Thanks GodWood. This clears things up. At first I thought Talos would have been a Breton because of his birthplace (High Rock). But it seems he's just a Nord who so happens to be born in High Rock.

That's what Bretonordic means: Nords born in High Rock. Just as the original Imperials were called Cyro-Nordic.

But the original Imperials aren't nords (are they)? As far as I understood, the Imperials are inspired on the real-life Romans. The Nords are inspired on the real-life Scandinavians (vikings), Breton are a little like the real-life old British people (except real-life Britts aren'f half-elfves), Redguards are based on the real-life African people and all the elves are just the same typical kind of elves you find in every fantasy story (dark elves, high elves and wood elves).

At least that's how I see it.

They aren't Nords. But Nords were the first human-like race, so they use prefixes. Like the ****** sapiens and ****** rhodesiensis.

Found a statue of Dibella lying around in a random building and decided to take it for myself. My Imperial set up a shrine to her in at his house in Whiterun, decorating it with red, blue, and purple mountain flowers and a three pieces of garnet and emerald as offerings to the godess. I would have offered some gold coin as well except I can't figure how to drop any. Jewels are better than gold anyways I suppose.

Thought it would add some nice flavor and background to my character. Placing that staute on the console was a nightmare though.

Damn thing keeps crashing to desktop all the ****ing time. Perkele! I want to play but constant crashing is a real immersion killer.

I had the same problem use a program called CFF explorer to make the main executable for Skyrim Large Address Aware, thus allowing it to access more than 2BG of RAM. My copy can now play with all 12GB and it's much more stable and crashes very rarely.

I'll try that. I've tried to make it large address aware with flag before. Fingers crossed. :)

To clear things up. All of the human races, except for the Redguards, are descendants of the Nedic race that came from the Island of Atmora.
The Nedes that were conquered by the Aldmeri (Elven ancestors) in High Rock and mixed with them came to be known as Bretons.

The Nedes that stayed in Skyrim (The first place reached by humans) came to be Nords.

The Nedes (Possibly Nords by that time), that came to the Imperial Province as slaves to the Ayleids, became the Imperials. Tiber Septim was, in fact, a Nord.

There were already Nedes in Tamriel before the Nords came from Atmora.

No. Nedes came from Atmora and first settled in Skyrim. Those who stayed in Skyrim were Nords.
For more info.

Damn, I lost the female companion (which the Jarl has given me for killing the dragon) in the way to kill the witches and that abomination (lol I'm horrible with names. I hope you understand) ... So she was useless in that mission.
That abomination had strong fire-bolts and my magic wasn't strong enough nor my archery to take it down. I made it a fast run into its base on the rock and killed it with my enhanced sword.

Can anyone tell me what makes the Dragonborn special? I don't understand if the Greybeards and Ulfric Stormcloak can use shouts why is the Dragonborn so important?

the dragonborn is able to absorb dragon souls and learn shouts instantly, unlike the greybeards, who must study for many years.

I'm not sure if Ulfric might be another dragonborn, or whether he studied for many years like the greybeards.

They possess the soul of a dragon, can speak Draconic and come from a bloodline of dragon hunters.

Having now invested 50+ hours into Skyrim just so that the game can die on me is really making me looking at DA II much more favorably. F*** Bethesda, I can't believe I got suckered into buying another buggy game from them. Fallout 3 crashed constantly for me on PC. I got a PS3, only to have New Vegas buggs out constantly for that platform, and now Skyrim lulls you into a false sense of security by running okay in the beginning and then strike you after you fake being sick from work for days. F*** Bethesda.

Just know that Bathesda did it all on purpose and they could've easily made such a huge game bug free.

There's a bug with Aura Whisper. I used this and my character's eyes now glow like a Draugr.

Khajit are fan-service for the furries amongst us. Argonians are just your typical lizard-men that usually are evil, but in TES they aren't. ;)

Indeed it is thank you :), getting myself lots of zerg portraits now.

And thanks to the guys for clearing my question up, kind of felt confused over the whole dragonborn and greybeards issue.

Seriously, these Dragon Attacks are getting out of hand, FAR too frequent. I can't go anywhere without a dragon attacking me.

Even after unlocking a lot of shouts and having 2 dragons who glitched and didn't give me a soul.

Still 22 souls left, 22.

This game is amazing except for the level scaling. Why even give me the choice to invest in anything other than combat if doing so means I get OHKO'd by half of the enemies in the game?

Because investing in other skills is how you level up your  character fast.   And leveling  up means you  can add points to your health, which makes it harder for enemies to OHKO you.  And  there are tons of other  combat-specific reasons to invest in these other skills  Take Alchemy for example.  You can brew a poison that renders any mage you hit *once* from ever casting another spell.  (Ravage magicka.... drains your opponent of 100% of his magicka).  Then there's  Blacksmithing.... mentioned about 1000 times on this thread.  Work on your blacksmithing, and you can  be wearing  and wielding ebony gear by level 12 or 13  (that's about 15 levels sooner than the game drops it from creatures you kill)  And once you're wearing Ebony or Daedric gear, you won't get one-shotted ever again.

As for level scaling when it comes to enemies....  does that even exist in this game?  I'm 34th level,  and With a few exceptions (namely bosses),  and I'm  still fighting the same types of creatures I was fighting when I was 10th level, and  they don't seem to have gotten any  more powerful.  For example, I was about 13th level when I faced my first Frost troll.   Back then he was kicking my ass in about 10 seconds.  Had to reload that encounter about 15 times.    Now, at 34th level, I'm still facing frost trolls, only I'm 1-shotting them now.  Same thing with  Restless Draugrs.  They're nasty opponents, if you're 8th level.  But face  4 of them bunched together at 34th level and you can kill them all with a single  sideways power attack.
