ReallyRue are you using the pc or console. As I didn't have a problem with tracking the Argonian at all and finishing that one there. I'm using the pc. The only problem for which I've come across with the TG is like I said earlier truning in the last 2 larceny items to Delvin. Not sure about the 24 sones quest yet as I need one more to complete that one there. Hopefully I'll find it soon and let you know.

Xbox. I think which quests are broken must be completely random though, because my new playthrough doesn't have any unfixable problems so far. Yet on my first one, NPCs are always disappearing. I'd blame the dragons, but it's not even because they're killing people randomly.

@Ken, I thought all the races had the same voice? My brother has an argonian that sounds so much like an Imperial/Nord/whatever that it's not even funny. My redguard sounds fine though, except when using the "Throw Voice" shout. I just pretend its an imaginary voice she's projecting, because it sounds so wrong for her. Like Rikku from FFX or something.

Hmm well technically I have four, one is the strange amulate quest, two is the bards leaders insturment quest...welll crap five, also its leaders quest, as in I haven't been paid, I handed over the instruments to the other bards...which ended the quests, yet didn't remove the items from my invy.

4 is the...crap, its a book grab quest, it was worth alot so I took it to sell it, later on got a quest to grab it, which doesn't seem to know I ALREADY HAVE IT, and keeps telling me to go back. Then I open the chest, isn't there, can't put it back, so stuck. And the last is the Three Amulets quest the thrid and last place I need to clear out ALWAYS freezes...

But meh I like playing as a DW, but god Imperials are so short...Nords arn't suited for it, ditto for all other classes, and I just don't like playing as a redguard who is best for it, not as there black, which isn't a problem, I mean hell you can change the tone now from Deep Africa Black, to...idk looks kinda like an Indian, arab? One looks sorta white, its the Voices.

Every redguard male I've seen minus the one in the DB has that same sort of voice that reminds me of the hobbits and I HATE Them. And when I read the text of that redguard character I read it in that voice >>

First for the Retrival of instruments quest for which are referring to with the bards college is a known bug and there is a work around for it if you're willing to use it.  You might find out that there are other work arounds for sone of the other quests as well like the one kinown one in the companions Purify quest. Check here before you start a new game.

For the Bards College:

http://www.uesp.net/..._College#Quests

For others:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Quests

Hope this heips you and others out with some of the known bugs but I've yet to find work arounds for them all.

As for me I'm playing as a thief/assasin with bow and dual wielding daggers. Female wood elf.

Ok not sure about the console games and what bugs for which folks that do use them are experiencing. Like I said I use the pc.

Well now I'm glad that you've been able to playthrough game so far even though you had to start over which is unfortunate when you've really gotten into a game like this here. I did post a couple of links but untortunaly they are for Pc users as I don't believe console game players can enter into the console. I might be wrong on this here though after all it wouldn't be the first time.Image IPB

@KenKenpachi- I hope that you'll let me know if the links I posted help you out of your dilema.

I've only seen the Iron-Breaker mine respawn, the one town with 2 mines. I've only seen 1 mine respawn 1 time. Even though I did all the mines at the same time they just won't respawn.

I like Skyrim, but I think I'm gonna wait until it's more stable to before I keep playing.

You know what is silly:

A frost dragon and a blood dragon gang up on me.
Then by my "luck" another frost dragon comes from his spawn point on top of me.

However I was wearing full Daedric armor, had Spell Breaker, and the Lord Stone.
Then I proceded to BY MYSELF pummel all three of them to death, having only used the Storm call shout.
It was fun by those things did not even take a 1/4 of my health off.

I want a mod that makes dragons harder because in all honesty its just silly that I can slaughter three dragons all by myself.
And no I did not take pictures because it was 2:30 AM and I should have been sleeping before my exam that was at 9 AM.

Maybe I should put the difficulty to the highest setting and not just on the average one then.

What an odd (and awful) problem to have. Glad to hear the new playthrough is working ok, though. I'm also on XBox, and haven't had any game-breaking issues yet, knock on wood. I'm just over 220 hours into my first playthrough.

Except...I did have one thing glitch on me - Boethiah's quest. I brought the follower to sacrifice (sorry, old guy from Solitude), and once I had him on the platform, the same lines kept repeating. The only way I could un-glitch it was to kill all of Boethiah's cult members. For some reason, that fixed it, and I was able to continue the quest.

I also had one backwards-flying dragon after the patch. Just one. Knock on wood, that was the only one.

I had a couple of other items stay in my inventory, but discovered that I had missed a couple of little things i need to do (mostly it was because I didn't actually READ items I should have). Oops. I do still have the "strange amulet", though.

Yeah, I'm very glad the new playthrough is working, but it makes me a little sad because it makes me want to abandon my first playthrough. I have a few random items stuck in my inventory too (I still can't tell whether they actually have weight, because despite having a weight written beneath the name, they don't encumber me when added to my inventory). That 'strange amulet' is from the Blood on the Ice quest, right? Fortunately I could get rid of that before the quest bugged.

I had a seemingly random staff stuck in my inventory (worth quite a bit, but I couldn't sell it), and managed to get it out by sticking it on a weapon rack in my house. Then about eight hours later, I recieve a quest from Enthir at the College to recieve a staff, and it leads me right back to my own house. Easiest quest ever. Seems silly that you can pick quest items up even before the quests start though. No good for people who like exploring before getting into quests.

