YOWZA!!!
That is amazing! Like I mentioned, I enjoyed Morrowind much more than Oblivion because Morrowind; while still an open World, felt a bit more Focused than Oblivion.
Whoever did the work on that Modpack did a truely amazing job!

I'm sorry but minus the water I'm not seeing it....I've seen plenty of better looking games on my GAMECUBE, nevermind my 360. STill I will give credit because it is one hell of an improvement from the original morrowind.

I am not really up-to-date with the latest info, but did they finally added diagonal animations and some... you know, animation reactions to being hit(unlike Oblivion?)?

Definitely. They reworked all of combat. As a part of the overhaul, every element of combat has been isolated and analyzed. And given much attention to. As a part of that, reaction to combat strikes is included. So if I hit someone in the side of the head with a sword (let's say a dragon), their head will swing to the side from the impact, contigent on physics, character level and ability to what the proper reaction would be from a given blow. If I run a one-handed axe into the shoulder of a Necromancer, their shoulder will give to the impact...possibly even staggering them. It's not confirmed yet if dismemberment is a part of combat...hope to hear something on it at E3...but I did hear rumors that it is possible to render limbs useless and severely injured during a given fight. I think some of the levelling perks available give direct focus to that as a bonus during character evolution and progression.

It was confirmed by Todd in a couple of the interviews after the Park City press event that there is what he calls "limb damage"

I don't think it will be more demanding than any other 2011 games, especially since they are incorporating DX11 performance enhancing optimization features, but not extra DX11 eye-candy features.

Probably desktop GTS 450, GTX 460 or AMD 5770 should be fine for 1080p.

Graphics don't look so hot for a 2011 game. The things I noticed most are the lack of quality light and shadow (using 'ambient light' instead) and low definition textures and models. I love the art design though and will wait for more info on the final PC version. Plus I'd guess it will run on almost any system.

I'm still looking forward to it.

(IMO)

So if I maxed Oblivion, can I run Skyrim on medium settings?

What is your graphics card and monitor resolution?

GT8600 with 1400x960 (Something like that). I'm planning to upgrade but I'm just curious on when I need to do so.

Hmmm... that's a tough one. At that resolution I'm not exactly sure what would be the minimum level card to get playable frame rate.

You might have to upgrade your PSU in order to make it compatible with a new graphics card, but there are quite a few cards less than $100 that will probably smoke Skyrim at 1440x900, like the GTS 450.

Apparently you can hire camponions in Skyrim.
Does that mean they gonna follow you forever like in Fallout 1/2?
I would be very pleased!! ^^

My favorite image is the one that looks like Edoras from Lord of the Rings.
(Can't show real image of Whiterun because it hasn't been officially released.)

Now that horses are officially confirmed...and Todd Howard said he wanted them as good as in Red Dead Redemption or not at all...I'm gonna be that guy to mention horse armor. And yes...I'm willing to pay $2.99 for some wicked horse armor, just in case.

Also...a black unicorn with a fiery horn would be cool as all hell. Just saying!!

It would be pretty sick if we can ride mammoths and charge one full speed at a dragon.

That'd be sweet. It would be an epic clash. I'm sure the dragon would say some nasty things to you for doing that.

Pft I would not give it the chance. Or should it seem like it won't work I'll take a pagge out of the crazy section of the history book, and set it on fire and send it at the dragon.

Speaking of horses and RDR it counts as a fail in my book if I can't drag people with a rope behind my horse, or yank them off of a stage coach while doing that.

Well while we're all waiting for Skyrim I came across this mod that will be released soon for Oblivion. Just copy and paste the link below. This mod ought to kill a lot of time.

Here is a comparison of the character models we have seen so far in Skyrim vs. Oblivion:

What do you think?
