Meh, Lydia seems friendly and cute, but she doesn't appeal me at all... You do not even know her, and yet she promises to you, that's all. Too quick for me, to be chosen. We don't even know what is her personality. Or maybe there is a special dialogue I missed ?
And she's indeed in your house 24/7 as your thane.
Not impressive in my eyes, for a romance. ^^
Actually, I don't regret her, Kill her, if you can't marry her and she bothers you as a thane.
LOL. I was considering the possibility of her having an "accident" next time well battle a blood dragon, but that would just feel so wrong. I suppose I'll just let her watch over my home in Whiterun and take whoever my future bride will be to another city - Windhelm, perhaps?
I just like Lydia - she's a skilled warrior, a faithful companion, and quite good-looking by Skyrim standards. Aela is another one I'm highly interested in, though it would feel odd to take her out of Whiterun - perhaps I'll just keep her at Jorrvaskr instead of moving her into one of my houses.
I'm actually a bit disappointed with the marriage candidate list - there are a few women that I think should've been available, but sadly aren't. Saadia, the Redguard woman working at the inn in Whiterun, would've been nice.
I also would've found it darkly humorous for Eola to be a marriage option - at least you'd know what kind of homemade meal she'd be serving the Dragonborn on a daily basis. "The bloodiest meat in the Reach."

Ugh. I went forward with that quest to just about the last possible minute before my Nord realized how screwed up it all was and crashed their little dinner party with extreme prejudice^_^

I did the exact same thing. I'd already had it in for her and her friends, but it wasn't until I saw all of the people sitting around a dinner table with bloody bones and bits of human flesh strewn about, and talking about the priest as if he were nothing but a Thanksgiving turkey... that I decided to go werewolf and viciously maul them all to death.
I then proceeded to feast upon the cannibals' flesh instead - the irony was almost tangible.

The same as you, the end of my life when I saw the marriage candidate list too.. The nord legat Rikke ( Tullius's assistant ) , appealed me too, thanks to her personality, ( the dark elf too in whiterun, Baalgruf's assistant, Irinieth, or something like that ) neither was allowed. :'(
Otherwise, Ysolda doesn't stop hitting on my Nord, no thanks. <_<

Anyway, there are a quite a few good-looking women who aren't available for marriage. There's a Nord girl named Hroki wandering around the Markarth marketplace, who is probably the best-looking female NPC in the game. There's also that one Grey-Mane girl in Whiterun who's quite pretty.
Anyway, whoever I marry needs to be a strong, preferably Nord woman - the heir of the Dragonborn must come from a strong lineage.

The sentences of each and their behavior are very important to detect the truth in this quest. The redguards look really angry in whiterun, they did not hesitate to openly show their hatred, in whiterun, to threath.. For me it is a sign of authenticity. The betrayal often causes this kind of reactions.greengoron89 wrote...
I hated the quest involved with Saadia, because it's never 100% clear what the truth of the matter is - it's basically one side's word against the other, and you're caught in the middle. I'm still deliberating on whose side I should take.
Those who hunt Saadia, want to talk to you first, and refuse to fight against you. Diplomacy before the fight that comes if there is no way out. The leader will capture her and will bring back her to his country, if you help him. He won't kill her himself. And besides, he is honest with you when you ask him what will happen to Saadia.
He answers she will certainly be executed. This honesty convinced me that I am not mistaken.
On the other hand, Saadia is secret, tip a knife on you, asking you to kill those people who seek it. I did also find her strange when I lied to her.
LOL !Anyway, whoever I marry needs to be a strong, preferably Nord woman - the heir of the Dragonborn must come from a strong lineage.

She claims she fled from assassins because, uh... what was it, the other nobles don't like her much?
Between the two, I know which story I find the more compelling.

Of course, it probably didn't help that I tend to kill Thalmor Justiciars whenever I encounter them out on the roads. Perhaps now they just attack me on sight rather than just stopping to tell me I'm interfering with "official Thalmor business."

Besides, its not like the mercs were really trustworthy. The one in the cell seemed to confirmed the lethal ways of the leader, and of course they wanted to play nice with you after you cut through a cave full of bandits to get to them. That, and only you knew where their quarry was, and killing you was no way to get that info.
But shame she wasn't romancable afterwards. Story of my life in this game. Any memorable attractive women I'd be interested in so far aren't options. Sapphire the rogue and Lisette the bard, for example.

Smithing is at 100 through making Iron Daggers. Wish I had known about the bonus for sleeping in a paid for bed, +10% on top of the Warrior Stone +20% would have helped a lot. Ah well, I got my gold back up to where I want it to be
I made my Ebony equipment, found the boots for free, and mined more than enough Ebony Ore for Ingots, got 7 ingots left.
Heavy Armor = 70 for Weightless Armor is the shiznit. ^^
Tomorrow: Daedric Hearts, I got a lead on how to obtain some, and then I'll need more Ebony Ingots, but that shouldn't be a problem. I'll just use the wait command until a whole month has passed for it to replenish. My other goal is to get that item needed for marriage.
Oh yeah, I will also finally unlock the spawning of dragons. I wanted to get all the gear I wanted before I faced them.

You better prepare yourself for some pain, then - the higher level dragons are pretty brutal, and the first dragon you fight seems to change depending on your character's level.
Dragons in this game are no joke, man. Normal dragons are push overs, but they get much harder from blood dragons up.
EDIT: I will say though that I'm playing on a harder difficulty than most probably are, so that may factor into my experiences with the dragons.

Between the two, I know which story I find the more compelling.
For my character, it boiled down to what her contract with Saadia was. And that was to get rid of the mercenaries.
Which version of the story was true (if any) was largely irrelevant. What was relevant was to stay true to her word, as matter of personal honour, rather than betray the client; especially if it'd be a betrayal over nothing but flimsy guesswork and the possibility of being lied to.

For some reason Jedi Arian's pictures don't load.
The wait for this game inspired me to go back and play oblivion. I got bored and then thought about playing Morrowind. I haven't played my Morrowind save in years, I didn't know what I was doing, where I was. Though It's still nice to compare the game graphics with each other.
... I don't many other questions, I've ask alot. Though I still have one more!
What skills do you gusy reccomend upgrade at the start of the game?

LOL at the damsel in distress- one of the things he says is "don't be taken in by a pretty face." It did cross my mind that you are more inclined to take pity on a woman, but if what she did was true, it was monstrous.
I'm overall disappointed in the look of the armors, especially on females. I *hate* brassiere plate and the Stormcloak Officer armor is...
