Nobody questioned a mostly-nude High Elf wearing a chef's hat who was jumping up and down on the dinner table as the emperor's meal was served.
..I've never heard of subtlety.

I think it's just level determined. She was really squishy for me, too. I picked up Jenassa with my Nord assassin. They are a great team. I just love Dunmer.RageGT wrote...
Oh... forgot to say what I had come here to say:
Uthgerd, the Unbroken... our first battle together, a few lame bandits outside the walls of Whiterun... and now she's dead? Either she was hurt from our brawl, which she lost, of course, or she gained her Unbroken alias from running away of fights!
I'm considering not reloading, not res'ing her and just move on... *sighs*

I wish I'd had subtitles on for the time when one of them pulled the "Hahahaha! You wish to defeat me?! Impossible!" line as I was running him through with a sword. That was priceless.
First time one did this to me was the first time I used Sanguine Rose, he ran away crying.

Plus, you get 100% disease immunity as a bonus. Is there any reason to not go werewolf?

I just love being a werewolf - the transformation cutscene never gets old, the messy kills are gorific, and the sheer amount of destruction you can cause is glorious. All but the most hardened foes run in fear from you if you roar at them - and those brave few can be dealt with my knocking them around like ragdolls and viciously mauling them.
Plus, you get 100% disease immunity as a bonus. Is there any reason to not go werewolf?
The damnation of your soul, being forced to serve a Deadric prince on his hunting grounds forever?
I got it for story, then just dumped it once I could cure it.

Absolutely that sounds like a great punishment.

But once you get the hang of it, you're virtually unstoppable - just about every enemy will fall to you. I wiped out an entire vampire den, cleaned out several Silver Hand bases, killed the entire cannibal cult (and ate them), beat down a Draugr Deathlord, took on four bears, five frostbite spiders, and two necromancers at the same time (and won) - there is no limit to werewolf badassery in this game.

Yes. There is. Eventually, a decent normal build surpasses them in power. After that, the only reason to go werewolf is for roleplaying purposes.greengoron89 wrote...

Build your Daedric-gear-wielding 2-hander correctly , and by level 40, all those enemies you mentioned aren't just falling to you, they're falling with one shot. You can even do a sweeping power attack that'll kill a group of them surrounding you with one shot

Still pales in comparison to my spellsword that can 2 shot a ancient dragon with a 1 handed mace, and thats if I dont use my maxed Illusion magics to sneak up and do it in one shot.

Ignoring role-playing purposes, it's also dependent on how often you find yourself making use of rested bonuses. In my case, I tend to forget about and forget to carry cure disease potions, so (at the least) lycanthropy means I can wander around killing things no problem without the hassle of vampirism's negative effects.

That all sounds very overpowered, and sucks the fun right out of the game IMHO - I'm reminded of the Soul Trap glitch from Morrowind where you could basically make your character a god. Wasn't much point to playing the game then if you just slew everything in one or two hits.
There is some degree of balance to it. As Yrkoon points out, eventually your normal character will outstrip the abilities of the Werewolf. The only benefit in normal form is that disease immunity, and while a werewolf you can only heal yourself while killing humanoids and are weak to silver weapons. It's got a few checks and balances to it.

I think dishing one-hitter-quiters all the time would truly spoil the game for me - the dramatic, technical nature of the combat really shines in this game and makes it fun to play for me.

First I was attacked by a random Sabre Cat. It was easy enough to get rid of. No big deal, but then a Cave Bear with three wolves trying to piggyback off it's success attacked directly afterwards. Mudcrabs and some kind of Scaled Fish I couldn't make out clearly in the water annoyingly nipped at my health while I crossed a river which I was too lazy to heal but quickly wish I hadn't been because back on the trail Bandits at Valtheim Towers attacked me after I refused to pay their obnoxious toll. Their overpowered Bandit Chief chased my puny archer halfway back down the path, cutting me in the a** a couple times, before finally I had enough breathing room to kill him. I looted the place and pressed on.
A stealthy Khajiit assassin from the Dark Brotherhood waiting patiently near a tree at a dip in the road took me completely by surprise this time. I backed up quite a bit during our fight and wandered too close to Fort Amol and Strom mages started attacking me. After one shot from my bow the Novice Strom Mage fled but the regular Strom Mage put up an inspired fight. That High Elf was super dodging my arrows and zapping me with shock spells every time I peaked out around my pathetic cover. Eventually she went down and boldly I decided to sneak into the Fort. Bad move. My bow and arrow did little damage againt a fireball happy mage. I had to GTF outta there as fast as possible.
Back on the trail wasn't much better though. I've never heard of this happening, but two Bandit Chiefs, and a Bandit Outlaw were chasing a fox down the hill. A FOX! After a long and tedious battle I finally got rid of them, walked a ways and thought things were finally easing up when a group of Wisp Mothers attacked, raining down ice spikes from Hell. I just ran until my stamina bar was completely drained. There was no way I could take them down by myself.
I run into a group of Stormcloak soldiers and thank goodness I did. A troll had worked it's way around the path and was running up the hillside after me. Four against one and it still killed one of the soldiers. Finally, I get to Ivarstead and I talk to Kilmeck about his supplies and ask him about any danger on the climb to High Hrothgar. He says the only thing to look out for are wolves, but as he says this I see in the background a troll fighting a cave bear. They were just slugging it out, the troll wins though and starts walking up the steps. No dice. I decided it was time to get a companion so I fast travel back to Whiterun and pick oup Uthgerd the Unbroken. On the way to the monastery we fight a troll, a snowbear, an ice wraith, a frost troll and to top it off, a dragon.
Finally, I get to the monastery. "So the Dragonborn has come." Argneir greets me. This group of Dumboldore fakeouts doesn't even have the slightest idea what I just went through to get here.
I saved my game and called it a day. I like adventure but not every second of a single trip.

Probably not since at the end of the game you are also welcomed into Elder Scrolls little version of Valhalla when you die. Hell through out the game you do **** that could easily allow you into multiple afterlifes. At a certain there would easily be a **** load of conflict over who gets the Dragonborn's soul.KenKenpachi wrote.

Werewolf form can indeed be a bit hard to get a grasp of at first - you have to utilize the "roar", use your power attacks to knock down enemies, and be quick on your feet to dodge incoming attacks.
How do we upgrade the wolves' shouts? I know there are 3 stages like the thu'um but I never got to know where/how we upgrade it. I hate things that are "too powerful" for my Roar and simple foresworn can be, at level 50+.
