A better stream. Consider me amazed. I am no longer worried about the animations or combat.
Soundtrack sounds amazing, and I love the random dragon grabbing the Giant.

I think I'm going to have to give this one a pass after all. The combat looks extremely bad for me(admittedly better than previous Elder Scrolls), and Todd claiming that the game is over 300 hours long isn't helping either.
Yeah those games with epic battles and long exploration that give us our moneys worth sure do suck don't they?
Epic battles and long exploration in a fantasy world is not that interesting to me. More importantly, after about 50 or 60 hours I get tired of my current character. Or I become tired of walking my character. A 300 hour game simply does is not a dense enough experience for me to enjoy.

My main fear is that the open world will be invalidated by the five hour main quest (going off of Oblivion).
But we'll have to see more of Skyrim's story gameplay for that.

while i like oblivion better, one of the things i liked about morrowind was a main quest that took a while to do, not like oblivion where you would only be level 3 if you just done the main quest.

In the span of a couple years playing, I still haven't gotten around to completing the main quest of Oblivion. I will probably do it around 11.10.11
I have heard that the main quest of Oblivion takes around 10-15 hours and that Morrowind was roughly the same (I know there are speed runs for both where somebody finishes the game in 10 minutes, but ignoring that.)
Todd has mentioned in several interviews that the MQ of Skyrim is around 20 hours.
In any case, I imagine it must involve some epic civil war battles and considering this backdrop, hopefully the PC will take a larger role in the outcome, choosing sides and supporting one faction or the other.

mabye ive just played it too much and can speed run it. i think morrowinds took longer because i didn't know what to do and is diffrent from oblivion (which i played first).
if there is a civil war battle id love a dragon to swoop down at the climax and just start tearing everyone up:)

I know that altering your character's hair and perhaps tattoos can occur in game after character creation.

And if not, modders will take care of it. Yay, that's exactly what I am really anticipating, the Modding tools!
Don't get me wrong I like mods for my RTS games and the like but...
If something is wrong with a game, or some such, shouldn't the dev make it better? I mean it seems like a cop out.

better than yesterday's demo!
this one was in 2 parts and it lasted longer.
we got to see
- moonstones (the equivalent of birthsigns)
- horseback (and possibly mounted combat - kinda hard to tell if he was still on the horse when attacking in 1st person)
- Dovahkiin fighting a wolf and it looks like he kicks the wolf in the head
- shooting arrows at a dragon
- casting a new spell "Clairvoyance"
- perk tree and skills
- inventory UI in 3D
- Insanely cool map - looks like Civ5 map only a lot better
- Dragon Priest who summons some kind of Atronach
Here is part 1
