Stabbing a guy wearing plate through his armour and lifting him in the sky. These finishers never fail to make me laugh.
Of course, it would be realistic if an Orc did it.
it is but its also more acceptable than: Hey i hit someone with an arrow and its exploded..
Whait i already seen this before!

Can we please use this thread for Skyrim discussion only and leave the DA2 bashing out of it.

FYI - For Thieves Guild members: before you finish the final TG Quest, one may delay completion and use the Skeleton Key on any lock. Uncertain how this worked in past TES games, but in Skyrim, one gains an unbreakable Lock Pick; very handy if one has yet to perform all the minor quests assigned by Devlon and Vex, as well as other missions where the mini-game may have you struggling.

As the name suggests, it's an awesome shader suite. I've tried to use some FXAA mods before, but they always hit me with like a ~5 fps hit and get all stuttery. I used this one and got only a 1-2 fps hit with no stutter.
Left is default, right is with the suite enabled:

Sure, a lot of the difference is due to the sharpening, but it really does work in making the game look like it has better detail and atmosphere. Personally, it's a little reminiscent of how The Witcher 2 is like when sharpened in terms of graphical detail.

Went to Windhelm last night to sell some loot, and somwhere running through the streets, the game finally gave me a pop-up and recognized that I had, in fact, "investigated the crime scene," and allowed me to continue the quest.
I did get a patch last night just prior on XBL. Any idea what that fixed? It certainly didn't fix the weapons racks in any of my homes, but I'll gladly take a patched-up quest as a consolation prize, to be sure.

Downloading now! That looks great. with a very minimal fps loss.

Yeeeesssssssssss! I finally got "Blood on the Ice" to break loose and trigger. I was stuck at the "investigate the crime scene" step for about 100 hours and could not continue the quest, so I just moved on.

Oh sweet!! I have to try that. That is the only Skyrim quest that has obviously bugged out on me (130+ hours on my character). I will have to revisit that area and check the scene out to see if it corrects for me as well. Thanks for the tip, maybe the patch fixed the issue.

IIRC, it was also like that in Oblivion.
Actually, that's not the last Guild mission - if you want to become Guild Master, you can keep going.

Hmm...
That's pretty great actually.
I'll definitely love to play with some of you guys, but I'll wait for a post beta. Still in alpha. Would probably have version conflict since I don't have updated my game and what are the servers like? NWN style, BF1942 style, Direct connect?

heh! I can see where this might fall apart with several Stealth archers all hiding in the ramparts, hills, crags, etc; eveyone afraid to move into view....

I suppose the blocking perk that deflects arrows would be helpful.

Received that title this morning; now to clean up some loose ends. There are a few TG related folks that are going missing in the near future, including a noble in Windhelm and a fence in Whiterun. And if it were in my power, I would get a new bartender for the Ragged Flagon, too; *miserable, insulting cuss*....

Just picked-up Shield Charge on the Blocking Tree...and OMG!...what a friggin' riot. Also just tacked on Disarming Bash...for goofs...LOL.
If you want hours of cheap entertainment, level-up that Block skill. I haven't even joined the rebellion yet, and am certainly not doing any organized questing at present...pretty much just wasting time sprinting across the centeral plains of Skyrim doing a little Forsworn and Bandit (or whatever else gets in the way) bowling. When I'm done playing, I'm definitely going to have to re-set the difficulty up again. Stupidly overpowered would be an understatement.

I've tried Alchemy and Enchantment, but grow weary of collecting ingredients and soul gems - especially ingredients, which stack up in my inventory and weigh me down.
Oh, and there's all the useless potions you end up making - but to what end, really? The only thing I used Alchemy for was to make a poison that I didn't entirely need and could've done (and do) just fine without.
I also never cared for enchantments, either - the soul gem hunting, trapping, recharging, etc. gets old after a while.
No, I prefer to arm myself with what I need and leave the rest to chance. Health and stamina potions can be found everywhere, and pre-enchanted items aren't in short supply either (I only need enchantments that fortify Smithing, anyway).
There is no useless potion- those are for selling. Alchemy is not as cheap as it was in Oblivion, but I prefer it that way. Eventually you come out ahead, but only if you put in your apprentice time.

Maybe. They would need a spokesperson for day to day things, after all. Or maybe he's the most powerful of them and able to control it better.virumor wrote...
Since Arngeir can talk to the Dragonborn without the Dragonborn blowing up, I'm guessing he's the schmuck among the Greybeards?

I felt kinda bad hearing Laila's dialog, since I'm a Thane of Riften and helped her clean out the city's corrupt elements. Still, a reunified Skyrim is worth a couple of Jarls with hurt feelings.
I felt pretty bad making an enemy of Balgruuf and Ingrod. The others, especially that skeever in Winterhold, I don't care about.
Oh man, you should hear Irileth. She says she sits around imagining ways to kill you. I love her, but... bring it, girl.
On detail in the world: One I liked was that I went into an inn once and a little girl said "ooh, pretty colors." I didn't realize what she was talking about until I remembered I had a Candlelight blob over my head.

"We are not supposed to play with fire!...IM TELLING!"
Then I had my fists out and a guard says:
"You think to approach ME with raised fists?"
The best was when they told me to knock off with the wards since me walking around like that was spooking people.
Bloody nords just dont appreciate the fine art of magic.
