Yeah...that's just bizzare. I really would have no idea where to put a seven foot tall statue. I really don't understand fandom of any sort on that level.

It was confirmed in a recent interview, Todd was asked what was meant by "a richer, deeper faction system when compared with Oblivion" he reply was "By only having 3 factions for the player to join it allowed us at Bethesda to develop a richer and deeper experience for the player within those factions" so it would seem the faction system in Skyrim will be based on quality and not quantity.

Post your source or I call bull**** on this one. Bethesda knows very well that DB was most people's favourite guild in Oblivion and they would be pretty frickin' stupid not to include a similar faction.

You my friend are rediculous, as I said it is not my job to prove to you that the Dark Brotherhood wont be a joinable faction in Skyrim it is whoever is making the claim's job to prove that the Dark Brotherhood will be a joinable faction in Skyrim. It is like me saying that there will be a band of super awesome half dragon and half mudcrab supersoldiers called the Crabdom that you can join in Skyrim and asking you to prove me wrong, the burden of proof is on those who make these wild claims so unless those who are so sure that the Dark Brotherhood will be joinable in Skyrim show us some proof I have no reason to believe their claims which at the moment seem based on wishful thinking alone.

Besides it has already been confirmed that there are only 3 guilds in Skyrim so unless the Dark Brotherhood is one of them (which it isnt as the 3 guilds are the Companions, the College of Whispers and the Theives Guild) or somehow tie in with one of these guilds you will not be able to join the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim.

I'm not making a claim. I'm asking you a question, which requires an answer. Why? Because I don't know if the Dark Brotherhood will have an extensive questline and I'd like to assess the source myself. And you failed, friend. Post the interview or just shut up. Better yet, don't reply. Christ...

Oh dear it seems you are a little cranky, did you have your juice today? But you asked me if the Dark Brotherhood will have an extensive questline in Skyrim and I gave you the answer which is with the information I have here it would seem almost certainly the answer to your question is "no". You then asked me to prove that the Dark Brotherhood wont have an extensive questline in Skyrim however in asking my to prove that you might as well ask me to prove there are no unicorns in the Mona Lisa or leprechauns on the moon, sure I cant prove that there are no leprechauns on the moon however there is no reason to believe that there would be any on the moon in the first place.

If you are asking me to show you where Todd Howard or another representative from Bethesda says specifically that the Dark Brotherhood will not be a joinable faction in Skyrim then that is not something I can do, however what I can tell you is that it has been confirmed that there are only 3 major factions you can join in Skyrim and from the information we have been given the Dark Brotherhood are not among them, if you still dont believe me then there is not much else I can do, I guess the only way that you will ever find out is when you actually play the game yourself. That being said I have given you the answer however if you dont want to hear it then stop asking the question.

Yes I am sure the Imperial Legion and the Morag Tong were popular from Morrowind as well however that diddnt mean they made it into Oblivion as joinable factions now did they?

He only said that there are 3 Major factions. The three main factions have been the same in TES for a long time, always mages, theives and warriors. However implying that the "only" factions are those would be downright gullible. As much as believing there will be more, they both have the same amounts of legitimate fact...oh wait, go google power unlimited and dark brotherhood, looks like its back. Game over. Unless of course you want to argue dutch to english translation... Now debate on no facts that you will or will not be able to join. I'm gonna go with joinable.

Let's switch gears from this "faction" debate. We will find out one way or another November 11.

The music sounds great...it sounds like a sense or discovery all the time drum the one overworld theme. And the battle music is pretty nifty, too

Good point, It made me respond with annoyance, not good. Jeremy Soule is my favorite game composer. Can't express enough on the whole how great playing oblivion felt while hearing Auriel's Ascension and All's Well going on. To just name a couple. Seems like he's added a more Nordic theme to fit nicely with the barbaric nord thing.

Here is a version of the E3 gameplay footage without the annoying announcer's voice

you can hear the soundtrack and sound effects much better, including the dragon shouts and NPC banter

The music is quite good, Jeremy Soule's soundtracks are usually good and I think he's been on board since Morrowind. I know he orchestrated NWN 1's soundtrack too, one of the highlights of that game...I wish the OC was better but thank goodness for huge modding communities.

I'm really enjoying what he is doing for Skyrim.

You shouldn't have started with an "if." That was the question, and

then that is not something I can do

You failed, which I said previously. Instead, you believed that I'm asking you to "prove there are no unicorns in the Mona Lisa or leprechauns on the moon," when in fact that is wrong. And because of that, you wasted my time, I failed to get my juice today and became cranky. All because of you.

Don't worry. I got your answer. Not interested in what you have to say at this point.

Doesn't matter to me if they're joinable or not. If they're writing in faction interactions in Skyrim, putting the Dark Brotherhood as a tool between the clans or the guilds is more interesting than an isolated questline like Oblivion's. Hopefully, there's some decisions you can make that can affect Skyrim's political balance, but that's just wishful thinking.

I thought that Oblivion was generic, bland, and stale, to the point where I would go into Options and Mute it.

I loved the Dark Brotherhood questline, and the questline for Shivering Isles. My all-time favorite quests in Elderscrolls games happens to be Whodunit (Dark Brotherhood), The Tombs of Skaalara (werewolf side), Raven Rock (Falco Galenius side), and the Morag Tong quests in morrowind.

They hired a professional choir for this game and it fits perfectly. I do hope there are times though when there is no music...only wildlife, the weather and you.

And dragons in the distance.

The dragon shouts are also really neat. They sound rough and harsh....perfect for the Nordic environment

Personally, I will be avoiding Skyrim. The TES series have just become too dumbed down for me. Compare Oblivion or Skyrim to Morrowind and Morrowind is bigger and offers more freedom. I'm 70% sure its world is bigger than Oblivion's and Skyrim's - which is confirmed to be the same size as Oblivion's - world put together. It's a shame Morrowind had crap combat and run and fetch quests, otherwise I would have enjoyed it.

Oblivion was bigger than Morrowind. Also, how have TES games been dumbed down?

Please don't go down that route. It's an argument you objectively cannot win.

@ sympathy4saren. not yet. Though I remember reading something somewhat unreliable about them not planning to release one. Probably just lawyer speak and no promise making.

Edit. or some guy on wordpress lying about contacting Bethesda in March.

Your saying that like it's a bad thing...now if you said Dragon Age 2 however....
