Interesting because I clear whole dungeons as werewolf.

How do you deal with Mages? Only thing that hurts me are those crazy fireballs. Two of them and boom... wolf's barbecue. Does char level affects Werewolves life/stamina/strenght? Aw well, I have to upgrade and unlock new wolf howls. Hate when Pyromancers are "too powerful" for my howling.

On a side note, I just finished a quest clearing a stronghold and killing the leader of a wolf haters gang. Of course, I never enter anywhere as the game was designed to suggest as main route. The grace and glory of Open Worlds!  When I finish the thing, long long dungeon, carefully explored like I love doing with all places in this game, I found an "Escape Tunnel". When I exit it, there's someone giving me a quest to clear the place... again? So I have to enter the tunnel I've just exited and open a gate I already had opened! LOL ... Fastest Quest in the game for me! =)

Oh, and Virumor, they are too powerful. Check how fast a Giant goes down in the first part of this video. The second part was made for fun. Always Master difficulty.

Speed is your best friend.
I got killed a few times because there was a big group of bandits and they killed me faster than I can do anything.  I used hit and run tactics charge attack them before they can cast or hit you.  If theres more people than you can handle at once.  Charge attack run to other side of room charge attack repeat until all dead.
I had the hardest time with a bunch of archers outside (one kept one shotting me as soon as I come) and I discover that if I'm constantly moving nothing can really touch me.

Wow, you can make Aela the Huntress Armor at the Skyforge.

Edit:
It's called Ancient Nord Armor and it's under Daedric for some reason. There's also another dragur category at the Skyforge as well.

...

Ok then, time to stop neglecting my smithing perks.

I've personally been using this one. It's not just destruction magic, but all magic. Plus, you can create Magical Staves too. Makes Dual Casting a lot more fun, but it's probably OP for lower difficulty levels. IDK, but it strikes a great balance for me. Been playing on Expert, Master sounds fun but I don't like HP Bloating much.

I bought the house in Dragonsreach for 5000 coins. Are other available houses to buy in other cities, garbage like it?

I've only seen the Windhelm house, but it's much bigger.  I think Winterrun is meant to be a starter house.

I bought the Winterrun house just so Lydia would have a cozy place to stay.  :)

Edit:  It seems that player houses are not giving even a Rested bonus, let alone Well Rested?  I assume that's a bug?  It kind of sucks.

Anyways I've went back to playing, and the marriage aspect of the game seems rather pointless minus some gold and food. More so given alot of the NPCs you have no option to have fallow you, or a "sex" option, for a well rested bonus like in F:NV. But that is a side add on and a first time, I just hope we get a patch or DLC to expand on this.

Like Kids for some of the couples, or quests centerd around it, such as I being married to Sylgja, it would be nice if she asked me to deliever a letter to her folks again, or asked to move some place closer to her family. Or even if some group or cult or another decided to threaten or kidnapped your LI and you had to save them or pay a ransome. You know something to give "Puprose" to that aspect of the game. So far the only thing that happens is

"I'm happy to see you my love" *Gives money, Gives food, silence* "Good bye my love" Thats rather bland and boring in a manner.

Also why can't I buy a damn house in riftin yet?

You have to do favors for the jarl and quests in an area to be eligible to buy a house there.

I don't think the marriage mechanic was meant to be a big deal.  It's like crafting- it's there if you want it as an rp choice, the rest is up to your imagination.  Otherwise you end up like Bioware with just 4 romance partners and fairly scripted paths.  FNV had no sex bonus, I don't know what mods you're downloading.  lol  edit: Unless you mean renting a bed, like with the prostitutes?

I'm sure there will be mods to expand the companion and marriage stuff.  I'll be getting the Marry Ulfric mod when it comes out.

Necro/Pyromancers drive me bat$#!+ crazy I tell you.  I've died at the hands of a F-in N/Pmage 5 times more than any dragon or giant...and my char is specc'ed primarily on a warrior track skills.  WTF?  Now, I just sprint at them, dodge their stupid fireballs, shout and beat them to death dual weilding a mace and war axe.  Sprinting is the only option I have to close the distance, and protect myself, as they kite the battlefield.  I friggin hate 'em.  Warriors too are extremely vulnerable to them.  I'm sure mages can engage in a battle of attrition with them, but warriors...no.  Oh, having Mjoll dual wielding fire staffs does gives them a taste of their own though.  Of course recharging those bad boys, consumes a load of resources.

