It is Imperial Will that you support Ulfric! When I was in Emperor Pelagius' mind he shouted "Skyrim for the Nords!" and "Skyrim deserves to be free!"

Opps. To late. In my game he is nothing more but a trophy lying under the feet of the new jarl Brunwulf Free-Winter. heheImage IPB

But the nords won't be free without the imperials. Good thing the emperor is gone.

Yes. Skyrim deserves to be free. Right after the Thalmor are eliminated:) Question: Would you rather be ruled by the Empire or defeat them and later be ruled by the Dominion?

Also :lol::lol::lol: @ the censorship video.

I'm terribly imaginative.

I want to make Mittens of Horticultural Larceny, but can't find any appropriate enchants. Woe.

On another topic, I'm getting VERY annoyed with Master/Expert difficulty. With Magic users, my attacks are rendered useless by magic shields and I'm getting two-shotted by frostbolts.
With melee users, I'm my attacks get shrugged off and they proceed to one-swipe me. Top that off with TERRIBLE levelling placement in dungeons and you have a whole lot a death and rage.
Is there any reward for playing the game on higher difficulties?
I'm thinking: Adept is the right amount of challenge.

Oh really? The Empire has failed pretty badly at eliminating the Thalmor so far. Instead, the Imperials let the Justiciars roam the land and drag off anyone who worships Talos to imprisonment, torture, and death.

Meanwhile, the fully independent Hammerfell continues to push the Aldmeri Dominion out of their lands without any aid from the spineless Imperials.

The Empire can continue to be the Thalmor's lapdogs if they wish - but they won't be doing it in Skyrim. My Dragonborn will see to that personally.

No, in fact I know quite a few people who enjoyed playing on Adept at the beginning and then switched to Expert or Master to increase the combat difficulty as their PC became more powerful at higher levels.

You are getting more exp (your skills are leveling faster) from combat.

Uh huh. The Empire is right now at the mercy of the Thalmor. "Hai Imperials, let us enforce the Talos laws for you." "Well that won't be nec-" "GREAT! We'll send a batallion of Justiciars now". Also, there is a difference between being "Spineless" and being crippled or weakened (Oblivion Crisis and secessions)

The fully-independent Hammerfell and most of its resources are consumed by Thalmor encroachment. Hammerfell can barely help itself and matters will become worse for them once the Thalmor take the now fully-disabled Imperial province (One Skyrim cedes). What makes you think it can support the fledgeling state of Skyrim? This leads to another thing, How can Skyrim HOPE to stand a chance against the Dominion?

The "lapdogs" of the Thalmor will eventually turn on their masters when they amass enough strength, I swear I will make it happen.

What do you think the best level to transition from Adept to Master/Expert is?

LOL

I should enchant one of those brassiere plate armors as Cuirass of the Heroic Cleavage.

I think it depends a bit more on your skill levels and perks in the specific combat skills you are using, as well as what sort of magic items you have acquired, rather than the character level.

I played about 200 hours on "master" difficulty, and I noticed the game was tremendously challenging at lower levels, then got a bit easier after I had acquired certain items and improved my sneak, archery and one-handed skills, probably around level 20-30 or so. Assassin's Blade and Steady Hand had the largest impact.

Now I am at level 44 and I still encounter some challenges, but I'm considering starting over before doing the main quest. I've only completed about 60% of the thieves' guild quest, the first Imperial Legion quest and the Thalmor Embassy part of the main quest. Haven't done any of the DB, College of Winterhold or Companions, as I intend to save those for next time.

Actually...the higher the level the more you can increase your skills due to battles lasting longer and enemies having more health. So yes, that's the bonus if you count it as one.

I personally think Expert has the best balance between challenging fights and feeling powerful.

That's what I've been playing it on most of the time.

Well, I've played only in Master Difficulty and I wouldn't change it for nothing. After 220 hours with my first char, level 59, pratically unstoppable, I was missing so much early levels of char dev that I recreated him. =)

Getting there is even more fun than being there! =)

I decided to start over as well. I will probably pick up that character again later, but as a "sneak thief" at level 45 already a lot of the combat was becoming a bit too easy on Master difficulty. I was already playing with no followers and I suppose the next step is to play without wearing armor, or stop using powerful enchanted items.

I will start a new character, this time either a mage or warrior, and complete some of the faction questlines I skipped. Maybe I will switch back and forth between the playthroughs.

Mage has been a really fun class with Improved Destruciton mods. The variety of spells combined with the fact that if I want some melee I just use Bound Sword/Bow. The only thing I'm worried about is that I won't be able to be a werewolf because I don't think they're are any mages in the Companions are there?

You can also join the Companions as a mage, if you like. I think there is some initiation involving hitting someone once with a weapon, which can probably be bound if you prefer not to carry weapons.

There isn't really any class limitation for joining any of the major factions, other than your own roleplaying parameters.

Although I imagine some of the thieves guild quests would be a bit more challenging if you cannot sneak, pickpocket or pick locks.

I played as a thief during my first playthrough and I'm saving the civil war quests, Companions, DB, College of Winterhold (as well as most of the main quest) for next time simply to have something exciting to look forward to.

I love my mage and I want to be in as many factions as possible RP style with her so that's why I was wondering, thanks! Yeah - I'll leave the thieves guild for another playthrough.