The dragons haven't flown backwards for me yet, though some of them are flying in a really lacklustre fashion.

I've only had minor quest glitches and nothing that didn't go away with some perseverance and a little help from the game guide and/or internet. Still some CTDs but I've just gotten used to that. Not seen any backwards dragons.

@Red no work arounds for Xbox players at this time, maybe in future bug fixes or trail and error for the most part so I'll need a restart.

As for random Items in the inventory a few of them like the quests for the bards college for retrieveing their instruments is a know bug and there is a work around for pc users Check my post to KenKIen on the previous page if you're interested.

As for a couple of other items I do have a dagger which I've picked up that I have yet to figure out who it goes to. When I try to sell it or store it at one of my homes it tells me it's a quest Item. Hopefully soon I'll be able to get that one out of there. And the strange Amulet.

Now I did just find a way to get rid of the amulet for the pc users that can use the console commands type in:

player.additem D2328 -1

This will remove it from your inventory.

I've had one backwards flying dragon and 1 that is still flying over the same area he stays in the same place and is there constantly. To high up to use a bow on him and he won't come down either. And when I'm in that area can't use fast travel.

KenKen- Sorry my friend when I posted those two links I didn't realize you were playing on the console and not the PC.

2 Questions:

1) is Master super hard? Adept is jokes easy so I turned it up to master...most fights still easy-ish but I am a bit over-leveled for where I am in the game (takes longer to kill, couple hits as opposed to one lol)

2) *slight early game spoilers* in the place with the 3 dragon rocks and the gates, how do you get through...tried using the level 1 run fast shout, no luck...its when you go get that relic for the greybeards, thanks.

Never heard of Raptr either, but it doesn't surprise me that Skyrim is most played. I've had the game for (how long has it been now, three weeks?) and I'm nowhere near 'completing' it. Most other games I would have literally completed ages ago.

@Drunk Canadian, you are supposed to use the Whirlwind Sprint shout to get through that, but it bugged the first time I did it, and I encountered an invisible wall where the gates had risen. The only way I managed it was leaving the ruin and doing some other stuff before returning and trying again. I ditched my follower when I returned though, so maybe their presence was part of the problem.

OMG, Malukah is amazing. Image IPB

That Is Beautiful:wub:
Immediatly downloaded the mods to let her sing in the game itself

I luckily haven't had much glitches myself, except for the occaisional random crash and a triple louie with one of them only have above the ground but nothing causing quests or the likes to fail or not beeing able to finish.

So far the only things that I really hate is that my companions have a deathwish... they just have to trigger every single trap they come across...
And I'm pretty sure Lydia hates me, she tried to kill me on several occasions by pushing me of cliffs.., so now I use Mjoll

That and that it totally gets in the way of my exams next week...

http://www.rockpaper...you-fix-skyrim/ read the comments, they are so bad that they are funny as hell

Me too. I still can't believe I've already sunk over 220 hours into one playthrough. One! I have so much stuff left to do, it isn't even funny. I can't help it, though; if there's something black that pops up on my map, I have to make it white! I have to! And I can't just add it to my map, I have to explore it.  I have to!
Image IPB

Any other game, and I would probably be on my 3rd or 4th playthrough, or playing something else entirely.
I'm getting excited to start my next character, though. I keep thinking maybe she'll be an Orc. Hmm...

@Kimosabe0 - I wish I could have Malukah singing in my game. *snif* I "liked" her on Facebook, and just read one of her recent posts that popped up on my wall. Dang, people are really mean.

Malukah
I can't tell you how awful I feel about not being able to reply to everyone personally and quickly. Someone just sent an angry message about this, and it made me cry. It kills me that someone may think even for a second that I am ungrateful for their support. I hope you guys know that I appreciate every single word of encouragement you say to me. I work two jobs during the day, and I've really been trying to keep up with everything whenever I can. I'm so, so sorry. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I see people announcing what they're doing (what TV show they're watching, what game they're playing) on Twitter (edit- I meant to add via Raptr). Seems stalkerish to me but whatever. lol

I wonder what the Steam records are.

And people are giving that woman grief about not responding to fan mail about a free download of her cover?!  WTF is wrong with people?

I began both of my playthroughs playing on Adept.  But  at some point after I was able to craft Ebony armor I upped it to Expert and left it there.  Haven't tried master yet,  But I can't imagine it's any more "difficult".  Skyrim is not a tough game.  It's not set up like Demon Souls or whatever.  No matter the difficulty, the game still allows you to brew  or buy all the potions you ever need,  and to drive the point home, it pauses the action for you so you can drink as many of them as you want right in the middle of battle.  That means  that as long as you plan ahead and pay attention, you can never lose a fight.

Skyrim set a new Steam record for the most played game in a week, first game to top 300,000 in a week IIRC.

I guess you figured out they activate by being near them. What I did was back off and lined up so I could sprint by the rocks and then did the sprint shout.

Took two or three tries for me to get the timing.

This is Master difficulty, 100% legit char, vanilla game but a No Helmet mod.

TES V - Skyrim - Heavy Trainer for Heavy Armor Image IPB

TES V - Skyrim - Heavy Trainer for Heavy Armor II Image IPB

And you need to use Whirlwind to crosses before the gate closes. With a little practice you'll do it. Sprint and when
hit the 3rd rock, shout.
