Playing as a Stealthy Dagger/Shield is a lot of fun. Some cool killing animations, like Mi-Chan showed us in his video. (And I'm experiencing with my new role, at least for a while)

But Two Handers also have a great time in Skyrim. Guess the game has it for all kinds of taste and styles!

Be careful with the setlevel command. IIRC you can use it to set it to a level higher than the current one, but you cannot set it lower.

Is it just me or are the commanders of the city garrisons not the smartest people in the world? I mean a good two thirds of their troops seem to be at least semi-crippled

I'm having wicked fun with my sniper archer sneaky character, but also looking forward to a bonecrusher two-hander. My plan was to make a Nord male, but I'm actually tempted to roll an Orc. They look so badass in this game. And... and... sexy!

Good writeup Virumor. A few commands in there I hadn't known about in my experimenting. I'll have to try the setlevel thing on Sapphire to see if I can get her higher than the disable/enable commands got her.

Do not use this command on your followers. It can increase their base stats (health/magicka/stamina) but will screw their skills completely (to basic lvl).

I've just discovreded that there's Morrowind and Cyrodil terrain in Skyrim.

I'm pretty sure you all know that for long time, though I do ask did some moders decided to add those 2 countries in Skyrim?

On my second playthrough, I actually miss my mage character. There was no need to bother with these boring armours, weapons and smithing, I just destroyed things with my mind.

I also find that Skyrim is much more enjoyable if one eschews random exploration in favour of doing quests. The guilds and radiant quests take you to every location on the map anyway.

I'm the opposite- I found random exploration more fun and had to remind myself to save some of it for future playthroughs.

And I can't play a pure mage.  Something about running around in skirts.  I like to BASH ALL THE THINGS.

No, that was in the vanilla game.  Via console people were able to go beyond Skyrim borders and there is architecture (not developed) for Morrowind, Cyrodiil, etc.

Though I bet once the creation kit is out modders will get to work with all that unused territory.

As guildmaster those thieves are an embarassment. As a thief myself I pickpocket all the bystanders while they admire their handywork at bringing them to justice.

LOL  I was just looting the thieves' corpses.  I bow to your superior deviousness and will follow suit myself next time.

And Maven is probably just keeping up appearances.  If the idiots are that inept, they're cramping her style anyway.

I haven't seen any since I joined (and that was many, many, many hours ago), but maybe everybody loves my Breton now? Image IPB

Speaking of which, I started a new character last night (Imperial), and got a DB assassination attempt, and I was level 5. Good thing for Uthgerd, or that would have been a reload.

You missunderstood me.

I meant did some modders decided to add those countries since terrain of them is in vanilla game.

True that.

I ended up liking Maven alot more than I expected. She was nice enough to attend my Guildmaster ceremony, and was funny running into her at the Thalmor party. Shame I couldn't marry her Daughter. But then again as understanding as she was about stealing her horse, I think she'd draw the line there.

Thanks for the info, at first i was like this during the first few attempts on my life...

I must say, Hjerim is awesome. I wish all of the houses had that many weapon racks, cases, etc., although I have enough staves to fill up about 10 of those racks.

I'd like to know what goes in that empty room upstairs..? I'm pretty sure I bought all of the decorations for the house, but there is an empty room that seems like it needs some chairs or more storage. And a huge bin for my alchemy ingredients.

And where in the heck is Calder? I wonder if Mjoll and Aerin did something to him?

Yeah it was nice of bethesda to even acknowledge marriage and romance but I wish they could have taken it a bit farther. There are lots of npc's out there that use the same voiceactor as the one's we already can marry, but for superficial reasons we can't.

I also understand the general reasoning behind the brief "courting" ceremony, both for gameplay and story, but I really wished they could have added a small quest or something to pad it out, maybe even add some quests for the family itself once you have one.

Right now as it is, wives don't really do anything, even with roleplaying. Food is essentially worthless gameplay-wise, and unless you have a spouse that can travel the store isn't very useful.
