That's pretty much what I did. Orcish Armor and Elven Sword ASAP.  Then game became easier even on Master diff. And when I level'd up, it became even easier with each level and new 2 handed/heavy armor perks. Game upgraded a few enemies liek Draugr became Deathlords and later, Dragon Priests with their minions but it was just a great character development experience. I really felt the improvement with each level/perks.

elven huh? i have a ebony war axe  the skeleton of Olaf One Eye dropped it if i recall corectly. (if only i could remember what tomb that was...)

Thanks. He changed a bit from the start when he was bald and preseted! hehe (Be careful when using showracemenu on the console. A misclick on Race and all skills are messed up, although we keep the perks. Good to have a backup save just in case=)

i cant do a comparison since i've never found an elven war axe. but does anybody know wich is better: a dwarven war axe or an elven war axe?

Elven Greatsword has a good one and I used it until I could craft my Ebony. It is better than Orcish. Later on, after I reached 100 Enchanting and placed a Soul Trap + Fire dmg on the Ebony, I started using a spare Glass Greatword and now an Enchanted Nord Hero Greatsword as to save the Ebony one and do not fill all my Grand Soul Gems with lesser souls. I use the Ebony only for Bosses and Dragons. The Nord Hero has a great look too. And a good damage (330 x 380 of my Ebony)

Elven is better. Then Glass, Ebony and Daedric, in that order. (I couldn't craft Glass but I can improve them =)

I have killed 3 guards in that quest and I haven't been spotted, so it is doable. Needless to say Markath isn't happy with me after that.

I'm hoping the modders save the day.  Or I'll just stay in my steel armor, which I'm spiffing up as I get smithing and enchanting.  Steel ingots are getting hard to find.  Guess I'm going to have to go mining.

If he's working for the Thalmor, I'd kill him myself.  But I don't believe it.  I know we don't get to talk to the emperor himself, but at least the Stormcloak leadership understands what they are up against.  Their goal is to kick the Thalmors out so they can do what everyone says the empire wants to do "someday, eventually," in between running after the Thalmors- regroup to fight the Dominion.

Yeah but after speaking with the Jarl, he apologises for the set up from that bad guy. Still doesn't clear the bounty though. I have 2,000 bounty there  but they simply ignore it.

We can't improve them "twice as much" but we can still improve them, if we have the right material. =)

So after searching high and low I finally find the girl I've been looking for. A cute breton follower with a great voice, great dialogue and dresses sexy. She's also incredibly versitile! Great with bow, sword and spell, and summons pets too.

Only one small problem stands in the way of our love. She's a cannibal. I hate you Skyrim. *sigh*

actually....you DO get to talk face to face with the emperor.  If you follow the Dark Brotherhood questline to the end...

****SPOILER ALERT!!!!********





The very last quest in the Dark Brotherhood questline you literally assassinate the emperor.  As you walk into the cabin of the ship where he is, you actually get to talk to him for a good minute, minute and a half before you kill him.  In fact, Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood are the best questlines in terms of story IMO.  Mage guild story is kinda lame but Im doing it on my "Nightblade" right now just to get the achievements involved.

Now this is going to be fun. I left all my Heavy gear and weapons home, dressed up in my DB set, dual daggers and let's see how much beating will I take from wolves and cats, at level 51! Low level skills with no perks... for balance! hehe

This is actually pretty good- it's a steel plate cuirass with the stormcloak helmet and Ancient Nord boots.  BUT, no blacksmith in his right mind would make molded breasts.  All it needs is a pair of metal nipples to look completely ridiculous.



For comparison, here's the regular steel breastplate.  This looks like it could have actually been smithed by someone with brains.

By comparison the female armour in Skyrim is ten times better than some others from earlier fantasy RPGs.

But if you're unhappy with it, that's what mods are for.

The Thalmor still consider him a potential asset though, just one that's gone dormant and they believe he'll accept something from them given the right conditions. His rebellion is also useful to the Thalmor in weakening the Empire though they seemingly don't want either side to win, a quick Imperial victory is a disaster to them and a total Stromcloak victory is also seen as undesirable.
