Reminds me when I used a land Dreugh as a training buddy in the Oblivion Arena. Good times.jreezy wrote...
Been toying with a giant for about an hour now because he's too tall to reach me completely. Going to be using him as a training buddy.

Not sure about the fastest, but the BEST horse is Shadowmere.

I really hope a mod comes out that adds some kind of mounted combat. Or at least the ability to swipe at annoying wolves/thiefs that try attacking you while riding on the road.
And add in the ability for your companion to ride a horse with you. I always feel bad riding on my awesome horse while Lydia is sprinting far behind just to keep up.
Mounted combat would be good, it's really annoying having to jump off the horse to take on some wolves.
I bought a second horse to see if lydia would ride it, what a waste. Although I do find it mildly amusing having Lydia running along behind

Am I the only one who hasn't even touched a horse?
I haven't but I'm lagging behind most, I'm level 11 and I haven't got out of the Riverrun/Falkreath area yet, not even to Whiterun.

I've gone all over almost. I been mosty going around the top edge of the map stopping at random dungeos and doing quests that aren't out of my way. I have a bunch of quests I've finished but haven't gotten back to turn in yet lol.
I still remember how terrible horses were in Oblivion and just havn't thought about using them here.

I haven't. Probably won't.
The inability to fight from horseback - and apparently, even to talk to people from horseback - makes them lose their appeal. I can walk just fine, or fast travel.

Lydia seems to have more AI issues than other companions. I never had any trouble with Borgakh. I miss that Orc.
She seems to equip stuff randomly. She won't put on any wrist guards or boots but will happily wear a helmet and armour I gave her. One minute she is using a shield and mace, the next its a mace and staff, then just the staff. Sometimes she is using an enchanted bow I gave her and sometimes she goes back to the default bow she carries. I can't figure her out at all.
But other than that I've used her the most and had the least amount of AI issues. Except for her epic battle against a tree I can't think of any major issues at all.

Currently Level 17 and still taking my time. I'm 44 hours in and still feel like I haven't done too much. Savoring every second. This game is a masterpiece.
Without spoilers, how good are the faction storylines when you get into the meat and potatoes of them?

I could watch the aurora borealis for hours, especially with the right track playing in the background.

My favourite track of the game is this one, so epic.
Whenever it comes on, I feel the need to stop whatever I'm doing and just admire the surroundings.

Craig Sechler (male Elf voice from Oblivion, Butch/Harkness from Fallout 3, etc.) is back as well. He voices Cicero and Peryite (possibly Molag Bal as well).
Cicero....
That little derp made my speakers catch on fire!

Eh, thats probably why I'm using my horse a bunch, cause I'm trying to avoid fast travelling to only when I'm absolutely weighed down with loot and need to drop it off at my house.

In the Dark Brotherhood, if you read Cicero's Journal Volume 1, he writes; 27th of Rain's Hand, 4E 187 "Completed the Arena contract. I ultimately decided to pose as a starstruck fan, and immediately got into the Grand Champion's good graces. While escorting the arrogant fool through the Great Forest, I slashed his throat and left the corpse for the bears."
....always knew that little sh*t was something sinister.

I've been finding The Shadow really handy as a stealth character.
I used it to backstab a giant and almost one-shotted him.
Well, those three signs are for skill building. I work on skill building first before enhancements, weapons actually do more damage the more skill you have with them. A character at Two-Handed 100 does more damage with a Steel Dagger, base without enhancement or perks, than the same weapon on a brand new character at Two-Handed 15.
I don't know if it's the same with Sneak. But for me, the 20% skill increase is more important than a sign that increases the damage I do with my weapon.

Its just so awesome to be able to continually upgrade your armor/weapons and then to enchant your weapons and give them their own names! Yes, my flaming sword is totally named Lightbringer
Do elemental enchantments make a weapon show that element? Like a flame enchanted weapon which blade is on fire? If not, then your sword is not flaming, now is it?
I love it when games do that, I wonder why more games don't nowadays.

Bethesda put in the Underdark into Skyrim... Seriously can I pay these guys again? The fact that you find this place after a long ass Dwarf Dungeon...and it opens into THIS...god was it beautiful. Only thing that would make it better is if there was a Dark Elf village that had escaped the destruction fo Morrowind.
Yep, that one massive dwemer dungeon alone has more content than most RPGs released in the past few years.
When you open up that door into the mushroom cavern you are like, "Good lord am I still in the same dungeon?" I mean, there is a freaking LAKE inside the dungeon. It feels like you could play an entire game inside that one area.
That looks amazing, can't wait to find this pseudo-underdark area.
I finally found the Storm Call Shout, bad news for Dragons
