long tail poking out of my heavy armor I could totally pass as any of the other races lol.

"Sheathing your weapon while in combat indicates that you are yielding. Not all opponents will accept your yield; others may accept the yield but immediately resume fighting. Creatures never accept a yield. If used while drawing a bow or holding a charged spell, this control cancels the attack."

So it was like: "I yield" - :::CHOP:::
Humorous side note: You can loot the heads of decapitated opponents to get their stuff

Acrobatics was dumped. It was no fun training it in Oblivion. There is more stuff gone, I think. But none of the spells are missing. They are distributed somewhere else. I think it is richer than ever. An example of streamlining that actualy works.RageGT wrote...
Ahh... just woke up for another long 16 hours session! It's so fun to travel on the roads!!! Here we go!
Oh, and the UI became quite PC friendly for me once I learned how to Hotkey stuff and got used to navigate it with AWSD and Mouse Wheel. And the Skill UI is beautifull and makes all the sense in the world. Now I can see much more clearly the connection to the Constelations. But... didn't Acrobatics used to have a Constelation too? heh
And there are no Argonians to marry as well. So it's not only Cats that have no love... Lizard people haven't it either!
Edit: And no wood elves to marry. Nobody is complaning about that. Ghehe.
I agree with that one. Some things have been taken out that I miss, like attributes (str, cha, luck, etc.), but there's also things I won't miss like acrobatics or the 'speech' cheese wheel minigame. Crafting has been complexifi'd in my opinion though.

Lol, just wait until someone puts up a video of killing kids in the game. That'll get some rage going. (Probably already happened.)Rockworm503 wrote...
lol not questioning your real life animal love (I have 2 dogs myself) Its just funny how many people are up in arms about the fact that you can kill pixels in a game. I watched one dude kill everyone in Riverwood just to put his weapon away when he saw a dog.
you need a mod for that unfortunately. some kids like the brat in riverwood who keeps saying he'll prank me and the girl in whiterun who says she'll beat me up are annoying. Just sayin'.
I kind of have restraints harming virtual dogs myself though. :innocent:

While having attributes is nice, their progression in Oblivion was horribly wrong considering how skill level advances are tied to gaining new levels.
Perhaps it was possible to invent some better mechanic and still keep the attributes, but I certainly prefer them gone, rather then implemented like in Oblivion.
Overall I won't miss them.

BTW which Gems are better black soul gems or the regular soul gems? Also how many companions are we allowed at a time? I've completed both ways but not sure how I want to continue the game.
Also I've seen folks here talking about the quick keys and I seen something in the little book about them. How do set them up and make them active in this game?
you mean this?Step-by-step guide to hotkeys in Skyrim:
1. Add whatever you want to hotkey to the favorites menu
2. Open the favorites menu (default Q)
3. Hover over the thing you want to hotkey
4. Press one of the numbers above qwerty. Works for 1-8
Voila. Hotkeyed.
Protip for spells --- double-tap a hotkey to put that spell in both hands.
Black Soul Gems are the same as Grand Soul Gems but they let you capture human(+other playable races) souls, IIRC from previous games.
Rage thanks for the infor on this here I really apreciate it.
Addai- I've ran into Maiq<sp? the liar a couple of times in the game.

There were a few different crazy people locked up in there. One of them was wearing a chef's uniform and he tried to carve me up for dinner.

My understanding is that with a really high smithing skill, the weapons and armor you can craft are far more powerful than anything you can possibly find in loot. "Legendary" Dragon/Daedric armor and weapons" crafted by the PC with 100 smithing skill will be many times better than what you can find or buy (although you can always improve found items as well).

It's a pretty big spoiler, so I won't post it here, but essentially, talk to everyone you meet in the major cities and pick up all the quests..
PM me if you want to know exactly where to find him.

Amazing pic. But actually anywhere I go in this game can provide amazing pics! Amazing game!
And there I was snooping around a huge house searching clues for a quest, reading all the books in there, when in one of many rooms, one book starts a new Quest! Awesome!
I have now 13 major quest and 22 miscellaneous (+2 to choose a side to join)... and I keep tumbling into new quests all the time! It's overwhelming! I hope I can finish my first char before ME3 is released!! lol

This may sound ridiculous but the bears in this game are kicking my ass, why are they're way too overpowered IMO in comparison to wolves.
