How do I remove the "Paarthurnax" quest? I made the mistake of returning to Sky Haven Temple after finishing the main quest and talking to the two losers before I shouted them off the mountain. Now that stupid quest is sitting in my quest log, daring me to finish it.

Looking there you will find that you can increase your magica by enchanting any of those :

Hulda was planning on retiring and I think Ysolda wanted to buy the Inn from her. At least, that's what I remember from the ambient NPC dialogs when I alst stayed there (another big plus for Skyrim is the level of ambient dialogs, captures the living world aspect really well).

So there's the logic behind it but uhh... Guess Ysolda got greedy in the negotiations.

No to the second part, silly. And, well, no to the first part too. There's marriage, but it's not exactly what I'd describe as 'romance'.

Fortunately not - I haven't gotten that far into the main quest yet. But I've heard plenty about it, and it sounds pretty intimidating.

I don't think it is part of the main quest.
Going there is a part of secondary quest - Discerning the Transmundane. I think you caen gat that quest on any lvl.

Search north of Winterhold for "Septimus Signus's Outpust" or just use this map to find it:






Oh and don't forget to take a pcikaxe with you. This is the only area with Geode Veins. You can mine Soul Gems ffom them.

And the item you'll get for finishing this quest is verrrry nice too

Do any of you get a random event where you're attacked by Hired Thugs? My Bosmer is getting them at level 5 and dammitall, I can't beat them. I keep dying over and over and over, and they killed Uthgerd the Unbroken.   My PC is  just too squishy to beat them. I take it that this is bad karma for her stealing.

Very often. But I am on 51 lvl so I don't even bother. Just standing and watching Mjoll slaying them.

But that will end soon. My next mission is to wipe all Dark Brotherhood guild. Fools are going to regret sending all those assasins after me.
