You got to wonder who leaks the info though. Game Informer's been having leaks for just about every major release. Security needs some improvements.

I wonder if they'll implement some kind of timer on guards. It's a little odd that I could stand for an hour not picking any option and they don't just knock me out and throw me in jail.

Think of it is the game pausing after the NPC has talked, and when you select a response only a second or less has actually passed.

Seriously, timed choices suck. I don't think fast when role-playing, and timing conversations will add nothing to the game for me. Actually it'll take away from the experience, as I'll have to frustratingly reload again and again. That or I'll just quit.

It'll be cool if there was actual investigations by the Guards when ever you kill someone or something. Agreed?

Got our GI in the mail today. The screenshots are beautiful and I like everything I've heard about the gameplay changes so far. Trying to restrain my nerd joy since it's a long time until November, but this is what I was hoping DA2 would be like.

It's going to be hard not to play as a Nord.

In Drakan, one could fly a dragon, in Divinity 2 one could morph into a dragon, this seems to be the next best thing.

Even though I prefer dark elves, I'll probably play my 1st character as a Nord. My first Oblivion character was a Nord bruiser so I have a nostalgic fondness for them anyway.

I'm fond of playing Breton warriors myself.

What can I say, I love spitting in the face of stereotypes.

I simply must see the new engine. This...is ....torture...

And I'll probably start as Nord or Dark Elf.

Okay, firstly:

YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not that I have that out of the way (The fanboy thing), this is what I would like to see in TES V: Skyrim.

Sheogorath.

Thank you, that is all.

Mudcrabs.  I want my character to ride into battle atop a war mudcrab waving aloft the Carrot of Indignation and shouting her warcry of "Wibble!  Sir Timothy,  I have come to reclaim the Teasmaid of Provenance!"

Yes! I also want to enchant a sleigh and some reindeer with levitation spells. :wizard:

-No level scaling, or at least no level scaling for dungeons and no bandits with uber gear. I dont want to see every dungeon scaled to my level with enemies and loot being determined by what level my character is at time, what is the point of leveling up when you can complete any dungeon easier at a lower level?

I guess you're no fan of the level scaling in Mass Effect then?

I just realized something. We are going to be fighting dragons, who presumably breath fire, and dark elves have 75% resist fire, so doesn't that give them a ridiculous advantage?

Ahhhh November is an eternity away! Its going to be hard choosing my first character. I love nords cause of my nordic ancestry, dark elves are totally badass, but i just love argonians (probably cause of my childhood dinosaur/reptile obsession) :P It could possibly be interesting being an Argonian Dragonborn :P

Apparently level scaling is going to be done like Fallout 3. Never played it, so can anyone explain how it works and if it is good.

The way I understand it, some areas will level with the player but not all enemies will.  In FO3, a deathclaw was always a deathclaw, so if you were unfortunate enough to come across one at level 4 or 5, you were in trouble.  Meanwhile raiders are always dumb raiders, even when you're at level 15 and can mow through them.   Some areas of the game are safer zones for lower levels and some are kill zones.

The drawback to the FO system is that it hinders exploration somewhat, but it does help with immersion since you don't have the world changing with the player.

Also, you've never played Fallout?!

I hadn't really played Fallout 3 till this Christmas. Stop getting new games for five years, and you find yourself struggling to keep up with the new releases. On the bright side, it's been a while since I've been bored.

In one of the scans (that Stan deleted) it said if you drop an item or whatever a kid might pick it up run up to you and say "I think you dropped this".

Confirmation of children?

Yes, there will be children.  That was a description of the radiant AI which will also change some questing based on what you've done in the world.

I never played 1 or 2, but played Fallout 3 to death.  In fact I'm going back to it now after I got bored with Fallout New Vegas.  If you like open world games, they're both great.  I liked the main story better in FO3.

One of the little tidbits from the GI article is that the inspiration for menu design was iPad/ iPod touchscreens.

The thing I like is that you can dual wield, wielding any combination of weapons, shields and spells.  I'm so attached to playing a battlemage so I love being able to do quick combinations of spell and weapon attacks.

I haven't seen anything like a VATS targeting system described, but there will be bullet time cinematics and some finishing moves that vary based on the enemy and the weapon.
