was this the guy who was trying to bring a dead wolf back to life?
I wondered that myself. I found that guy near a shipwreck on the northern coast.

Probably you always get it, but I mean it was tough for me to figure out what to do because I'm playing an Ulfric supporter. Maybe others wouldn't have a problem with it. I had hoped there might be some political compromise with the Forsworn, so that it could be us and them vs. the Imperials. Madanach disabused me of that notion while simultaneously being sympathetic. I was a little crushed.naughty99 wrote...

Anyone else playing a Stormcloak character? The Forsworn Conspiracy was a hard quest. I had to think for a while what to do, and I'm still bothered by it. Madanach is a great character.
I'm probably going to side with the imperials, but I also got this quest.
pickpocketing has come in handy so far.

is there a limit to the amount of junk companions can carry?
Yes, there is. I know this, because I reached it last night with my pack mule...err...Lydia.
I'd love to tell you what it is, but I honestly don't know. I've looked around for a stat of some kind, but I haven't found it. Does anyone else know?

LOL can't say I blame him for giving in to the temptation. I used it myself in a tavern brawl before getting killed by all the guards.

Of course, he's also an arrogant jerk who's blind to the fact that he's a puppet on a string for the Thalmor, but that's beside the point.

The Forsworn are a dang blight on the countryside. Every time I go to that part of the Reach, those turds attack me, pretty much no matter where I go. Waaa, I just want to add your camp to my map!
@RageGT - that makes sense. Since Lydia wears heavy armor (and doesn't get the perks we do), it probably does go towards her carry limit.

Ulfric is a "normal human," too, but he studied the ancient ways of the Nords while the king was making speeches about the empire. The king had to know what he was getting into when he agreed to the duel. If Ulfric is an arrogant jerk, so was he. Mostly I really like this story line because it's true to a Germanic/ Norse culture. The legitimate leader is the strong one, not the one who happens to be warming a particular chair.virumor wrote...
Ulfric must die (preferably by means of a maxed out Fire Breath) for two reasons:

I didn't expect to join the Imperial Legion when I started the game, but visiting Solitude and doing quests there, made a good impression on me.

I could be wrong but aren't the Imperials descendants of Atmoran Nords mixing with native Nedic men?naughty99 wrote...

Errr, does anyone know how much finishers does the 2hander(Greatsword) have againts humans?
I mean.. so far I've been getting only one (the impaling), which seems to be a dang little number compared to sword and board(3+1) or just single.

I can definitely see it that way, but in terms of the Thalmor, I can also see how an independent Skyrim might not be that bad from the POV of Nords in Skyrim.
Maybe my knowledge of the lore here is wrong, but didn't Hammerfell basically keep fighting on their own against the Thalmor after the Empire signed their treaty with the Thalmor? And Hammerfell beat the Thalmor? And besides, the Thalmor are only located to the south of Cyrodil, so they don't have any border with Skyrim to invade from anyway, unless they went to the sea in the north?

Get the Decapitation perk and chop off some heads! All the time! It's amazing!

You need to read the ingame book The Great War, Its in the library of the Whiterun Jarl. After the oblivion crisis the Thalmor rose to power amongst the Altmer.Shinian2 wrote...
Has anyone figured out where the Thalmer Dominion elves come from? I assume it isnt the elves on Sommerset Isle? And don't say 'Thalmer'.. lol. Is it stated that they come from another continent?
