*Sigh*

The PS3 version has a saving problem that eventually makes the game unplayable for people when the framerate drops really low. Once the save-game file size goes above 6 MB, the game starts to have a lower FPS count and also starts to not work properly. I haven't been able to play much, but already it's starting to slow the game down significantly. The PS3 problems section on the Bethesda forums has exploded with threads about this, it seems the problem is widespread.
:(

I'm going to be unbelievably pissed if they don't properly fix the PS3 version of Skyrim. This is way worse than the Oblivion GOTY Edition for the PS3 where you couldn't cure vampirism.

There's coming out with a new patch soon...which probably means many weeks.

Wow, there's more High Elves then I thought...some of them are even NICE.

Impossible! You sure you aren't drunk, boy? I can believe dragons coming back but that?

I heard this cheery ass voice and I turned around and it was a high elf. I was shocked lolzzz

Some of the races only have one voice for each male and female for the non critical ones. But those races are the ones that are less common.

Found out Alduin is like Seethe The Scaless in Dark Souls: you giht him one time then he flees and you got to track him down again.

How long does it take to get smithing from 15 - 30?

Not long.

Start by upgrading all your equipment as high as you can then:

Kill wolves, etc. to make leather.

Turn leather into leather strips.

Buy iron ingots.

Make lots of iron daggers.

Start with enough materials and you can get from lvl15 to lvl 30 in under half an hour.

... but really want to hit lvl 40. ;)

The reason I'm not too fond of High Elves is because of those Thalmor. One of them said "Get out of the way or I'll make a fine pair of boots out of you!". 20 minutes later, his skull sat so peacefully on my shelf :D

For anyone looking to make Daedric Armor, there's a quest in Markarth that gives you chance at 4 Daedric hearts if you make the right choices. It also gives you several ebony ingots and some gold ingots, which you can make jewelry out of and sell.

I really like the look of the basic fur armor. I wore that for probably the first 20-30 hours of playing the game until I found some enchanted elven stuff that was too good to pass up.

(playing about 90% of the time in third person, so the appearance of the armor is a little bit more important than the stats for me.)

I like the appearance of the daedric and dragonbone as well, but I'm playing a stealthy character so I have to stick with light armor.

Hmm.. Glass Armor used to look good in other games, specially with the Black Glass Armor mod i/o the stupid Green! hehe. Haven't seen any Glass armor parts in Skyrim yet, only weapons. But it is the best Light armor around, I guess. Also, there are Dragonbone and Dragonscale armors, right? One heavy and one light?

I think Dragonbone and Dragonscale both come in heavy and light variants but I'm not 100% sure.

Best looking armour I've seen so far is the Theives Guild stuff. Its got decent bonuses too so I think I'm going to stick with it. It looks pretty cool when worn with the mask of Krosis(sp) too.

but one thing I found to be crappy, was in a bounty quest I had to kill a Dragon. No biggie I've killed 12 of them so far, but lo and behold I reach the spot to fight him and some undead Wizard pops out of the ground with this golden facemask on, the pair nearly killed me, till I took out the wizard, then the Dragon was History once I got it to land. But yes lots of ambushes and traps can just come out of no place in that game. Still its rather enjoyable.

You found that crappy?

Would you rather everything be  rigidly predictable, and strictly scripted  instead?

Yea but the Thalmor are bastards, they don't represent the majority of Altmer in Skyrim or Cyrodiil or Morrowind.

Meh, Doesn't hurt really to have a prejudice, I suppose, and your right.Typical citizens don't really bother me but Altmer are said to have haughty personalities generally. I guess I hate those "Official" Altmer-types (Such as the Thalmor and Altmeri Dominion). Always gaining influence and stepping into things they shouldn't. Some High Elven mages can be friendly.

Anyone finished the dark brotherhood questline? I'm getting fined everytime I return to the Night Mother for no apparent reason. I wish I could have purified the santuary again =/.

If you are playing on PC without checking the checkbox labeled "FXAA" - you need to check that box.

It seems to result in a visual improvement for things like smoke, fog and dust clouds. I went in a tavern and there was suddenly more ambiance in the room that was not visible before

To whomever asked, Infernal City + Lord of Souls are considered canon.
I still dislike the fact that we're not able to knock people out. Sometimes I don't wanna kill, y'know? :(

It's an AA type that helps eliminate jaggies. You can disable other types of AA if you have it turned on. :D

Edit:  Nvm,this place is huge lol.  It's a manor, gigantic.

Edit, edit:  three huge floors, it's ridiculous.

No kiddin lol.  I'm about to buy the furniture.  I had a ton of dragon scales and bones left so I put them to good use, Dragon Armor sells for over 2K each.  I got 4 daadric hearts from a quest don't know if I want to make are another set for Lydia, or keep separate looks and make some armor to sell.

I am playing Skyrim as well. Just become the archmage in Whitehall, I also killed two blood dragons there as well.
This game is epic, the best computer RPG so far to date I think. I was gutted last night when Lydia died though she was a good battle sister.

House who needs a house when I own the whole mage collage? All for free as well.

How big is it compared to Rosethorn Hall in Skingrad?

Better you than me. I've not even been to Riften yet.<G> But I've got 90 other places found so far and just completer the mage college. Like that one there.

What do you mean? You can always go on-handed and knock them out. Usually they yield after that! Unless they're scripted to be hostile like bandits and stuff. I just tested with an Argonian on the road. Skooma traded. After he called me a snitch and trained m y heavy armor a bit (with his fists), I knocked him down and we went back to business. He even gave me a discount! (after I equipped the right amulet, that is.. hehe)

---

Also, there is not one single place in this game that feels the least rushed, is there? They're all (at least the smallest portion of it, which is all I've discovered after 55 hours playing) so well designed and unique!!!

Just reading your post and started laughing as I just finshed the mage college as well. I thought that it was a great one to do this time through.

I also had Lydia as my compania and she's gone. we some how got seperated in the last quest for the staff and I've not seen her since. I hope she finds her way back.
