Eh, I let the new patch install and haven't noticed any differences with magic resist. Although a horse fell out of the sky as I was walking down a road.
i was walking towards whiterun after slaying the first dragon. then, as i aproached a crossroad, the ground began to shake and i heard the call of the greybeards. just after the earth stopped shaking, a dead giant fell out the air right on top of me

Great, I've visited the Greybeards for the first time, and now my companion has disappeared. She is nowhere to be found. She is still gone when I fast travel. Gahh, did the Greybeards eat her or something?
Which companion?
Try going to wherever you originally found her.

I was bored, so I drew a map of Tamriel after the Great War.
Black Marsh and Hammerfell have become independent, with the latter not having lost an inch of land to the Aldmeri, and the former even gaining land by expanding into Morrowind. Morrowind has been shattered, with a giant sea where Vvardenfell and the coast of the Sea of Ghosts used to be (Your interpretation of how much of Morrowind was flooded may differ from mine).
Southern Morrowind has fallen to the Argonians, while the Empire has managed to hold on to the north-western sections directly over the border. North-eastern Morrowind, Telvannis, remains independent. I kept those parts from the Argonians because the lore states they conquered southern Morrowind; which means the other parts need to go somewhere else. The Telvanni and their millenia-old wizard leaders managing to hold off the Argonians doesn't sound too crazy, so I went with that.
The Empire has been reduced to Skyrim, High Rock, Cyrodiil and north-western Morrowind. I transferred Leyawiin to the Aldmeri Dominion, as the lore states they conquered it and it has long been a target of Khajiit irredentism; it seemed logical for them to keep it. Many will probably disagree with this, though, since it isn't explicitly stated they did. The borders between Cyrodiil and Valenwood remain the same, with a few minor alterations in the Dominion's favor. (Due to me failing at drawing the original borders, mostly. Same with Hammerfell and Black Marsh.)
Thoughts?
Great map!
Interestingly, if Ulfric wins and Skyrim gains independence, then High Rock becomes isolated from the rest of the Empire. That will make it easy for the Thalmor to conquer Cyrodiil.
Yup. An independent Skyrim will make High Rock nearly impossible to govern. Which pretty much means the death of the Empire.
Also, Cyrodiil will have trouble drawing troops from High Rock in the event of a Thalmor invasion: the troops would have to march through hostile lands if they wanted to reach Cyrodiil.

Usually they don't follow because they are too far behind, in which case waiting for an in game hour will fix that.

The dark elven priestess at the Shrine of Azura. I have been there already and she isn't there. She hasn't died as far as I know. She was still with me when I reached the top of the mountain, and you don't have to fight at the greybeards.
She disappeared on me as well. It's a bug

Araena Lenith ?
Try this:
Activate console and type
player.moveto 28ad1
that will teleport you to her current location.
Or you can type :
prid 28ad1
moveto player
that will place her at your current location

A few of the NPCs have disappeared on my main playthrough. I'm starting to wonder if it's due to the fact I can't sneeze for fear of hitting a dragon. They're everywhere! Every time I enter a town, one attacks. Fortunately I've never had the Azura priestess never disappeared for me, but Gulum-Ei in the Thieves' Guild quest did, as did Viola in the Blood On The Ice quest (meaning I couldn't complete either or advance through the Thieves).

The game released working just fine the patches have systematically broken the game beyond all reason or recognition. I am so pissed off right now . . .

Be warned the last console command makes a copy of the character I believe, not the one that is missing.

Somehow Steam made itself online and patched my game! I shouldn't have to unplug my network cable to prevent this from happening. oh well, I can use a break.
Same thing happened to me- I know for a fact I disabled Skyrim from autoupdating and yet it downloaded the patch anyway.
Especially for single player games, I wish Steam wasn't so pushy in updating games via automatic patches.

Wait a minute here. You can't play the game after getting the patch? What?
The new patch is terrible, just god awfully bad it breaks 3 things for every one thing it might fix avoid it like the plague. My control scheme is now so horribly broken the game is for all intents and purposes unplayable, I can't fast travel or use quick menus. I'll have to try to revert to back to the release day patch and find some way to fix the now horribly broken control settings.

nope.
prid <RefID>
moveto player uses reference id (RefID). It is teleporting exisiting object/NPC to your location
player.placeatme <BaseID> this command makes a copy of object/npc

Well in my case I keep steam offline since I have sucky internet, but ocasionally I have no choice and as such I am stuck downloading a patch at extrememly slow speeds. The 18 meg patch took an hour for me, and steam likes to autopatch no matter what.
Sigh.

Same here, I usually download stuff elsewhere and install it on my gaming PC.
I was more talking about people saying that they're unable to play after getting the patch.
