I recently made the switch to heavy armor on my sneak archer and after casting muffle I don't make any noise. And at low levels everytime you cast the spell you will gain experience towards the next level and you can use that to put perks into other trees.

I'm not sure how useful silent roll will be for an archer as you don't need to be close to an enemy to kill them. When you're sneak is high you can sit in one spot and snipe. Enemies will even walk up to you and still not see you. And to get Silent Roll you have to have Light Foot which is a complete waste because you can see every trap when you're sneaking around. Silence sounds good, but if you're not sneaking you don't don't get the triple damage bonus with your bows so I wouldn't take that either.

But that's just my two cents on archery.

I do much more than just archery, though - I often go in for one-handed instakills, especially in situations where using a bow is impractical (of which there are many). Silent Roll and Silence are invaluable for this purpose.

I haven't used anything other than a bow on this playthrough and I haven't run into many problems. At level 20 I was one shotting almost everything in sneak mode. Bosses and Mini Bosses took about 7 arrows in sneak mode then. At level 33 the Dragon Priest in Valthume went down in 10 while sneaking with a 50% Bow Elixier I bought at an Alchemy Shop. And I haven't come across many areas where you can't sneak either. When I am detected I just back away, or sprint away if the situation calls for it, from my enemy so they can't hit me.

But to each his own. I took the 15x damage from daggers when my Archery skill was lower thinking it would be useful to me. I even carried around an enchanted Glass Dagger but ultimately the only use I got out of it was cutting down spider webs. Bows won out.

I've tried Alchemy and Enchantment, but grow weary of collecting ingredients and soul gems - especially ingredients, which stack up in my inventory and weigh me down.

Oh, and there's all the useless potions you end up making - but to what end, really? The only thing I used Alchemy for was to make a poison that I didn't entirely need and could've done (and do) just fine without.

I also never cared for enchantments, either - the soul gem hunting, trapping, recharging, etc. gets old after a while.

No, I prefer to arm myself with what I need and leave the rest to chance. Health and stamina potions can be found everywhere, and pre-enchanted items aren't in short supply either (I only need enchantments that fortify Smithing, anyway).

Where did you get that one? Tell me, tell me, tell me!

it's the reward for completing Meridia's quest.

Dawnbreaker is one of the most fun weapons in the game because when you kill undead sometimes there is a massive explosion that infects all nearby undead and makes them run in fear.

I'm running out of things to do so I'm thinking of starting a new character, a Khajiit Male. What skills do you guys think I should focus on?(I'm thinking a magic hybrid characters ie. Spellblade or something like that).

What have you already used?

But based soley on the Khajit presentation, I am thinking of a Rogue Assassin much like the one I hunted in Riftin. A dragon's wide ranging slaughter took him out for me, so evidently he hid fairly well.

My first one was Dark Elf Female Assassin so that's out of the question

If one thing in Skyrim is certain is that absolutely any class is fun to play. They all have their own uniqueness and they are all very viable as to beat anything in Master difficulty, as long as the perks were right for the class!

Stupid e.g., it would be stupid be an archer and invest in magic or two handed perks i/o archery/sneak. But any well built char can make the game easy and fun. I've probably decapitated more than 200 heads so far and I love it! (and playing different skills after all main ones are maxxed also is fun, challenging and rewarding with many extra perk points to play around - currently at level 60 I have some 6 unused perk points that I haven't decided where to spend since all I wanted I got)

Magic is useful for any character, especially restoration and conjuration. Destruction is also always very useful against enemies with elemental weakness.

A few perks that reduce mana cost for novice and apprentice spells is always a good investment.

If you believe you can handle the challenge, why not try a pure/ almost pure Mage? Either use Armor or Alteration perks for defense, Stealth for infilltration, and buff what Warrior or Rogue skills as you desire for personal flavor.

Personally, I do not know if I could give up Stealth for any build now; makes for so many great quest moments.

]Yeah I think the deal is that you have a lot of flexibility in how you build your own class- which is one of the best things about Skyrim.  Image IPB

I thought I'd be using magic on my stealthy archer, but have invested in Alchemy and am beginning to invest in Enchanting and find that that more than covers the (very nice) basics that are not already built into Sneak and Archery.  If I need some magic support like a summons, I'll use a staff.

AFAIK - Magic from staves appears to be based upon Magika score; FYI in case you want more umph....

So very cool to have waited until level 60 and a long timer Werewolf before going in quietly to Cidhna Mine! Poor Madanach and his minions had no chance this time! Awooooo!

Yeah, when I went into Cidhna Mine, as opposed to having the ability of going all wolfman on Madanach's ass, I ended up engaging him in a prolonged battle of attrition, dual wielding my 2 Pickaxes of Eminent WTF?!  Image IPB

Your way sounds so much better.