Like many here, am having some problems navigating the UI. The manual says that the 'F' key toggles 1st/ 3rd person view, but this ain't working. What is the real answer?

F does toggle it, but you can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out of first person.  Also, you can zoom the camera back so far that you can play in isometric view.  Or zoom in close that you get the same view as the over the shoulder aiming view.   That is, if you're not playing on a laptop and using its mouse pad.

When people can't be actually bothered to read the description past the 2nd sentence before throwing wild assumptions around. Joke's on you. :P

However, I like how it actually shows the stuff in the usual table style ala Oblivion instead of the oversized Skyrim one.

I did read the description past the second sentence, but it doesn't tell you how you can change the font.  I did also notice it used a table style, but I fail to see a big difference between that and the default.

And then I read that there was a technical problem and possible loading if you store a lot of things and open a menu with lots of items.

Is it just me or is magic underpowered in this game?
With my Nord and his trusty Greatsword I have no problems at all.
With my Breton Battlemage I just hope that any simple Enemy loses at least 50% health before my mana runs dry. And by the eight divines, if anything comes into close combat I'm dead.

Maybe I'm just laking spells that pack a punch.

My mage is now level 20. I had to ditch the robes for Eleven Armor and had to suck it up and start enchanting at that to make the armor semi-useful. The tradeoff now is that I'm not much of a mage because in any decent sized fight I burn through magicka long before the fight ends (much much lower mana regn w/o the robes) and I have to switch the grossly inferior sword.

Mages would work better if your companion AI didn't suck and blow at the same time. If Lydia doesn't draw her sword and get in the way (she's awfully archery happy) I get killed, if she does draw her sword then she's always in the way in the halls and she gets killed by me. Lydia is, I assume, a sword and board gal based on what she is armed with when I get her but if you give her a two handed weapon to carry for you she will swtch every time. It looks like the logic is equip where damage = most.

Bloody Frost Dragon wouldn't land to fight for nothing in this world! Forced me, ME, a Warrior with a Greatsword, to use a bow! Pfff... After some 30 min he landed with still 3/4 of his health and I chopped him down to pieces! Ahh, the things we do for a dragon soul! =)

Funny, dragons love to land to fight me, in fact they love to land right ON me most of the time. I'd almost like to think it is "tactics" by the dragons since if you are a 2H warrior it makes sense to bombard from the air while my fragile mage needs to be taken out up close and personal.

I'm doing very well with my battlemage focused on perks in destruction magic (fire) and one handed swords.  Its nice having a good balance between magic and melee.  I use summoning to help keep enemies occupied while I burn or slash them.  The daedric artifact Sanguine's Rose is great to have as a mage.  Summons a Dremora with a two handed sword and he packs a deadly swing.  I only wear a combination of my arch-mage robes and light armor.

And just finished the main quest. Somewhat disappointed, as I didn't get any bonus artifacts or items.

On a separate note, apparently it's possible to obtain the Necromancer's Amulet while doing the "Blood on Ice" quest in Windhelm, but I apparently screwedit up completely, does anyone have the current stats for it available?

How many hours did the MQ take you. And only the MQ, if you can count up the hours doing only the main quest.

Is anyone else terrified of taking their housecarl out on quests? After getting Lydia killed when I fought my first dragonlord, I'm trying to baby my remaining housecarls. :/

Plus, horses die and dogs push you off cliffs, so...I'm thinking this game is better played solo. Just me and my flame atronoch girl.

I have a question: I've got...oh, I dunno, maybe between 10-20 hours in so far, and I've got four or five dragon shouts, but I can only use the force one and the sprint one. I went up to High Hrothgar and did that stuff but I've strayed away from the main quest since then (did not go to what's-his-name's tomb). And I've killed maybe five or six dragons and absorbed their souls, but I can still only use those two shouts. Do I need to do more of the main quest to use them?

There's a key/button you push to spend a dragon soul to unlock the shout.

You need to use the souls to unlock the shouts in the shouts-section of the magic menu. Point at a shout and press R.
