Bleh- I think I've run into my first messed up quest. In Windhelm, I don't think the murder quest is triggering. There are people standing around a dead body in the cemetery but I can't do anything and I've spoken to just about everyone in the city and nothing is triggering it.

Maybe once I join the Stormcloaks and do some of those quests it'll clear up?

And damn, Markarth is looking pretty empty after a certain quest..."spiced" beef

I've been hearing about "Stormcloaks" everywhere. What is it?

The backdrop of the game is that there's a civil war going on between two factions: The Empire and the Stormcloaks. The Stormcloaks are led by a rebel Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak. Or the High King Ulfric Stormcloak, depending on where your loyalties lie. But you'll learn about all this in the first couple of minutes of the game.

Yup the whole excecution bit at the very beginning of the game where your hands are tied and your about to lose your head when the dragon shows up was about the Stormcloak rebellion the guy with the cloth around his mouth is in fact Ulfric himself.
Hell the reason your there is a case of wrong place at the wrong time and the Empire catches you with these people thinking your one of the Sormcloaks.

Check this carefully. SPOILER. But it teaches us how to deal with the bug. I had to use console commands to get rid of one perma-bugged quest item and add the real one it should have been transformed into, after concluding the quest.

Hey, has anyone managed to find  all 24 Stones of Barenziah? I've cleared 57 dungeons, discovered more than 100 locations, and I've managed to find...5 of them.

They're mostly inside quarters and bedrooms. A thief's quest, for Vrex! I found 7 and all of them inside houses, castles, stores which are also merchants' homes.

No spoilers: I just have to ask, am I the only one who’s disappointed with the main quest’s ending? Or by the fact that there, in a way, was no ending?Image IPB

I don't think I'll ever finish the main quest because I want nothing to do with that Delphine ****.

One of the Dragons is Alduin and he'll never commit to an attack and just hover over you before taking off, so usually if you see a Dragon overhead but it won't show up as an enemy on your compass it's Alduin.

I don't think so. Numerous times I had a random Dragon hovering around me, while he was supposed to attack.
(had to reload my save or use console to finally make him hostile)

Ulfric wants to restore the traditions and honor in Skyrim, right ? How doing such thing if he does not respect them himself ?

Bronn at least, has never claimed to be defending the honor, he despises it. While Ulfric cheers traditions and honor, and uses it as an argument against those who support the Imperials.

All those who speak of Ulfric, even if they do not like him, say he is someone who respects the tradition. I can not explain why he did that. Maybe I will know in the end.

Not that I judge him, simply, it's surprising when we look at his profile.

What traditions did Ulfric not respect?  He challenged Torygg fair and square.  Now that he's in a war, he's not going to submit to a moot from jarls that are trying to kill him.

Magic is forbidden in the Nord duels. And I recall you that many Nords first think that Ulfric " murdered " the High King. They know may be recognizing a real duel, born from their traditions, since they are themselves nords.

Some of them attended the duel and denounced the use of the Thu'um.

If the High King was weak, why did not he use his sword to finish Torygg ? It seems ridiculous and disproportionate. That doesn't make sense.

Or he wanted to prove to all, his power, which would be absolutely ridiculous, since with the Nords, the best way to earn their respect and loyalty, is to defeat fairly its opponent in a duel.

They will not attack in the open sometimes. They're just flying about and clearing their throats. If you go near their lair then they attack.

I like how I used the cart at Solitude with 40 coins and reached the ancient City of Markarth, when I hadn't even known that place :)

OMG! Finally, at level 47 I finished a quest I started at level 7!!! Tchau, Barbas!!! (And collected some 3-4 quest items on the way so I'll be completing a few miscellaneous too! =)

And Speech is a wonderful skill. I have to make it 100 asap! Only 3 levels to 50 and my Speech is still at 80. I haven't trained it once. After 50 it will become hard to train since it will become hard to level up so we gain 5 more training opportunities. Who do I talk to to train Speech? Is there a quest at the Bard's College before he can train me? Else I'll keep forging items and trading them because that raises speech too but it will be a pain.

As reference, I used to pay 400 septims for an Ebony Ingot. Now, if the trader is a female (like the smith's daughter in Whiterun), I pay only 160 septims. A bit more if they are male traders. And stores now buy anything I have and with a hell of a better price too. (Clavicus Vile's Mask with +20% and my Trader's amulet with +25% help a lot with that...hehe) I'm gonna be filthy rich!

LOL I was in the far south area southwest of Riften heading towards Aiverstead to turn in some quests just finished a couple of sizable dungeons when I come to a fork in the road. I come upon a small cave full of vampires and clear them out and continue on my way. I obviously take the wrong turn because I'm going along this valley and next thing I know I'm right outside Riverwood LMAO. I'm usually good with sense of direction but this is crazy went totally off my intended course and end up there!

I now officially hate the Forsworn. They are the toughest enemies I keep coming across and they've killed me more than once. Was especially annoying in that mission I had to do for the Jarl of Markath to recover his father's shield.

Going around to each town to become a Thane so I can get all the houses :D

I was also very disappointed, it actually looked like they made a much more epic civil war than a nordic god of destruction.

Depends. From what I've heard the Stormcloaks are extremely racist, so take that for what you will.

There might be more than one.  But the one I know of is in solitude.  at the Bard's college.

Of course there's more than one...I don't know where they are, but there's gotta be more than one.

Speecher trainers :)

Revyn Sadri teaches Speech at the Common-level in his store Sadri's Used Wears on the eastern side of Windhelm.
Dro'marash teaches Speech and is found in the Khajiit Caravans.
Ogmund teaches Speech at the Expert-level in Markarth.
Geraud Gemane teaches Speech at the Master-level in the Bards College in Solitude.
Azzadal of the Bards College increases the Speech skill by one after being spoken to twice.

And the following Miscellaneous Quest increases the Speech Skill

Steal the Staff of Arcane Authority for Malur Seloth in Winterhold
Collect a Mammoth Tusk for Ysolda from Whiterun

And get the thief guardian stone for quick skill ups.
