@Rage: You want me to make a different banner for you? The one you're using was for War and still has his avatar behind the guard.
Yes, Please!
Thank you!

And with the No Helmet mod, I think I'll go Dwarven this time, instead of Ebony, for Armor at least. Going to Riften first (before Whiterun, level 15) to see if I can get the quest that rewards us with 25% extra Armor when using all Dwarven! =)

And I'm pretty underwhelmed by the robes... I need something with style... not that plain and simple stuff.
I think I'll have to go with the Thalmor robes. Just like their role models they know how to impress. I wonder if the in-universe Hugo Boss designed their armors for them

For the most part I think they did very well with the designs (although most armor on females can use a little...help). The robes look like they were put together with little resources which fits the theme of Skyrim. While the Thalmor, rich and plentiful, have robes by Dior. I love the fur additions added to the armor.

I love the armors too! I'm just not that impressed with the robes. They all look pretty much the same. The only one that differs from the rest is the archmage robe and that thing looks like you're wearing a blanket

That's Ulfric's pespective and it's very sad he dies with guilt like that, but the prophecy suggests that it was the banning of Talos that precipitated the dragons coming. The Thalmor didn't know they were doing that- they were only waiting for Aur-Iniel- but unwittingly they did.Nashiktal wrote...
When he dies he gains all the knowledge of what is going on in skyrim and regrets sowing the conflict that allowed the dragon to be revived. As he is saying this both imperial AND stormcloak soldiers that are trapped just outside of sovenguard (alduin is eating their very souls before they can reach it).
I'm also not surprised that Ulfric is a mournful ghost. He seems to carry guilt for leaving the Greybeards when you talk to him about that. People who say he's just a racist pig don't understand the character.
Well when he forces argonians to live in what is essentially the ass end of the city and dumner in a poor and destitute (also unprotected and patrolled) district.... all while protecting nords and only nords from bandits around the city (there is even a quest where you take out bandits ulfric refuses to because the bandits only target non nords, because they know the jarl won't retaliate), well yeah people are going to call him racist. Even if he has a higher goal (which I reject as his higher goal doesn't seem to help anyone) it doesn't excuse what he did.
Also while the thalmor started the end of the world, ulfric still recognizes how terrible the civil war was. The truce with the thalmor was a temporary stopgap that no one is seriously taking it as a long term deal. So along with the end of times that came about, the only thing ulfric manages to do whether he lives or dies, is to weaken everyone against the thalmor, who literally ARE trying to end the world in their own way.
Wind independance against the empire? Great that gives the thalmor free reign to take down skyrim before tackling the harder provinces like hammerfell and the empire itself. Lose the civili war and stay with the empire? Great you just drained manpower from everyone, make the empire including skyrim even easier to evade.
Oh speaking of which you get to meet the highking in the afterlife as well. Where he proudly accounts how he died with honor, and how ulfric cannot say the same. I feel bad for ulfric.

Ah, I see what your saying. They do lack diversity as I think there should be robes outside the Colleges design. Their pretty much just multiple recolors. A little unfair when you think of all the variety of armors there are.

This has been in this thread for some 10 pages now, in all of them! And all over the internet. She's wonderful. I only wished an Amulet of Mara would work on her! =)
I finally killed those damn Hired Thugs... Shot at them from stealth. It's a bit of a twink since they aren't hostile until you talk to them, but whatever, I'd lost enough reloads to those idiots. It was Anise who put out the hit. She must have sent the contract quick, before I killed her...
A little later on I was getting chased by two sabre cats and, in fleeing, picked up a pack of wolves too. Uthgerd was nowhere to be seen, my girl was about to be torn apart- then I got an assist from a giant. Thump, thwack and both sabre cats were dead. I love the giants, I can't ever kill one.
I swear, this girl is so squishy and she gets into the worst scrapes.

Yeah, yeah, I just can't get worked up about the racism stuff because the entire TES world is racist. Everyone's racist about everyone else. Don't mention the imperials because they're very full of themselves, too.Nashiktal wrote...

Also if you talk to Niranye and the Dunmer in Windhelm, they tell you that the Dunmer who came there after Vvardenfell expected everyone to be impressed by their "I'm from House Wacka Wacka" talk and are too proud to do what they need to do to establish themselves. Since Black Marsh and Elsweyr are in the Dominion, Ulfric also has no reason to trust lizards and kitties.
Torygg did die with honor. I respect him for his courage. I think Ulfric does, too. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and just because someone says something doesn't make it the truth.Wind independance against the empire? The empire can't save anyone- that is clear. And I would say that the "harder provinces" are Skyrim and Hammerfell. The Thalmor main force was destroyed and yet Titus Meade gave them nearly everything they wanted anyway. The empire, like most empires, is rotting from the core. Time to cut the anchor before it drags Skyrim down with it. As someone on Bethsoft forum said, the rebel king is also a powerful figure in TES lore- Ulfric may end up being a history-changer.

