Errr, does anyone know how much finishers does the 2hander(Greatsword) have againts humans?

I mean.. so far I've been getting only one (the impaling), which seems to be a dang little number compared to sword and board(3+1) or just single.

I used a 2H axe and got a downward chop, and one where she kicked the opponent as he was down- lol

I've also heard of decaps but never saw one myself, before switching to war axe.

I can definitely see it that way, but in terms of the Thalmor, I can also see how an independent Skyrim might not be that bad from the POV of Nords in Skyrim.

Maybe my knowledge of the lore here is wrong, but didn't Hammerfell basically keep fighting on their own against the Thalmor after the Empire signed their treaty with the Thalmor? And Hammerfell beat the Thalmor? And besides, the Thalmor are only located to the south of Cyrodil, so they don't have any border with Skyrim to invade from anyway, unless they went to the sea in the north?

Yeah but what happens if/when the thalmor conquer Cyrodil?

The Hammerfell-Dominion conflict is still ongoing. If Skyrim were to be weakened by Civil War, then the Thalmor would take it with ease. Ever seen a battle of Stormcloak Soldiers against Thalmor Justiciars? Yeah... Even more so when they conquer a completely crippled Cyrodil.

I've had a few decapitations with one handed swords. The look on your enemies face right before you chop off the head is pretty funny.

But Ulfric's the one instigating the civil war.

Just realized, Lydia is not who I thought she was. What'a the name of the Housecarl you get at Whiterun?

That is Lydia!

Then how come I see her in Steel Plate? And I don't remember her face looking like that.

Can't find it in One-handed. Which constellation again?

Sneak.  It's a stealth mode.  Unless they are talking about something else.

But I have never seen a decapitation myself.  I've seen the dual wield stab from the back.  Not sure I've seen a two-handed one, all the finishers I remember seeing were of Dual Wield.

Decaps are in the single handed skills tree definately, I'm using two swords, you knock the opponent to their knees then cross your swords infront of their neck and slice their head clean off, my favorite so far. But, I think there is a decapitation for two handers, you might need a perk from that skill tree though, check it should say so in the description.

So far the funniest line I've seen is: "Remember, I'll give you the best deals or die trying." ;)

Skyrim is basically the Empire's last reach. Once they lose that, none of the lands will be unified. The Thalmor will easily over conquer individual provencies, and I don't see any of them uniting anytime soon.

This is what gives me hope that the next game in the series will be in Summerset Isle!\\.

I have been focusing on dual wield daggers with some archery.

For the longest time the only finishing move animations I ever saw were performed by enemies killing me. I think I only performed  one from levels 1 - 25 or so, and it was probably on a wolf or some weak animal.

Then I began seeing a few throat slicing animations occasionally when backstabbing.

Recently I got the Savage Strike perk from one-handed and saw my first decapitation. I used poison on both left and right hand daggers and it was quite brutal, showing both daggers used to slice through his neck like a pair of scissors.

A few days later, the man's head is still sitting there halfway across the room.

If they conquer Cyrodil they can use the resources of it against Skyrim. At the moment the Empire are simply allowing Justicars access.

But they will also be weakened in the fight and have to hold a vast territory far from their home base- and then they'll have to conquer a country as forbidding as Skyrim.  Stalingrad, anyone?

Right now it looks like the Empire and the Thalmor are pretty much joined at the hip and that fighting one is fighting the other.

The Thalmor are far from being the Empire. Besides we don't know there resources but they are definitley vast. They are mer with little to no respect for any other race. If anything the Empire will be the Thalmor. You have to remember the Empire is weak and puny. Against the hip of the Thalmor it's nothing but  a fanny pack.

The Forsworn are a dang blight on the countryside. Every time I go to that part of the Reach, those turds attack me, pretty much no matter where I go. Waaa, I just want to add your camp to my map!

@RageGT - that makes sense. Since Lydia wears heavy armor (and doesn't get the perks we do), it probably does go towards her carry limit.

I wish Lydia would open up those spell tomes I gave her, and learn how to heal herself!

How about giving her a weapon that steals health. ;)

Wow.

Did anyone else realize you could use the raise zombie spell on random skeletons? As long as the skeleton is complete, it can fight for you. Tougher than the one you usually fight too.

That's my point.  If the Empire is just going to be their stooges anyway, you are already in a war with them unless you're willing to surrender.  Capitulating to the Empire is capitulating to the Thalmor, too.

I understand there is a high level spell that makes animated dead bodies your permanent traveling companion. You can access their inventory, etc., it seems.

Ignoring the main quest and simply playing the game as a Thalmor Infiltrator / Assassin is enjoyable, setting up Skyrim to be independent and weak with a lot of incharacter justifications. Its a shame you can't really be Thalmor.

I'm willing to bet that one of the big DLCs will be Thalmor related. :wizard:

There is way too much potential with the Thalmor to not make them as some sort of DLC questline.

Do the Thalmor react differently to you if you're playing as a High Elf?

The Imperials didn't and don't opress the Nords, they were even supported, and they are still supported by many loyalists.  That's when they have forbidden the cult of Talos, that Ulfric began the war, disgusted.

The Imperials and Nords were allies since they rebelled together against the ancien elf empire. They fought together during the great war, and yet they were almost defeated. So I don't see skyrim alone, doing better than that.

Together, they abolished slavery of mens in the past. The first Empire is born through the union of the Nords and Imperials.

A nord has been emperor of Tamriel, and any Nord can access any position within the Empire, if he is competent.
That's the difference.

The stormcloak also appear as racists and nationalists as Talmors. Not the Empire, who is far more tolerant.

Yup that is the raise thrall spell. You have to meet certain conditions for it to be offered for you at the college though. I am trying to reach those conditions without becoming an actuall full fledge mage. I scoff at most magic even as it kicks my ass.

Ah, good, seems like there is less finishers for each "type" of 2 handed weapons when compared to one handed stuff.

Isn't that the butch woman with a two hander in the inn? That's the only one I remember wearing a plate.

Dragon are coming two at a time now lol.

Image IPB

I have 31 unused Dragon Souls.  Between those, the shouts I've unlocked and 2 Dragons that glitched and didn't give me a soul, I've probably fought over 50 Dragons.

I'd rather there were fewer dragons that were stronger.  Limit the random encounter dragons, and have Dragons that you're sent to track down.  It's getting hard to even travel with all the Dragons around.

But riding the Dragons never gets old
