No, you can't. There are 62 specific NPCs you can marry. It's a shame, since the ones I like are never available. <_< Maybe if I ever decide to complete the Companions quests and become a werewolf I might choose one of the available Companions.

Can anyone tell me if you HAVE to transform into beast form once a day, or can you choose not to? That's really my biggest hesitation with turning furry. I don't like the beast form, so when I did the quest to become one I ended up reloading.

I'm bummed that I can't marry Brynjolf!!!

No, you don't have to transform. My character has had that ability for over 200 days, and hasn't transformed once. Image IPB Besides, you have the option to reverse it whenever you want (provided that you do the required...thing).

He's the only one I wanted!!!! Why did he have to be awesome and unavailable?! :crying:

Thank you for that info on the wolfies! I will now happily finish the Companions quests since I don't have to turn furry if I don't want to. Hooray!

Has anyone found a spell to summon Daedra yet? I've been looking, but still see nothing better than a Flame Atronach. I have the Command Daedra spell, but nothing to summon. Image IPB

No clue about the spell (I am not using magic at all) but you can get "Sanguine Rose" deadric artifact from "A Night to Remember" quest. Look for a dude sitting at the bar and accept to drink with him. Can't remember but i think I meet him in Solitude's tavern.

With this staff you can conjure Dremora. No idea if she is any good - I never use any summons.

@xkg I have that sitting in a chest with a bunch of other Daedric artifacts I never use. Maybe I should get it out and give it a try.

I just miss the crowd of Xivilai and Dremora I could summon in Oblivion. It seems like they gutted the number and variety of spells you could have in Skyrim as compared to Oblivion. :( I started working on a combat/magic character combo but have since found it better to focus purely on combat. You have to aim spells in Skyrim it seems, and I suck at hitting moving targets with powers. I hired a mage mercenary for my magical fighting needs and he's awesome.

Been playing Skyrim with my Spell-Sword and having quite the literal blast.

Turned on my Amon Amarth and played "Twilight of the Thunder God" as me and a dragon went toe to toe atop a ruined fort.
Bastard jumped me when I was facing around 6 or so bandits.

However I must say that I am quite impressed with Skyrim and honestly just spent an hour doing nothing but practising my smithing.
TES games always have a special place in my heart!

I love my spell sword.

I'm not bothered about the revealing armours, personally, because there are plenty of practical ones too. So there's everything to suit whatever character I choose to make.

I read on the wiki you can't marry khajiit or wood elves. :( I wanted to marry J'zargo. Well, not with my high elf, that wouldn't be very fitting, but with my next character (a khajiit as well). I want a spouse with a furry tail! And J'zargo remembers me of Zevran somehow.... xD

He reminds me of Zevran too! Well, all the Khajiit do. I love their voices. Image IPB

It seems pretty silly that the race options are limited with that. Like there's only one Redguard for marriage, and she's a priest. My characters ended up with the Companions (Aela and Farkas), but I wanted to marry Brynjolf (Thieves), or Gabriella (DB). I would've made an Argonian for Veezara too.

It does. Happened to me while I ran off to find that cave or whatever to begin the hunt. I didn't even realise I was wearing the thing until it happened.

Yeah, the full story here:

As of today, it’s been three weeks since we released Skyrim  worldwide. We’re simply blown away by the response, from new and old  fans, and amazed by the sheer number of people playing the game. It’s  been absolutely fantastic hearing your stories, seeing early mods, and  watching fan videos (more live music ones please, we love those).

We want to thank everyone reading this for playing our game and  supporting all it tries to do. We wouldn’t have this success without  you, and we want you to know we’re committed to making your Skyrim  experience even better. And not just in the short term, but over the  life of the game. Here’s a quick peek at what we’re working on right  now:

Creation Kit  — Beginning in January, PC players will be able to download the same development tools we used at  Bethesda Game Studios to create Skyrim. In tandem with the Creation  Kit’s release, we will roll out a new Wiki and videos to help you get  started. It also features something we think you’re going to love…

Steam Workshop – We’re excited to share news that we’ve been working closely with Valve to integrate Steam Workshop into the Creation Kit. Using the Workshop, you’ll have free user  content with the push of a button. The Creation Kit will bundle your mod and upload it to the Workshop, where everyone can browse, rate, and  flag mods for download. You’ll be able to do this from any web device,  including your smartphone. Like a live Netflix queue, when you fire up  Skyrim, mods you flagged will be automatically downloaded and installed. Everyone here is really excited about the opportunities and  possibilities this opens up for our entire community.

Prefer to use existing modding sites? Not a problem. You’ll still be able to upload/share/access Skyrim mods on fan-created mod sites.

Continued Game Updates – This week we released  update 1.2 across all platforms, and we’ll be releasing an incremental  update next week. We anticipate it will be up on PC first, and then hit  PS3 and Xbox 360 later in the week. Among other things, the update will  fix issues like magic resistance not calculating properly and the rare,  amazing backwards flying dragon. Once the update is released, we’ll  share the full release notes.

After the holidays, we’ll continue to release regular updates for the game — through full title updates, as well as incremental “gameplay  updates” to fix whatever issues come up along with rebalancing portions  of the game for difficulty or exploits. We plan on having a lot of these, not just a few. Overall, you should expect updates to be hitting  the PC and Steam earlier and more often, as that’s a process we control. Console updates will follow, as they must be certified and processed by those manufacturers.

