Well, I've been goofing around and decided to make a new pure Imperial character.:o

Couldn't think of any good Roman name. So I've settled for Colias Gratius Vorenius.

And a message to all Stormcloaks:

We're coming for you Stormscum!

I'm running out of things to do so I'm thinking of starting a new character, a Khajiit Male. What skills do you guys think I should focus on?(I'm thinking a magic hybrid characters ie. Spellblade or something like that).

Edit: This is strange. I have investigated the fletcher some more and found a bug. I first thought it had to do with selling him arrows or a number of items, but that's not the case:

Whenever the fletcher runs out of money then I save the game. Exit to Windows then reload that last saved game and his money has been reset and I can continue selling. I can repeat that as long as I like. Weird. :P

My character's always been annoyed that she got pushed into being Namira's Champion. She got blindsided by all the prominent NPCs at the feast. My character intended to use Verulus as a (weak) meatshield while she took down a very dangerous Daedra worshipper. One priest is a worthy sacrifice if it helped taking out Eola.

Instead, she had to abandon that plan and justify becoming a cannibal. In the end, it was about the potential consequences. Letting the Daedra get their way for now and killing the priest was a better outcome than losing key citizens. It's general merchant, it's food supplier, key to Markrath and key to my character. Utilitarian w/ an ego made for an interesting decision. Her utilitarian beliefs made the choice obvious, but her ego made it difficult to live down.

So of course, she was just waiting until she could inflict her revenge and take out the Eola in a fitting manner.

As a sacrifice...

... to be eaten.

Poetic justice.

However, I think my next character (Stormcloaks - Disillusioned Imperial ex-Legate Ranger or Empire - Patriotic Altmer Spy who hates the Thalmor) will not be undertaking any quests like that.

Bit too freaky and disturbing.

Still, I got the Ebony Mail, which rocks and made it all worth it.

I hardly feel like a role-player after reading all that. I just blow stuff up, grab the loot, and repeat a few hundred times.

On a side note, even pac-man is starting to feel the skyrim addiction.

I am going to start a new character. Quests start repeating. For an example I now have two Red Eagle swords. It was odd the second time. All I needed to do was to get to the bandit's naked body and loot him. The loot on his body reset. Of course the final cave was empty, because I cleared that before. This is the second quest in which this is happening. Also, after the patch the tutorial dialogs started repeating. Maybe I'll return to this character later. ;)

Lol. I usually just make up these stories after the fact, embellishing on what actually happens. You can read between the lines and figure out my actual thought process as I'm playing it.

"My character intended to use Verulus as a (weak) meatshield while she took down a very dangerous Daedra worshipper. One priest is a worthy sacrifice if it helped taking out Eola."

Translation - don't think I can take her down without help.

"Instead, she had to abandon that plan and justify becoming a cannibal. In the end, it was about the potential consequences. Letting the Daedra get their way for now and killing the priest was a better outcome than losing key citizens. It's general merchant, it's food supplier, key to Markrath and key to my character."

Translation - FFS not gonna lose half the town for this ****.

The part about sacrificing Eola though was pretty smugifying though, because my character did get roped into Namira's Feast and I was always irritated about that because my character wasn't meant to be a cannibal, but the obvious course of action for her was to think about what was best from a big picture perspective and that required compliance.

On another note, has anyone played around with the Midas Magic mod newly released? Force Push makes the beloved FUS RO DAH somewhat obsolete.

:P

Some quests may be repeated; reading the Legend of Red Cloud book reportedly refreshes this one. For those wishing to DW matching blades, this could be a good thing. And for those seeking less repetition, just avoid reading the book again; my own solution of choice.

...do the Blades really tell you to kill Paarthurnax? Even after all he and the Greybeards have done for the Dragonborn?

...

...well f*** those guys, then. Let them crawl back into the underside of history and fade back into obscurity - they don't deserve to even be a footnote if they're going to be like that. >:o

It's just bad writing. If anything, the Dragonborn should command the Blades to kill dragons, not the other way around.

Agreed. They're not the boss of me!...err...my Dragonborn.

I was annoyed that you had to go talk to Esbern or Delphine for the MQ to continue. Seriously? I had to have a big ole "Kill Paarthunax" quest in my log?

No way I would do that; he and Odahviing were my favorite characters in the entire game. Image IPB

Edited my previous post about a bug that I can use as an exploit.

I wish someone could verify that.

The Blades are just a forgotten page of history that no one missed - best to just leave them that way, because I don't need them in the slightest. I have plenty of help already for slaying dragons, and I need no protection either - I have all of Skyrim in the palm of my hand. I have the favor of so many people (including the High King) and factions (some of which I directly control) - I can go anywhere, do anything, and no one can touch me.

So bon voyage, Blades - back into obscurity with you.

I REALLY wanted to say to them:

"You are taking to the Thane of EVERY hold in Skyrim, the man known as STORMBLADE to the Nords, the Harbinger of the Companions, the Archmage of the College, the Guildmaster of the Thevies, OH AND THE BLOODY DRAGONBORN WHO YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FOLLOWING"

The Greybeards at least dont DEMAND that I follow their ideas.

^ True. The Greybeards are far cooler than I'd imagined they'd be.

So can you kill Delphine? I'd really like to. She was a turdbag to me in most of my dealings with her. Heck, she just stood there and let my character fight the dragon Alduin was resurrecting.

Abrupt subject change - I wish I could remember where I was  in my first playthrough, when I found vampires locked up in cages, by sorcerers. When I let them out, they attacked their captors. I'm longing to hear, "Out of my way, meat!".

Anyone know where that is?

Yeah. The Blades are silly. When they wanted me to kill the dragon you caught and who helped you, I just ignored that. You can still finish the game without that. That girl is irritating. ;)

Yes. I've just tried that on Ulfbert War-Bear (Warmaiden's shopkeeper in Whiterun).
Saved the game with his gold = 0 and then after quitting to desktop and reloading that save he had all his money back.

Probably every single shopkeeper in the game is bugged like that.

What have you already used?

But based soley on the Khajit presentation, I am thinking of a Rogue Assassin much like the one I hunted in Riftin. A dragon's wide ranging slaughter took him out for me, so evidently he hid fairly well.

Thanks. :)

Can you verify another merchant bug? It is a simple one.

Save the game. Sell at least one item to a merchant. Before you sell it check his money and remember the amount. Lets call that value X. Sell the item. Check his money again. We call that value Y. Now reload the game, but don't exit to Windows. Just reload the game. Check his money again. It should be equal to X, but it s not and it will be equal to Y.

That one is annoying me. Whenever I make a booboo, I have to exit to Windows and then reload the game, otherwise the merchant has less money to spend. ;)

College of Winterhold I believe. The quest where you retrive some books from rogue mages.
