Most Giants don't attack me on sight. They give me the whole "get out of here" emotes that people give if you enter their house in the evening. If I move away from them they'll stop. Some quest centric giants will immediately attack though.

Lucky you. They apparently attack me on-sight. Must be a glitch. When are we expecting a patch again?

You prolly getting to close. Up to a certain distance they will do the "get out of here" dance as mentioned!

By the time I met my first Frost Troll, I thought it would be very hard but I killed it with one Fire Shout, 1 swing of my Greatsword (fire enchanted) and the killing animation finished it. =)

How do I cure vampirism?

Cure Disease potion and shrine blessings are not working. :(

Go to Morthal and talk to the innkeeper there, he'll tell you that Falion is studying vampires and he can cure your condition. You will then get the Rising at Dawn quest.

Windhelm is your starting point. Just talk to people and they should mention someone performing the Black Sacrament.

Also if you have your weapons out they get a lot more agitated as well.

Since my knowledge of the last 200 years of Tamriel's history is ..... minimal, what's the orc's current relationship with the Empire and the Nords and what side out of the Empire and the Stormcloaks would the orcs benefit from most?

Didn't the Orcish capital Orsinium get sacked by Bretons and Redguards in the Fourth Era? I read that somewhere...
Not sure how the Nords like them.

Every race would benift from the empire...the stomcloaks really don't want non-nords in skyrim. Especially considering the orcs are located in strongholds throughout Skyrim since their home was ransacked.

EDIT: They did do it again....

Pretty sure that was the First Era.
Unless of course the bastards did it again...

EDIT: This series would benefit greatly with some sort of organized codex.

I really need to find the second word for the elemental fury shout, that thing just saved my life against a cave bear.

Orsinium was sacked after the Empire fell apart shortly after the start of the Fourth Era...the Orcs didn't have imperial protection anymore. They are now nomads again. Which is why there are a few villages in Skyrim

I wish there was an Almanac of Tamriel.
And YES, those bastards did it again... Do the people of Tamriel have no sense of "International laws" and "honor"<_

There isn't a "Delete" function? Go to your Skyrim folder, Data, Saves, and remove them.

Well Orsinium is technically in Highrock so the Bretons feel like it's their land. The Orcs are an alligory of the American Indians, and the Jews. Hammerfell was their homeland and the Redguards were foreigners who took Hammerfell away from the Orcs. Got to remember Osimer means Pariah Folk. In their history Orsinium is actually a change of pace, and it's destruction is always seen as inevitable. I'm suprised the Thalmor aren't using the kinship with the Orcs to sow rebellion in the Northernlands, since Humans treat them like ****.

It's kind of sad that Orcs will always be a nomadic people. But still, the provinces do love killing eachother...

Question: I'm just starting to do any of the Civil War related quests (or rather, just got to Windhelm and Solitude). Is there some clear point in getting involved with either the Empire or Stormcloaks thats a clear point of no return? I'm not sure who my PC should support yet and don't want to necessarily get locked out from the other side's quests too early.

YES.

I think it was Hag's End- that dungeon was creepy with the one Hagraven that kept disappearing. Kind of creepy with the last part of the dungeon where it looked like the Witches were trying to turn into Hagraven or something? What with the one dead witch on the sacrifice table with the hagraven feathers all around.

I think that the tome "Orsinium and the Orcs" can be clarifying.

Also, I love lockpicking in this game. I have no points on it whatsoever but I never failed to open a lock, even a Master lock. I break a few, perhaps half-a-dozen to a dozen on them but they all have a tell. Of course, with breaking lockpicks and opening them increasing the skill, I have now 50 at the skill. Does it help at all with no perks on the tree?

Yeah the point of no return is once you give someone the Jagged Crown at that point you've committed to one side, though completing the entry quest for one faction will fail the other but you can still give the Crown to the other party and betray the one who accepted you in the first place.

Just finished the Forsworn Cocnspiracy quest and the from thew vibe I got from the Forsworn they kinda reminded me of the Celtic tribes when the Romans occupied Britain.
And I was so surprised that I couldn't pay off the guard after I resisted arrest in the Shrine of Talos. That whole escaping the mine bit was done so well and even though their leader was a bitter old bastard I teared up when I heard Braig's story:(

Does anyone have a High Elf character? Do the Thalmor treat you any differently?
