You have a chance to contract Sanguinare Vampiris whenever a vampire hits you with anything, be it a spell or a melee attack. A pretty high chance in my general experience, though I suppose racial disease resistance is going to affect that.

So if you're having really bad luck, running around healing yourself whilst one smacks you around will do it.

If you can, then it's a silly bug. Lycanthropy makes you immune to disease, so how are you supposed to contract the vampirism...when you're Immune?

I dunno if this is a patch bug or what, but the Bosmer character I created this week has been getting sick more often than my Nord did.

just found another bug caused by the new patch; Broken Bookshelves. Basically you use the bookshelf once and you can no longer place books on it. Other than manually placing them on there of course. Kind of annoying seeing as how I like to collect the skill books and a other interesting ones Ive read. Hope they release a patch for the patch soon lol

Yes, I'm experiencing broken book shelves too. Except the glitch happened to me after I pressed "Take All" from a shelf in Whiterun. I was trying to rearrange everything...but no. The books were simultaneously in my inventory and still on the top shelf. After that I couldn't interact with the books or the top shelf of the bookcase. Bottom shelf still worked though. Taking the books one at a time off the shelf didn't cause it to glitch, but it's very annoying taking eighteen books individually off a shelf.

I just don't understand how something that was perfectly fine and simple could be so screwed up after a patch.

I had to delete the patch when I found that out. I like collecting books on the lore of Tamriel.

Given how the patch removed elemental resistances, provided us with broken bookshelves, low-ressed textures, made dragons fly backwards for everyone, and I have to say that it seems like the patch caused some problems than it fixed.

Not all these problems are universal, the resistances bug seems to be the only 1 that is, its the only bug the patch introduced for me. I haven't had backward flying dragons etc.

You can't mix them at all. And once you cure either, you can never get them again.

I actually cured my vampirism by getting lycanthropy lol.  Basically lycanthropy overrides vampirism.

Like I said in a previous post;  Seems the patch broke more than it fixed lol.  I just experienced the backward flying dragons myself yesterday.  However, my bosmer is still 100% immune to poison and my Nord's hella high frost resist is still unaffected as well it seems.  Only reason I know for sure that my resists are still intact is because I tried to kill a flame atronach with fire, and it just wasnt happening lol.

I was Beast Blooded and I got the message, the symptoms and it showed in the Active Effect list: Sanguinare Vampirism. We should be immune, I don't know if it can develop from that stage, but we do contract it as well as Bone Breaker fever from bears and stuff.

I just ended up putting Steam in offline mode and rolling back to 1.1. It was very annoying having the dragons constantly flying backwards and never landing. You'd have the dragon fight music going constantly but you could never fight them.

Can I enchant armor to increase my magicka? Oh, how wonderful that would be. I used to make weapons and armor, then I took an arrow to the knee.

Yes, my helmet is enchanted for + magicka, and my cuirass is enchanted for mana regen and Destruction.