Here's how I've done it. To beat him you need a shiv. To buy a shiv there you need skooma. Pickpocket the guy you need to kill and get his skooma. Sneak away, buy the shiv and return to kill him. ;)

So shockingly just a normal dragon landed in front of me in the mages college.
So I then decided to punch it to death.

Then I realized that I am technically a teacher to some of these people.
Imagine how awesome it would be to have a teacher who can punch a dragon to death!

Random people from cities are DROPPING from the sky.
They'll be either saying a dialouge or "GUARDS!" and then they smack the ground and go bouncing back into the sky.
It scary sometimes cause Ill be walking around and someone will yell "GUARDS!" and the body shoots back into space.

And then I get a bounty for assault .:
I'm having to hide in a Forsworn camp.

In my first playthrough, one of the dragons that Alduin resurrects (can't remember the name right now) stalked me all over Skyrim after I killed it. It randomly fell from the sky directly into my path over and over for the rest of my playthrough, and even showed up in a dungeon once, with one wing blocking my path. I've also had several horses (not mine), bears, and frost trolls suddenly fall from the sky or go sailing over my head from nowhere.

It's a weird bug, but never did me any harm. That stinks you're getting assault charges for it though.

Well me being myself I would be screaming like a little girl if a dead dragon appeared in a cave/dungeon/grotto.
But I have over 8,000 gold on my head right now. And I spent a lot of money on houses (WHICH I CANT EVEN GET INTO ARRRGHH!)
and now I'm STILL stuck in this forsworn camp. And I get the occasional bounty for killing a guard (the ones who travel on the roads) and they come to the camp and try to kill me.
Ugh.
Stupid glitch! WHY CANT I BE NORMAL?!?:?

Also now the bodies are appearing at the camp, and then well.. it looks like I'm guilty cause some dont bounce back into space.:crying:

That seems to be their favorite hangout spot. You'll find that half the time you're there, there's a dragon attacking Winterhold.

Have you been to the Riverrun Trader yet?  A comely Imperial lass will give you a guided tour to the edge of town and show you where to go.

This is a fun mod.

As Marbatico suggested and I can atest it works, a good old Firebolt is awesome to get rid of stalking dead dragons and other stuff that fall from the sky! =)

As for your bounty, if you cannot pay or serve your sentence, use the console to clear it or you're pretty much screwed!

Uff, I'm happy I've reached my goal and now I can focus exclusively on the story and quests. Goal was have 500 base HP and 300 base Stamina which gives me 640 HP and 370 Stamina with my main gear items and a carrying capacity of almost 485 lbs also with main gear. Reached it at level 61 and now I won't be using my secondary skills that much, meaning this is prolly my final level until the end of the game which is still soooo far away, I think.

Surprinsingly enough, I have only 10 miscellaneous quests open. OTOH, I have some 35 major quests open and I'm sure there will be more to start but I'll be finishing these fast now! hehe

I can now use only my main gear again and save the superduper enchanted stealth/thieving/assassin gear for some eventual DB and TG quests. (I kill things much much faster with my superduper enchanted warrior gear anyway =)

I've explored it all but there are still some locations to be found. I've been to the extreme East, South and West of the map, where those invisible walls pop up the message "you cannot go that way". I surely would if I could! heh Far West gave me some cool visuals as I'm posting bellow. New Wallpaper! =) I'm not sure if i've reached the extreme North because it is the sea but that quest we take a boat to some location was cool and felt far away! heh Been a long time since I had a boat quest this cool!

I get the feeling that despite the long development time for Skyrim, that they cut quite a bit of content out. You see, I'm in the Palace of Kings, after having reclaimed the Pale and the Rift in the name of the Empire, but while Ulfric and Galmar still treat me as a random guy, the Jarls I deposed actually recognise me and tell me to sod off.

I felt kinda bad hearing Laila's dialog, since I'm a Thane of Riften and helped her clean out the city's corrupt elements. Still, a reunified Skyrim is worth a couple of Jarls with hurt feelings.

But since people are in a pic sharing mood:

Image IPB

I don't like to Dual Wield, but I needed a way to take Haldyn down quickly since he was likely to one hit me with a Dual Casted Lightning Spell. Couldn't risk a prolonged battle.

Also, I was at the College earlier and LOL. I don't know if it's intentional or not, but you know Colette or something... that Mage who keeps whining about how Restoration is a totally valid school of Magic?

She gathered all of the other teachers in the Hall of Elements and proceeded to give them a lecture on how Restoration is totally a valid school of Magic, talking about how it's not for Priests in the Temples. How Turn Undead can be really useful, for example.

But before she finishes her speech, all of the other Mages walk away!

I'm really impressed by the attention to detail sometimes.

Stabbing a guy wearing plate through his armour and lifting him in the sky. These finishers never fail to make me laugh.

Of course, it would be realistic if an Orc did it.
