I gave her a full suit of elven light armour and she would only wear the helmet and cuirass, same with scale armour. I can't get her to wear boots or arm guards at all. Weapons work fine except for bows and her need to keep switching her higher level weapons.RageGT wrote...

Don't get me started on trying to arm her. I gave her an enchanted elven bow which she used twice and then switched back to her default hunting bow that doesn't appear in her inventory, elven bow still has over 3/4 of its charge left too. She seems to randomly switch between a two handed sword, mace/shield and mace/staff when she isn't using the bow. I can get her to wear helmets and chest pieces but not boots or arm guards. She is a riddle.
Although if I take all her other options away and say just leave the mace/shield combo then she will stick to those except when she randomly pulls out the inferior hunting bow for close range encounters.
Weird. She uses exactly what I gave her, always. Open her trade window and see if the items are marked with the equipped sign. Some stuff I had to wait until she was high level enough to use them. Now she uses only the Ebony armor set I enchanted and improved for her plus amulet and ring, Ebony enchanted 2-handed greatsword and 1-handed sword and shield + the elven enchanted bow. I have no idea how she chooses what to use but she only uses those items.

Edit: Also lydia really prefers heavy armor which might be why she doesn't like the elven stuff you are giving her.

yes, they each have their own preferences. Jenassa won't wear heavy armor, although she will use a heavy armor shield.

Yes, there's a discussion about it on the BS forums. There's a couple guys talking about porting the fnv4gb code to work with Skyrim.adneate wrote...
Did the new patch break the memory extender for anyone else? My game is back to crashing frequently and any attempt to make the program large address aware manually causes Steam to spit out Error 51 and refuse to start the game.

Hhmm I'll give that a try. I hadn't thought of it because she was mostly getting my used gear.Nashiktal wrote...
Wait lydia levels now? I could have sworn that companions still had that annoying no level thing bethesda does.

Forget the code, how do I get rid of the arrows in my back and a dead Lydia in front of my house...
I looted her body and sold it to the blacksmith, I feel so bad.....but she's dead...no harm...right?

If I could take back one or two perk points from speech and smithing I would. Also not going to go far into the college quests, saving those for an actual mage playthrough.

Yeah I read that, I reverted to the old version and disabled auto-patching. New Vegas eventually got both NVSE and the memory Extender to work but this is still really annoying, considering to this day we don't have to deal with this crap for Fallout 3. Frack DRM in all it's forms, the most useless concept anyone ever wasted their time and money trying to get to work.
I wouldn't be as pissed with this if the new patch made the game more stable but the two crashes I had within 10 minutes tells me that's not the case at all.

As for dead Lydia, if you killed her in front of your house her body just stays there I guess.

Well if you want lydia back and don't mind cheating you can use the "resurrect" command in the console code to get her back. The one to get rid of arrows was the sex change code I believe.

The arrows thing is a glitch. A work around is to get the werewolf curse from the Companions, then transform into said werewolf. Viola you have no arrows in your body. Wait for werewolf form to wear off and re-equip armor. Done and done at least until they get a patch out to fix the arrow in body problem.

Bodies will go away eventually but it takes quite some time.

I had a persistent arrow in my foot for quite a long time. Eventually it disappeared.

The dummies in my Riften House are alive! They left the enchanting lab and are now hanging from the Roof in other rooms of the cellar. I think they want to move to Kirkwall. =)

Wouldn't want to say much but someone suggested me to use Steam's screenshot feature or something like that. I don't have a Steam Account. I hate idiotic systems like that where stuff I don't want or need is forced upon me. And I find my way around them! =)
