Back on topic I'm a little bummed they didn't show any stealth gameplay I almost always start out with a stealth character in Bathesda's games and I would love to see it in action.

They showed a little of stealth in the G4 demonstration...in the dungeon they showcased in the beginning the character was sneakimg in third person, then sniped away with a crossbow. It was just a taste, but sneak is back and really important. And crossbow/bow combat is a lot better...it in general takes longer to shoot but is much more powerful.
Also shown was sneaking up behind someone and using a finishing move stab to the throat. That's pretty friggin awesome!!! The kill is shown from the perspective like in Fallout series, just much better looking.

I wonder what Daedric armor will look like this time?
Hmm, are we even sure they'll be in it?

Me too! And what new armor they have we've never week before. The even stuff looks similar in design, could be minor variations as well for Daedric.
One of my favorite "costumes" in Oblivion was a personally enchanted Mythic Dawn robe and the Daedric helmet, along with white mages shoes. If you never combined the mythic dawn robe with the Daedric helmet, do so!!!! It's disgustingly wicked.

It'll be in it, like the daedra.
What's more important is if it's going to be really rare.

I just saw a 14 m clip from E3, and the detailing looks wonderful. While it may be too complex for myself, Pause and the 3rd Person camera toggle may go a long way in making the game easier.

As for camera toggle, you can switch between first and third person on the fly. You can also adjust how close/far the camera is in third person. But again, unlike Bioware games, you can't detach it from the player. You can adjust the angle using the middle mouse button, but you can't really play it like that because it won't stick. You've gotta hold it, so it's mainly used for screenshot taking and stuff. I think there's probably mods which allow it, but it won't work like that out of the box.

Quick question: Does the game have Pause functionality?

If you are concerned with the complexity of actual gameplay/combat, there are several things you can do that might help.
There is pausing to switchout/loadout weapons, but if it anything like The Elder Scrolls IV, then you can use the enormous array of spells (written spells), potions or poisons (many that can be created by you from looting natural ingredients or creature resources and performing alchemy in a very strong system) to be very methodical and tactical in your combat approach. This can be done through going to inventory or hotkeying.
You could also use a combat style that traditionally fits into the Thief or Assassin class. Using bows, crossbows, daggers, sneak posturing, invisibility and chemeleon potions/rings/personally enchanted wearable trinkets or clothing/armor can slow combat down and give it very much a tactical feel, but you will need to crave to play that style of play.
If you are worried about the scope and size of the game, don't be. Trust me, even for TES veterans (I'm not sure of your familiarity with the series), starting off and having things just blast wide open....having the freedom to go anywhere and do anything you want in a massive world with hundreds of absolutely massive dungeons, dozens upon dozens of side quests, a meaty main quest, seperate guilds and factions and seperate questlines for each one, looting raids in ruins and dungeons and traversing the vast landscape can be overwhelming. Take it all in and savor it, enjoy it and don't rush. The best method is to unlock quests so they go into a questlog and you can do it whenever, mixing in main plot every now and again.
Of course, if you decide to play this, you will have a learning curve but eventually appreciate the depth of the rpg elements and will adopt your own unique play style with likes and preferences on how to live and progress your character in the game world.

From what I'm reading they hate the map marker (in the video look up at the top what looks like it MIGHT be a map marker)
I kind of agree witht he complaints there Todd has been gushing about visual aids in the game like streams helping youf ind your way out of a dungeon and the clairvoyance spell leading your path seems redundant to have those and having a map marker....
Hopefully it will be an option or at the very least just point you towards the dungeon.. or maybe its nothing lol (could be an indicator like he's going north or something.)

I must admit that I'm not fond of the futuristic looking menu screens. All that talk of "clean"? Pah! Give me dirty! I want to see the ale stains on my map! I want gothic script, not Lucida Sans!
But, it's the zeitgeist apparently.

I found it, there's another thread complaining about the futuristic map and menus, similar to DA2 I guess. IMHO yes the map is like a GPS but it looks so fantastic and gives us such a great view of the gameworld I just can't not love it. Menus maybe should look a bit more fantasy like but they look quite functional.Rockworm503 wrote...

You mean pause in combat? Well you can pull up a menu if you need a little "oh crap" timeout. Generally their Easy is pretty easy, though.Elhanan wrote...
Without Pause and full-time 3rd person, I doubt this one is for me. But it looks spectacular! Here is the clip I saw:
The 3D inspect is awesome.
I guess the constellation thing is kind of cool- it's lore friendly. The 3D map could prove useful, but what do local maps look like? That's when it would be useful to see levels etc.