We all know this is a huge game, and everyone has a different  experience. We’ll continue to do everything we can to make the game  better and better for as many people as possible every day. We’ve also  realized that with the millions upon millions of people playing Skyrim, we need to treat our updates with greater care. If we get too aggressive trying to fix a minor issue, we run a risk of breaking something larger in a game like this. To be safe, we are prioritizing code side fixes  right now over data fixes. Quest and balance issues are usually data,  and those will start rolling in a large way with the January updates.

Thanks again for your continued support and patience. We truly have  the best fans in the world, and we couldn’t do it without you.

Sounds good- curious to see what the Steam Workshop thing is all about.  Although I really hope that beyond fixing their busted patch from yesterday they get on fixing more of the busted quests and performance issues in the cities.

Maybe because they're both voiced by Jon Curry?Image IPB  Or did you know that and were being ironical?

They are reminding us that this game is like real life- all the good ones are unavailable!

Wait, what? You're kidding, right? No, I honestly didn't know that! I only knew that Gideon Emery, who voiced Fenris, is all over the place in Skyrim. Lol, I guess I was more right than I realized that he reminded me of Zev, haha. Ow, that makes me want him even more!:pinched:

Admittedly I just tend to get stuck to one particular armour for each character and then improve it (elven, nightingale and robe respectively), so I don't know about the full range, especially when it comes to heavy, but I'm sure I put the ebony armour on Aela and thought it looked fine.

Yay, Mjoll!

I don't think her health is necessarily any higher than yours, but she never loses that last bit on her health bar, she'll just go down until she re-gens.

Mjoll just doesn't die and she's completely multi-functional in combat.  She'll draw Grimsever and a shield or any two-handed weapon for those up close and personal moments, or will draw a bow or dual wield magic staffs or any combination of the above, if you're tanking.  She is completely badass, even if a bit chatty and repetitive.  Do yourself a favor and smith her up a set of forsworn armor for your more casual activities!  All you have to do is smith it up past her standard iron armor stats.  Niiiiice!  Don't forget the headpiece. Image IPB

I think I have 6 weapons in her inventory and she uses them all.

EDIT: Congratulations on 500 pages.

If Mjoll the Lioness is that good, why couldn't she even beat a Dwemer Centurion.

It's puzzling that she talks so much in comparison with other companions. Maybe she's a leftover of an original plan of Bethesda to have fewer, but more developed companions like in New Vegas.

I'm actually kicking myself because it only occurred to me very recently that Eola can be used as companion.

Huh, weird: I'm in Hillgrund's Tomb, helping that guy to get to the necromancer that is abusing the bodies of his ancestors. All is well, we kill a few groups of draugrs...  but with the next group of undead, my companion Aranea Ienith decides she doesn't like Golldir and starts frying him!:o I thought there maybe was a case of accidental friendly fire which turned them hostile against each other, but I reloaded and as soon as the first draugr comes to life, she starts to attack Golldir and he attacks her. When his health his low and he begs for mercy she lets him be for a moment, but then she attacks again and kills him.=] What's going on? Why doesn't she like the guy suddenly?

huh.. you guys think Radiant AI may carry over some stuff from one char to another? Like, I started this new char and found much better equip for a 2-handed right off the beginning. Then, at level 4, I find a horse near Helgen with a dead owner so I could take it without "stealing" it. (I rode my first horse with first char at level 19 and in his late game, from hour 150-220, I used the horse a lot, for the fun of it)

I met my first Troll with previous char when I was high level too, an Ice Troll and it was an easy kill. Now I met a common Troll at level 6, in an area I've cleared all around with first char at his begining. There was no troll there then! Now I had to run! I'm kind redoing the steps of my first char without so much noobyshness as first char had.

And now, at level 8,  I met the first bunch of Thalmor Justiciars on the road. They had no prisoner and they were hostile on sight. They even carried an Execution Order against my new char! The old one could talk to them before taunting them to attack, when they first met. Then he killed a whole bunch of them during his 220 hrs, plus their embassy  and their prison.

This new char did nothing to warrant an Execution Order! I'm glad I'm taking a pack mule, erm, elven archer from Riverrun as companion since early levels or I could never take the Justiciars! But I'm really curious. Why on Earth have they attacked me on sight or rather, what's the reason for the Execution Order? Seems I'm going to have to teach them all a lesson again! =)

(PS:  damn nice loot for a level 8. Two full sets of Elven Armor and stuff. Pitty I'm a Heavy Armor user but the mule, erm.. the elf will be content).

Well, she assisted in beating a couple of Centurions.  Worst that happened was that she went down and my Nord finished them off OR she went down and my Nord died horribly.  Either way, she'll probably end up going down...but not out, in a boss fight.

EDIT:  Which is an advantage in and of itself.  Lydia would going down in a second and die soon thereafter against a Centurion, thus forcing me to reload 3 times even after defeating it (just to keep her around).  Mjoll takes a little longer to go down, and won't die on you (at least in my experience).  Boss fight's a Boss fight.

I use this staff all the time.  The summoned Dremora dishes out a lot of hurt with a two-handed sword.

No, in the story she tells you about how she lost her sword, she got beaten by a centurion and saved by that wuss Aerin.

In my experience, Mjoll is as good as any other tank companion, as long as you level each one of them up with you with the console.

^ I'm totally digging Ghorbash as a tank, but like Farkas and Cosnach, he seems to have an issue with not following right away. Mjoll was always pretty good about that.