Any Console Command to remove the Bonus Health Bug?
My char's Health is showing extra 14 points, in green, without any Active Effects that Fortify Health. I know other players experienced the same with different figures and it's probably related to Fortify Health potions somehow. (I know mine bug was triggered by drinking that skooma-based potions that I got from some crazy hostile merchant at low level and had to use during a tough fight, at that low level. (I only play Master diff and some ranked type of enemies are quite tough).
Anyway, is there a console command that removes all buffs? I don't want to simply reduce my base health. I want to fix it.
Please? Anyone good at messing around with the console? RPGamer? There's gotta be a way to reset the stats to non-buffed status but no website with commands list has it. It's been reported by other people as well and I expect no help at Bethesda forums.
They're all worried about getting 2500 armor and 3200 dmg and cheating their azzes off to do it. I'll have my gear crafted and enchanted with 100 Smithing/Enchanting/Alchemy too but without any console command for it whatsoever and using only Dwarven armor this time (Ebony if my life depends on it). I like Dwarven. I hate its Helmet! But it matches every memory I have of Dwarven ruins from Morrowind! =)

I don't know... I believe Torygg did took money to accept the treaty with the elves and ban the worship of Talos. And how can any Nord accept that? The God that helped the Nerevar in Morrowind? How can they deny it?

Destroyed? What?
To completely and utterly destroy an enemy army is encircle it and then process to kill off most of them. Sorta like Cannae.
The Empire won a victory, but just because you win a battle doesn't mean you win the war. The Thalmor would have regrouped and struck again, they just sued for peace so they could rebuild more easily.
Mind my preference is to side with the Empire, but to also kill the Emperor.

Try player.modav heath -14 ? The reason I suggest modav is because that's how you add bonuses (or at least it shows up in green, like that) so maybe if you typed a negitive number it would minus it? I hope that works for you.

Thanks, mate! It worked, kinda... hehe. But then it was showing in red. So I used player.setAV Health 220 then player.modAV Health -4 and it worked. (I didn't know about modAV. Glad you did!)
I am, atm, level 17 with 4 increases to Stamina and the rest to health, so if my calc is correct, I should have 220/140. It still shows in green like a bonus but whatever, it's better than red and at least it has the right figures for the base Health. I hated to feel like I was cheating!

People will say Solitude. And the suggestion does have merit. It's a giant 3 level mansion with a patio view of the water and a stunning late night view of the Aurora. It's got an endless amount of seperate storage spaces for your stuff if you're an anal compartmentalizer like myself. it also has a *safe*. that's right, an actual safe, right next to your bed.Elhanan wrote...
Amyone have a top recommendation for a new place?
But all that being said, it's not the most conveniently located house in Skyrim. That title goes to your house in Whiterun, where you've got *2* weapon merchants next door, a fletcher across the street, a general good's store 3 doors down, an alchemy merchant 4 doors down, a tavern 5 doors down, and a temple just one block away.
You might want to seek out the House in Riften, though. It's a two level "cabin-like" house. But what makes it unique is that it has 2 exit doors that lead to 2 different locations. The front door goes out to Riften, and the back door goes out to Skyrim.

You need the Ancient item you want to make, steel or iron and needs to be done at Skyforge. Grab what you want from Draugrs and take it to the forge.

Yep but only for weapons.
For armor pieces all you need is : steel ingots, iron ingots, leathers and leather strips.
And btw. Weapons are under DRAUGR category and armor pieces under DEADRIC. So i suppose you need deadric smithing to make armor.

From the way the main character begins and is written, my own lack of knowledge of the lore matches well with that of the intended victim of an executioner. I did not begin with any pre-designed concepts other than my own, and am not drawn into obtaining achievements or items as a general rule. So for the most part, I have been allowed to choose the path from the encountered story; not from some pie-shaped system of alignments.
For myself, the major turning point of my storyline was in that of discovering the agent of a dark ritual was a young abused child; a horrifying moment. Up to that incident, I was playing the character as more accepting and noble, then began my descent into wrathful avenger. And soon afterwards, being placed in a position where the character must choose how to survive made for a bit of change in personal world view, and choosing to become a leader within the Dark Brotherhood, but one that hated the mantle.
When that small child said that he wished to become an assassin one day, my heart froze, and the character went about insuring that such an event was less likely to occur. I was able to place the tainted orphan into a better situation, and then chose to secretly kill some of the clients. When a victim needed assistance, I chose to help in my chosen role of assassin. But when some self-seeking piece of filth simply desired to gain power, I also eliminated them.
And the game allows me to do it.
So when facing a regal target, and being asked to eliminate the one that placed him in my sights, I was able to remain silent in the knowledge that this was already the plan. They simply joined the growing ranks of death which included a mine owner, alchemist assistant, and an annoying jester.

You don't need Daedric smithing to make ancient nord armor. It's just listed there for some reason. Also, the honed ancient nord weapons don't work. You need the regular type.xkg wrote...

Isn't that ideology of Nordic superiority and nationalism, restricted to some of Ulfric's supporters in Windhelm and Ulfric rather than being widespread across Skyrim? Nor do I see it as being something different from the Argonian's view of the Kaijat, each one thinking the other is less than themselves. Each Jarl rules their Hold on their as they see fit, only owing vassalship to their High King, but the day to day administration of each hold seems to be in the hands of the Jarls, so who, what and how they defend and deal with other races in the hold is up to them not Ulfric. Nor do think Ulfric would try and enforce such an intrusive dictate if he wanted continued support.

Yet the ghettos still exist and there are Nords racially abusing them with impunity, none of which you see elsewhere so blatantly. None of which exists afterward in Windhelm if you side with the Imperials.Addai67 wrote...

Thanks for the fletcher tip; not much for going door to door in cities to discover that nugget. And I will check into Solitude housing after things have settled down there a little; heard there is a couple of homes now available since my last visit.
Note: How does one play without Stealth? This skill is invaluable thus far for my character. Watching foes run up close to my position in puzzlement is priceless!
