What race did everyone decide to play with?

I have 3 characters going simultaneously.

Male axe+shield orc clad in heavy armour.
Male stealth focused Khajiit.
Male Imperial Necromancer.

I have no idea which one I'd call my 'main'. I did base the imperial off myself (hence why his battle tactics are summon something then hide) but I've invested more time in my other two characters, plus I prefer roleplaying orcs and khajits. I'll probably say the orc for the simple fact that a khajiit character doesn't really fit the setting.

Crazy! I have 185 hours with my first and only char and I'm so far from ever finishing the game... Three at once? You deserve the quote of a mad woman:

Wabbajack, Wabbajack, Wabbajack, Wabbajack!

Looks like Redguards aren't much popular here.

Anyway I am playing Redguard female warrior. Mace & Shield, heavy armor.

I also do 3 at once, though I do have one obvious main.

MAIN:

1. Jack, Imperial, Male, Thief, weapons: bow/dual-daggers, joined: Thieves Guild, Bards College, Winterhold College, Dark Brotherhood

Others:

2. Geralt, Breton, Male, Spellsword/Battlemage, weapons: spells/sword&shield, joined: Winterhold College, The Companions

3. Lucien, Imperial, Male, Mage, weapons: spells/sword, joined: Winterhold College

Unfortunately, TES games saves have always been a mess, specially if we play more than one char. I organize it manually, creating char folders as subdirectories of the Save folder and copy/paste the saves for a specific char there. Is there a mod or something to make it easier?

Dunno, I play it on the Xbox360.

I simply delete old saves that I don't need anymore and keep stuff organized that way. Right now I only have 5 saves files in total from 3 different characters.

So, a friend of mine is gracious enough to loan his copy of the game to me tomorrow, and I just wanted to ask quickly. How is leveling restoration handled in Skyrim?

I think I speak to all of us that it was a major pain to level in Oblivion, it took ages to get just one point increase in it. I want to make sure if it'll be worth making a character that specializes in that school of magic.

At least in the early stages you get points in restoration en masse. I just used the healing spell a couple of times and every time I channeled it I got a point. Don't know how fast it works on high levels.

Restoration is much faster now. You can reliably level it up by using traps.

I go to the place where you needed the golden claw and use the traps there. Also, go to the three guardian stones between Riverwood and Helgen and activate the Mage stone and also, if you rest at an inn, you get an 8 hours 10% bonus to leveling all skills.

All races start with the basic healing spell as far as I know. I'm at level 51 right now with 0 grinding, it's all due to how much I've had to heal in battle. To put it another way: leveling Restoration doesn't take much longer than the weapon skills.

Some days I feel like playing a mage, some days a warrior. It's just good to have a playthrough already started instead of having to start again.

I should be wearing that amulet, though, since I'm playing my girl as a born-again Talos worshipper.  It's a challenge to leave something at altars instead of robbing the offering plate.  lol

Speaking of gods, I do love the plethora of deities the ES setting provides for the simple fact of the countless roleplaying opportunities it adds.
One issue I always had with the DA setting was how I was limited to being an Andrastian, a dalish-gods-follower, or a dwarven-ancestors-follower. With the latter two being restricted to dwarves and elves.

Atm I've got an orc who is a devout adherent to Malacath and a khajiit who follows the Khajiit pantheon.

I think it's more because of their background. Not many people care about Hammerfell and most Redguard seem to be mercenary. It's actually make sense for them to be in Skyrim. I think they look great but .. Some of the default preset are butt-ugly ... The high elves default preset is so ugly I had a eyes infractus upon seing it.

The Bretons are generic looking imo  .. But the thing I realized after messing with the slider .. Is that most human  race look really similiar and ... It's really hard to make them look like I wish . Because they all look the same. Either really ugly or neanderthal.. The Nord woman are the most beautiful though .

What I really dislike is  again they did not create a body slider for weight and height. Every character in the game end up looking buff or atheletic and the same height .. Even some old lady  looked buff. How many guy can be over 6 Ft with huge muscle?

Skyrim ain't perfect but it's hard to complain with so many goodies. But little thing like Water and the snow could have been so much improved. ..

Thing I wish with a mod

- Volumetric snow  with footprint and physic. It's does not like like there's snow but just white.

- Same with Water.. Better rendering of underwater visual. Better swimming animation and character able to become wet(same with rain) .. Actually I don't remember seing rain ..

- Morning Fog(Is there any?)

- Animation for climbing

- Add another place on horse.

- Less wolve spamming . More type of Animals and beast.

- Caravan? I was dissapointed I could not take a Caraven Trip like a Taxi trip in GTA4.

- Carpenter? Building your house ?

- More people in town . More vegetation . Better texture for PC . DX11 support (Seriously this game run on 2 gig) . Better UI (Why I can't see what I wear in a frigging menu like diablo?)

I hope some mod do some of that. I am not blaming betheda . Because they have a deadline but I won't stop saying it.

Oh and faster animation to get off my horse .. It's takeeeeeeeeeeeeee FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVEEEEEEEER .. I`m dovakhin by sake god.

Bandit -- AHHH DIEE

-Dovahkin - Give me a sec the tim...

Bandit - DIE DFIE DIE

Dovahkin - Please be patient I`m almost there.

Bandit - Take that and that and that!!

Dovahkin - Almost there..

I have absolutely no idea how to complete the Forsworn quest. Anyone have any tips? Should I set Madanach free or let the Silver-Bloods keep the city? Seems like I'm forced to choose between a whole family of corrupt moneygrubbing ****s and a group of xenophobic terrorists. Am I missing something?

No, that's the short of it. In my opinion, freeing Madanach solves nothing and only adds to the instability of Skyrim, so I'm not sure why anyone would want to do that.

Ugh. I hate it when a game's definition of  "complex moral decision" is forcing you to choose between two equally gigantic douches. It always ends with me aching for the option to kill everyone and rule alone.

No, unfortunately not.  I stumbled across a cottage they use as a base and their leader doesn't even offer simple quests.

I'm not sure why anyone would side with the Forsworn - they're nothing but a band of hagraven-worshipping savages whose sole goal is to "paint the walls in Nord blood" (Madanach's words).

You should also take a look at some of their camps and hideouts - goat's heads stuck on pikes, mutilated skeever corpses, bloody bones and skulls (presumably from cannibalism) - they're a lovely little bunch of primitive brutes.

Even the Bretons of High Rock can't stand them (just ask Jarl Igmund's chef). Forget Madanach's "plight" - he's no better than the Silver-Bloods he hates so intently, and is in fact worse. Kill him.

Question.

Is there any reason to kill only dragon that is not only attacking me, but also aiding me to get some order that got destroyed by elves and only has 2 people left( one of them is 70)?

No there is none. To me at least their logic is stupid.

Oh and Umbra isn't in this game.

Pretty much what I though.

Also, who's Umbra?

Some NPC with a cool background story in Oblivion who had the best 1-handed sword of that game and the sword was named Umbra too. She had to be killed in TES4 if you wanted the sword so there is no way she should have been in TES5. But her sword might!

Well, escaping that prison was a cool way to erradicate that Silver Blood bastard and his corrupted guards from Markath. And I am confident that I'll be able to retribute Madach's courtesy of forcing me to kill someone and helping him escape in the future. Although I have found his refuge and he wasn't hostile. I didn't want to attack then but eventually I will, whether by quest demand or for my personal revenge!

And Morrowind, as well - it's become somewhat of a "tradition" for TES titles, and it seems unbecoming for it not to be in Skyrim.

Also, the wielder is named after the blade, not the other way around - take a look at this if you want more background info on the sword itself.
