I think its just that the Ebony armor looks nice. The daedric and dragon armors look a bit too over the top with the giant pauldrons and spikes

Oh, she not only hangs around your house, she spends the entire day sitting in a chair in your bedroom

There's a solution to that, of course, which doesn't involve unfortunate 'accidents":  Move.  Get a house somewhere else.  Lydia won't guard your Rifton home, for example  (you'll get another housecarl in Rifton who will though  lol)

I'm about to buy that giant House in Solitude. It's gorgeous. Of course, I also plan on siding with the Stormcloaks. Hope those Solitude folks don't mind lol

Yeah I haven't seen anyone "creaming" over any armor?  Some have commented that it's okay in terms of looks.  I stress okay.  I'm not thrilled with its appearance, either.  Sort of sad.  I was hoping for a high end, classic looking Nord set.  Apparently game artists think people don't like the appearance of real armor.

They weren't so bad, but I'm level 30. I attribute our lack of dying to good spells and enchantments. If I hadn't cast Heal Other on Lydia, she'd have probably met the same end yours did.

I love collecting their Souls for my enchanting! They're one of the fews I found with Grand Soul. Oh wait.. I think theirs are Greater. The  Dragon Priests I'm fighting are the ones with Grand Sould... Deathlords are their minions. =)

Nice. I bet the view from the "porch" is nice, once the boxes are out of there. (I bought the Solitude house a couple of nights ago, for giggles, but re-loaded so I could go down a different path, and save my money). I did see that you could upgrade the porch, though. For $500, I think?

The only problem I have with the looks of ebony armor is that it's a little to the bulky/box-y side. it almost looks like full plate armor from Neverwinter Nights. Daedric, on the other hand is elegant, slim, and makes your warrior look like a mean S.O.B.

That stone city...,  Markrath?  You can buy a house there.  IMO Windhelm is an ugly, snow-swept  slum-like city.  just walking around there depresses me.  So I'm gonna pass on buying a house there.

I haven't fought a Dragon Priest yet, but now I'm scared.  

Edit: Oh wait, I lied. I fought Morokei the other night. Duh. I guess I didn't realize he was a "Dragon Priest". Oops!

I wish it was easier to tell what kind of souls you are trapping. Lydia is my Soul Trapping machine, so I never know what we're getting until I look in her inventory...and considering I give her a lot of empty gems at a time, I haven't slowed down enough to look. If I had one complaint about Skyrim, that might be it. A little "Common Soul caught" message, or something to that effect, would be handy. Or does it already do that, and I have it turned off? lol

Ahh yes, Markarth. I haven't been back there much since my jail break. I think one of the 6 Bounty notes in my inventory is from that Jarl.

They're just great! As for better enchantments, it depends on the class you're playing. I don't use Shield or 1-handed or Bows so they would be useless to me. Also, Waterbrathing on the helmet is a waste. It's a rare necessity and a simple Amulet would do it. Just swap amulets when you need to dive deep.

Now, why haven't you renamed your items? They deserve that personal touch! When all 3 parts of enchanting are selected (item, enchantment and soul) press F to rename and Enter after you're done. Then you finish with R and Y!

All my items are Rage's Master (stuff) but I'll have to redo them all when I'm at 100 enchanting. heh (it also helps finding them fast when I scroll my huuuuge favorite list)

Hey, Ebony is at least 90% as good as Daedric. It is good enough to let us need no other type. Stuff hits me and don;'t do any damage at all. Well, the ordinary enemies we fight at high level. Weird how the scaling works in Skyrim. Some Ice troll can hit me forever for zero dmg, some other Ice troll would do some actual damage if I'd let it. =)

I would only use Daedric if I'm rp'ing some evil char or an Orc, or both. (which is probably my next char)

Every armor set is great, Daedric as always is the tops but I'm for the sake of realism sticking to steel plate with ancient nord helm. It feels odd when I walk across the town and no one is sticking out.

I'm still waiting for a hide helmet/jewelry mod. I hate the that beth still have not fixed the clipping of necklaces; they ALL do that. It's very, very annoying.

I think it is a village, but it is not on my map and it seems I have quest there and the compass is not pointing to anything.
