I got my Saints Row The Third and will be playing that, have fun with your skyrim.
My brother also bought the game and he's already at Alduin at Level 11. All he's done is the main quests. He didn't even know Alduin was the last boss.
I'm looking forward to Saints Row too; never played the other ones though. Sandbox games ftw!

Last night I was playing and found out something rather interesting, you can float down the fast moving rivers. Of course, falling over a waterfalls kills you but I thought it was an ingenious way of escaping the wolf pack attacking me. XD
I'll have to give that a try! I did see that happen with a cave bear last night. I had just set him on fire, and my flame atronach threw a fireball at him immediately after that; the force sent him right into the river, and I found his dead body a ways downstream. My husband was watching the whole thing and laughed, because it all happened so fast.

My husband was playing and he was headed up to see the grey beards when a dragon attacked. He was near the lady meditating. She jumps up and joins in the fight against the dragon, only to have the dragon grab her and literally toss her off the mountain! LOL It was awesome. Didn't catch that one either.

The fact that Thalmor justiciars are already prowling around in Skyrim doing what they want, is already a huge humiliaton for the Empire.
My High Elf, obviously, doesn't care.

I am going to find out more about those when I find the underwater breathing spell. I found the potion, but not the spell yet.

Playing as a dual wield dagger stealth character but I kept having to resort to hiding in crevices, using archery and ice spike spells. I only managed to backstab him once to deliver the final blow.

After reading the book "the Great War", I wonder what justification people have for siding with the Stormcloaks unless they want the Thalmor to conquer Hammerfell, Cyrodiil and Skyrim in the long run. Skyrim has the advantage of natural borders and rocky terrain, but they would eventually go down against the Elven hordes.

From a game perspective it really doesn't matter. You want to investigate that questline sooner or later, right?
In this run my dark elf is siding with the Legion. In the next run my PC (no matter what race) will side with the Stormcloacks.

What level are you naughty?
level 20, playing on "master"
the dragon was a generic fire dragon at Northwind Summit near Shor's Stone. He killed me about 8 times before I found myself hiding behind the word wall in a crevice where I could attack with a bow but he couldn't see me.
I think dragons are less susceptible to sneak than most enemies. My sneak is in the 60s and I was wearing boots with +30% sneak modifier, also it was nighttime, which usually makes it easier to sneak.

Dwarves are older than Protheans! At least in the games universe!

Wow, dragons are really challenging when you are fighting them one-on-one on Master setting.

Some Silver-Blade or something like that in a quest were a lot harder than any Dragon for me. I even got decapitated. The guy was a mirror of my char with his 2 hander and a 1-hit-kill badazz while I could hardly do any damage on him. He had tons of HP! And the companion just stood there watching and cowaring!
I love when Necros say "You're Pathetic" right at the moment I'm chopping their heads off! =) (level 26 atm with all Two Handed Perks lightened with 3/5 on the +%damage and 2/3 on the +% Critical Hits chance - Those are 90 and 100 required to complete)

It sounds to me like Cyrodiil needs Skyrim as much as the other way around. So Skyrim should be able to rule itself. Being independent doesn't mean you can't have trade and diplomatic relations with the empire.virumor wrote...

Cool. Where did you find it in Skyrim? That one was hard to find in Oblivion. I used the spell in Oblivion to train Alteration. Very effective.RageGT wrote...

I got them both free with the game. Could they pick a worse time to give me novels? Why would I read when I have Skyrim?

I haven't read that book, but that's pretty much why I decided not to join the Stormcloaks. Skyrim (and the Empire) would be even more weakened and vulnerable from in-fighting, even if a rebellion is successful. And I don't think the Skyrim population would very much enjoy being under absolute Thalmor rule, as opposed to 'just' a religious ban.
The Empire is simply forced to do what the Thalmor tells them to.

Also does anyone hear like a really loud static when gaining a dragon soul or any generic soul? I've done the 41000 hz fix but that only fix the white noise in the background still get a lot of static when the soul is being absorbed.

I have a question about Soul Trap. When I kill someone and fill a soul gem does it use my strongest gem? I'd hate to fill a Grand Soul Gem with a fox soul.

Good question, I'd like to know the answer to this as well.
