Question from a noob: I'm at Ragnvoid Temple. There's a giant sarcophagus. when you activate it, it says: "This sarcophagus requires 2 items to open".
m'kay, what two items?

So I've been doing the Thieve's GUild quests and well I had sold my armor that I was given and now I can't buy from the fence in The Red Flaggon or oes anyone know the item codes?
Just finish the thieves guild quest line.
You get way better and badass looking armor while you are one of the quests.
And get the mask of Krosis if you call yourself an archer assassin.
Yea but I was able to buy/sell stolen goods to fence there but I managed to find the item codes.

And over on the Bethesda forums, people are already trying to fix the PC menus/UI. These are just mock ups by somebody over there, but they look so much better than whats in the game now:
That definitely looks nice, but personally I am having no trouble with the UI whatsoever. Using WASD for scrolling might be a little bothersome, but I honestly have no idea why people complain so very much about it. It might not be the best inventory ever, but it does its job well enough.
Of course, I'm quite certain some people would explode with righteous indignation at the mere thought of the interface being designed around a console gamepad.

The soundtrack in this game is totally eargasmic. I won't be able to play this game for the next few days, but at least the soundtrack will be stuck in my head.
I won't lie: I found myself chanting DOVAHKIIN DOVAHKIIN as I was fighting a dragon.
And humming the Oblivion leitmotif of course.

This is what I'm waiting for before I play the game, for the community to extract the consolitus. As usual, the UI was made exclusively for gamepads. My hat goes off to the mod community for fixing what Bethesda was too lazy to do in the first place.

Slow down Slim it's not possible at this point. Here is another problem with the UI. The way it's designed is just terrible.

And I had no problems with Skyrim UI or Controls except perhaps the whole "seeing what your character looks like while he is equipped with the items you've selected." I've seen much worse UI in even worse games than this.

As for the constellation perk trees, I have found that part of the interface to be quite enjoyable to navigate. Shiny!
I had a couple of problems with keybindings because I use a NumPad, but I was able to resolve them by remapping the "E" "R" "A" and "D" keys to mouse buttons or numpad buttons outside of the game, using my mouse and numpad driver software. My understanding is this keybinding problem is being addressed in the next patch.

And while we're at it, They really *should* put the 'active effects' list somewhere on the main game screen. it's friggn vital. yet It's so buried and hidden deep within the menus that I didn't even know it existed until my second day playing the game, when I got my first shout and the tool-tips told me to click the magic tab and scroll down. And even then, I only discovered it on accident because I scrolled down too much. It was then that I realized my character had been diseased for god knows how long. lol

I don't mind scrolling. Scrolling doesn't bother me. But I *definitely* wish they'd do something like the "color-highlight equipped items" idea, as well as "equipped items on top" idea. it would keep me from accidently selling my equipped items. (did that a lot for the first couple of days.)

Same for me. Now that I know it's there I understand why all the townfolk keep telling my character that she looks unwell.

Also has anyone tried the min/max build on Bethesda forums? I'm at level 45 atm, and it's insane. One hit power attack ancient and blood dragons on Master difficulty. Although the loops will probably get nerfed in the patch.

Are you using OP items from maxed smithing/enchanting/alchemy etc.?
I'm at level 33 and I can barely scratch Blood Dragons and Frost Dragons unless I trick them into attacking some giants or other enemies to help me.
Most of the time I'm just running away and trying to hide, rapidly consuming all my potions.

If it weren't for the fact that I cannot rotate items in the menu when I need to I would totally agree with you.
I can work with the keyboard to move around the inventory just fine but that glaring problem almost kept me from getting throw an early dungeon.
and I have the second claw now and its the only quest/dungeon I'm not looking forward too.

And the wonderful music has prompted me to buy the Soundtrack, thanks for the link Bekkael:D and it looks it will be signed by Mr.Soule himself, bonus:happy:

Same complaint here.
Played for two days with npc's commenting that I looked pale and asking if I were ill.
Started to wonder if I'd been "turned' and hadn't noticed.
Had to dig through the manual to find where to look ... it was "just" joint rot as something like that. <_<
Question for all the non-human players out there:
It would seem that all the previous "dragon-born" have been human.
Is there any comment about this when you play a non-human?

You're welcome! I thought getting a signed copy was a real bonus too. Ignorant person that I am, I had to google Skyrim's soundtrack when I couldn't find it on iTunes. I can't even remember the last time I actually bought music on a disc (and there's four!), but I'm really excited about getting it. The music combined with the beautiful skies atop the snowy mountains nearly had me in tears the first time I played the game.

The absolute worst has happened. I had my Skyrim save stored on a flash drive so I could move it easily between the upstairs Xbox and the downstairs Xbox. Now it’s saying my save was corrupted. All my lovely Dragon Shouts, my armor, experience, my extensive book collection. All gone. /sadface

Oh no! I'm so sorry, I know how disheartening that is from experience.
But looking on the bright side, you have a more complete idea of how to build your character, now that you have a bit of experience. Maybe even more fun on the second go?
Ah, yes. Through my complete nerdrage meltdown I never thought about it like that! That does make me feel a little better. Thanks! Still, it was one of those moments when you start off whispering the word “no” to the television and by the end, your eyes are bulging and you’re speaking in tongues. I'm going to miss her.
