Hm... I think Fenris joined the Legion. Or at least his voice actor did.
That he did!
And Captain Armando Bailey is the general of the legion; And Jentha from the blue suns is the leader of the dark brotherhood.
There are ME/DA voice actors here and there.
Hogan is Tullius? I have to listen more closely!

What are the distinct physical features of a Breton? I'm playing a Breton now, mainly because I wanted to play a Paladin/Templar character and a Breton was most suitable for that job. However, when I look at my Breton, he looks like a normal Imperial human being to me. There is no real difference between my Breton character and my Imperial character.
Aren't Breton supposed to be half-elves? Then why don't they look more elfish?

They have been half elves an enormously long time ago. Nowadays they just have the half elven blood (and therefore the magic resistance) but look like normal Imperials or Nords because they evolved in the same way as them. Their Elvish ancestry is only detectable upon a closer inspection of their eyebrows, ears, or high cheekbones.
That's at least what the Pocket Guide to the Empire says.

Another question:
Talos, or also known as Tiber Septim. Was he a Nord, an Imperial or a Breton? I read that he was born in High Rock (home to the Breton), but he served in the Imperial Legion and eventually fought with the Nord.
So, what was Tiber Septim's race? Does anyone know? Or is it a big mystery?
I'm pretty new to TES, do I have a lot of questions (Oblivion was my first TES game but I never really played it that much).

I just used a tried and true tactic against large and slow enemies.
I circled around it whilst attacking, it was too slow and kept missing me with it's smashes. Eventually it went down.
It's funny though, because Brelyna(my Dunmer Mage companion) ran away and cowered when she saw the Centurion for the first time. I did not know that could happen with Companion AI:lol:

You can't kill certain NPCs, they are immortal.
They will go down and stand up after a while.

I think the magic flamethrower is so efficient! And when it fails there is a weapon in your right hand to destroy the enemy.
I prefer Mage to Warrior in general. Killing with steal is not much fun

yeah, that one sucks. And I discovered why it happens. Are you taking 'shortcuts'? As in, jumping off rocks and low cliffs to get to where you want to go, instead of taking the long 'paved' route? Because companion AI is set to do the latter.I'm perpetually attacked by some bears, wolves, sabre teeth, in the wild and my companion is lost somewhere back the down trying to figure out how to catch up and can't help me
Personally, I'm finding myself just leaving my companions at home more often in this game. They're too much of a hassle. I'm tired of accidently wiping them out via friendly fire, and waiting for them to catch up etc.

No. It is not PR nonsense. This is how games work: First we have the sub systems for graphics, sounds, 3D rendering, etc. This stuff is usually part of the OS and controled by drivers, Direct3D, etc, or console dependent. At the other side of the spectrum there is the game. The game does not want to get involved with all those subsystems. It is rather complex and it makes the game's code dependent on the operatinng system, Direct3D, etc. It also makes porting games nearly impossible. So, in between there is a layer called the games engine. It interfaces with the platform dependent stuff and makes sure that the game's source code is the same for all platforms. In Oblivion's case this was the Gamebryo engine. In Skyrim's case this was rewritten.Brockololly wrote...

Those are the exact same codes as FO3 and Oblivion, wasn't this a Hole new engine?
I think the whole thing in saying Skyrim isn't Gamebryo is sort of PR nonsense. The Creation Engine or whatever Bethesda is calling it is clearly based on the same backbone as Fallout and Oblivion. They just drastically overhauled a lot of it. Its like how Portal 2 is technically using the Source Engine but its a radically overhauled Source engine compared to Half Life 2.
However, a games engine is still rather abstract. A good engine allows you to create any type of game, because it is also game independent. The disadvantage is that it is not specialized in the game you want to create.
So, a studio usually creates a layer on top of that which allows them to create their games much easier and allows them to work in teams on the same content and source code. Some of that is bought as "middle ware". It provides access to version control, content management, the pathfinding, level building, character animation, cinematics, etc., etc. In Oblivion's case this is the Construction Set. However, the one released to the public is a special version where all the stuff used to work in a production team has been removed. Kind of a light version of the real one.
The borders between those layers can be blurry.
TES games are complex. And each game has to be better than the previous one. To throw away everything created so far and starting from scratch when starting a new episode, doesn't make sense. So a lot of that is reused and improved. In the case of Skyrim the Gamebryo stuff was removed and replaced by in house code (maybe even providing costs saving in licensing fees), but the stuff that wasn't created by that company was reused and improved. The improvements must have been big enough to earn a new name for all that stuff: The Creation Engine.
That's not marketing at all. It's just the way it works.

I've only had to talk once to get someone so blocking out of the way. Otherwise I'vbe just walk around and bit and see if I can't get them to move. I want the AC move NPC's button.
In the widls, yeah if I go down a shear face or take other "odd" pahts I known the NPC will get stuck and lost and it is time to wait but a lot of the time just walking down the road and the taking a relatively simple path off to get an item or kill wolves results in an inexplicability long delay.
I'd dump my NPC but for two things:
1. At lvl 14 my mage seems fragile and I need the meat sheild
2. I need someone to carry crap since I am earning money by being a hero and not by being a manual laborer.

Okay! I finally got Blood on the Ice to finish. This might be a bit spoilery.
Once you get access to Hjerim, loot the bloody chest to the left of the doorway. This will give you an update. Go back to Jorleif and ask about the Butcher. He tells you to talk to Viola Giordano. She solves the murders for you. Once you go back to Jorleif and accuse the guilty party, the quest is finished. I skipped her before, tried to fix it another way, and couldn't finish the quest.
Now to backtrack on my Stormcloak dirty business so I can get Hjerim.
To continue the spoilery...don't you need the amulet that isn't in the chest in order to close the case?

They told people from the beginning to level naturally. To me this means developing crafting skills slowly alongside combat and defensive skills. If you spend hours making daggers, you're unbalancing your game- don't blame the system.
The crafting part of the game is always the part I hate. I'm still amazed anyone does this sort of tedious crap in a game. I do not want to do this sort of stuff. My job is to kill people and save the world not mix up a new batch of Skyrim Robotussin. The problem is as I read and follow along it seems that if you do not at least enchant the game puts into a bad box in terms of competeing with the scaling.

Tiber Septim was Bretonordic. His name was originally Hjalti Early-Beard and was originally from Alcaire. The book Arcturian Heresy I heard is validated in game anyway.
