Town guards are useless :/ i was just attacked by 3 bandits and they did absolutely NOTHING!

I somehow feel like either the lveling up is way too fast, or then I am playing the game somehow wrong. The only main keep I've been to is Whiterun, and I already got full glass armor and weaponry and I am level 30. I can't help but feel like the leveling is just too fast; Because if you reach the level cap when you still have half of the game left, it kind of eats away the experience.

Are you gimping your character, Warheadz?

I don't remember being able to do that without doing serious non-combat leveling and epically doing myself-in on my character build early in the game.

I don't think that's a Windows XP problem. I've had it happen a few times and I'm on Windows 7 64-bit. I did a lot of modding and tweaking that made it happen less, but it still happens.

I'm starting to join the grumblers who are wondering if they tested the PC version at all.

They obviously didn't do a good job of testing it. The UI is barely functional at times. Actually, character creation, the first thing you do, can be quite a mess.

Since the sales are so good across all platforms though(including PC), hopefully Bethesda will fix up Skyrim, or at least give the PC more love in their next game. Geeze.

Bethesda is working on a multi-platform patch.

After some thought, I believe I shall remain a vampire. Stalking people all over the countryside to find their homes when you're a max level vampire and don't want to risk going to a city so you can feed on them is actually kind of epic.

Wow, that sounds majorly creepy now that I think about it.

How is that even possible?  I can't even wrap my head around this.  Unless there's a ton of dungeons around riverwood and you went through every single one of them even going the long way around the mountain... No I don't see it.  I've been all over the damn place and I'm only lvl 20.

I agree. That's one of the few things I dislike.
Also sorta understand why they did it. The perks are more important than skill levels this time around and since they can only be gained once a level they have to give them to you more often to balance things out.

I'm eagerly waiting for the Creation Kit to fix that for me.

Don't worry. From what I've read, level up gets really slow at some point... like exponentially, unless of course you start raising skills you never did and then you'll be a jack of all trades char which can be good for some, not for me. I'm a very specialized char and after 75 hours into the game, I'm still at level 32. But a real bad azz char now! =)

Ah I see. I been specializing big time. I sold my bow early and haven't used one since. Several magic schools I barely use at all. Lvling up higher lvl skills takes longer. Example my two-handed is now at 52 so it takes quite a while to lvl up. meanwhile my Conjuration is in the 20s somewhere I summon my Flame atronoch and its like half a skill point already.

My character's only been focusing on Conjuration and Alteration really, and just reached level 5. That said, I'm only 10 hours in.

Oh yeah... got my copy yesterday.

I just walked into a couple of giants. Really didn't thought about it and attacked. Bad idea. The last thing I saw was my body being catapulted into the stratosphere.

Note to myself: Don't attack giants early on. Especially not three at once.

I glitched a quest today. Now I have a forever unfinished quest sitting in my journal that I can't get rid of. Argh.

Yeah loving Warewolf. Only done it once so far (hasn't recharched since) but clearing that dungeon was badass. It felt like a different game with how fast you are and how you can't access loot or inventory or any menu except pause.

Can someone help me with the Marriage Ceremony quest?
I'm very confused here. I asked that Dunmer girl in the College to marry me and even took her to the Temple of Mara with me and asked the Head Priest to marry us. He said it will start at dawn which according to all the guides I've read starts at 8am in Skyrim So I waited until 7 and then my "fiancee" said I left her at the altar:blink:

I just saw a couple of bandits get hit by a Giant's slam... I could count to 20 befere the first one fell from sky...
Seriously, somethings wrong with physics in Tamriel. The same goes on death when by body flies like an arrow after a warrior's charge... :/

The intro is intentionally vague so that the player can role play  their  own story.


And frankly, I'm not sure "crossing the border" is the reason why you're set to be executed.  The justicar as no records of your crimes.  Your name is not on  their "to-die" list.

Well yeah, I have specialized too. But in Thief skills. Alchemy, Sneaking, lockpicking, pickpocketing, one handed and archery. The thief-noncombat skills raise ridiculously fast.

I'm not leveling any magic, heavy armor, blocking, enchanting.... So yes, I am specialized.

Dawn starts at 6am, not 8am. 8am is when the shops open.

Also, you're not supposed to go to the Temple of Mara with her. You have to go alone. Your fiancee will show up after you've made it to your wedding in time. Then the Head Priest says something like "ah the groom is here, let the marriage begin" and at that moment your fiancee walks in and the ceremony begins. At least, that's how it went when I did the whole marriage thing.

I see but are you supposed initiate the ceremony by talking to the priest  at dawn? Because that's not working for me, I told him that I wanted to get married and waited until 5:30-ish and then hung around for another half hour but  there aren't any dialgoue options to start the wedding and my fiancee isn't arriving either.

Yup. They just caught you by accident while ambushing the Stormcloaks and the Captain in Helgen was just to desinterested to let you go free. Probably had to fulfil her beheading quota or something like that
