It is Imperial Will that you support Ulfric! When I was in Emperor Pelagius' mind he shouted "Skyrim for the Nords!" and "Skyrim deserves to be free!"

Yes. Skyrim deserves to be free. Right after the Thalmor are eliminated:) Question: Would you rather be ruled by the Empire or defeat them and later be ruled by the Dominion?KJandrew wrote...

Is there any reward for playing the game on higher difficulties?
I'm thinking: Adept is the right amount of challenge.

Uh huh. The Empire is right now at the mercy of the Thalmor. "Hai Imperials, let us enforce the Talos laws for you." "Well that won't be nec-" "GREAT! We'll send a batallion of Justiciars now". Also, there is a difference between being "Spineless" and being crippled or weakened (Oblivion Crisis and secessions)greengoron89 wrote...
Oh really? The Empire has failed pretty badly at eliminating the Thalmor so far. Instead, the Imperials let the Justiciars roam the land and drag off anyone who worships Talos to imprisonment, torture, and death.
Meanwhile, the fully independent Hammerfell continues to push the Aldmeri Dominion out of their lands without any aid from the spineless Imperials.
The Empire can continue to be the Thalmor's lapdogs if they wish - but they won't be doing it in Skyrim. My Dragonborn will see to that personally.
What do you think the best level to transition from Adept to Master/Expert is?naughty99 wrote...

No, in fact I know quite a few people who enjoyed playing on Adept at the beginning and then switched to Expert or Master to increase the combat difficulty as their PC became more powerful at higher levels.

Also finished the Civil War. I noticed Ulric carried a very appropriate weapon.

I personally think Expert has the best balance between challenging fights and feeling powerful.

Well, I've played only in Master Difficulty and I wouldn't change it for nothing. After 220 hours with my first char, level 59, pratically unstoppable, I was missing so much early levels of char dev that I recreated him. =)
Getting there is even more fun than being there! =)

I decided to start over as well. I will probably pick up that character again later, but as a "sneak thief" at level 45 already a lot of the combat was becoming a bit too easy on Master difficulty. I was already playing with no followers and I suppose the next step is to play without wearing armor, or stop using powerful enchanted items.
I will start a new character, this time either a mage or warrior, and complete some of the faction questlines I skipped. Maybe I will switch back and forth between the playthroughs.
