I forgot I had a flame spell out and heard a little girl scream:
"We are not supposed to play with fire!...IM TELLING!"

It just now occurs to me that I must have done that too, because I remember a little girl saying that to me.

I've changed my mind. I DO love Jenassa. I ditched Faendal for her, and she's been a great help to my measly level 13 new character.

She did drop to her knees for no apparent reason (her health was at max), so I had to klunk her in the head with my bow, but other than that, it's pretty funny watching her dual wield. Total arse-kicker.

Plus, she looks really cute next to my Bosmer. They're wearing the same armor, and everything. Awww. Image IPB

Haven't had a chance to play in five days. Quite saddening, but then, Bethesda games don't seem to grab me like cocaine in the way they do for some of my friends, heh.

Loving the heck out of it though. Approaching the hundred-hour mark. Only doing a couple of guild questlines on this character because I'm one of those sticklers for maintaining a somewhat believable lead. My guy just won't get started with the Thieves' Guild because from what he's learned about them from the townsfolk, at least, they're not his sort of group. (Which makes it quite humorous seeing Brynjolf talking about how he sees some spark in me, and I'm like 'lolwut'. I accidentally initiated this questline, and when I showed up at the Ratway for something else, Brynjolf is all like 'he's the second coming!' And I'm like 'lol k, anyway I'm here for something else dude.')

Companions questline wasn't really my cup of tea. Not my sort of subject. Was looking forward to getting rid of that 'gift' I acquired ASAP. I mean, it wasn't a bad little plot as far as video gaming goes, but I've had way more fun running around exploring the world. Then again, I think that's a highlight for everyone.

Main quest is surprisingly decent this time around, though, and the sci-fi fan in me can't get enough of listening to Saul Tigh and Susan Ivanova during the civil war quests.

A good knock does wonders for most companions.  ^_^

^ Exactly. Image IPB

I had the guy run up to me and give me his sword to "hold on to" last night, not far outside of Whiterun. This time, it was actually an Orcish 1-handed sword, with stamina absorption. Color me impressed.

In my last playthrough, it was a crappy steel 2-handed sword with a weak fire enchantment. That stayed in my upstairs chest in Whiterun the entire game.

When I rescued the little girl for the Sybill of Dibella quest, she walked out of her cell and accidently walked over the beheaded corpse of the guy I just killed to free her. She so cutely exclaimed: "AHH! I stepped in Dead Body!

It's a good day to be Thieves Guild Master. Fences really do come in handy. Finally, I sold all the of extra potions sitting in the Alchemy Lab. 100000 easy gold.

Kinda wish I could open a bank in Solitude.

If one thing in Skyrim is certain is that absolutely any class is fun to play. They all have their own uniqueness and they are all very viable as to beat anything in Master difficulty, as long as the perks were right for the class!

Pfft pure Mage needs work.

hmm.. a pure mage with high level in a combo of magic schools should do very well, shouldn't it? There are some amazing spells and staves. Maybe summoned Daedras and Wabbajacking everything would work? I wouldn't know much though. I'm no caster and I hate playing mages! I do use Transmute and Healing spells but that's it.

Casting muffle? Why? I have Muffle and +48%sneak on my self made light assassin boots! As Sandal would say... Enchantment!!! Image IPB

I think it does. It works very well for my mage Dunmer. So far, investing in different schools of magic has worked really well for that protagonist. You can cast Dragonhide with Alteration to offer good protection if your character is wearing mage attire or cast mass paralysis to deal with a plethora of enemies, you can banish or command summoned daedra or summon your own (such as summoning two Dremora Lords) to fight at your side, the destruction spells still work against enemies at high levels (as I've used Incinerate to deal damage to Ancient Dragons and stay at a distance to keep from getting chewed on and spit out), and you can become invisible or cast mayhem to get even Draugr Deathlords to fight amongst each other.

I usually get weighed down with crappy potions or poisons I've made, and by the time I'm over-encumbered, come to that realization. Surely there's no need to carry 200 lbs. worth of Resist Frost, is there?

I thought the fences had a 4000 septim (or thereabouts) limit - did you spread that over a few game days?

Since Arngeir can talk to the Dragonborn without the Dragonborn blowing up, I'm guessing he's the schmuck among the Greybeards?

I mean, there's thunder in the air when the other Greybeards bother to utter a single word.

I suppose it's possible that Arngeir isn't as powerful as the others, since it seems like an earthquake is taking place when the others formally recognize you as "Dragonborn." Along with the "Dovahkiin" heard across Skyrim after the protagonist defeats the dragon Mirmulnir.

I only carry about 58 lbs. of gear with me at a time thanks to the Weightless Armor Perk. There was a time though that I carried around about 100 lbs. worth of potions because I believed I would use them at some point. Moving from Whiterun to Solitude really helped me organize my inventory.

And yes I traveled to different fences selling potions. It took about a week and a half in game time. It would have been impossible to sell them to merchants without taking severe hits in profit and selling only one at a time would have driven me insane. Fences are the way to go.

^ Gotcha. I hear that.

Hey, have any of you guys encountered Vulthuryol in Blackreach? Apparently you can use Unrelenting Force on the glowy orb to summon him. I didn't even know you could do this.

If you don't know who/what he is, I'm not going to spoil it. Image IPB

...well f*** those guys, then. Let them crawl back into the underside of history and fade back into obscurity - they don't deserve to even be a footnote if they're going to be like that. >:o

It's just bad writing. If anything, the Dragonborn should command the Blades to kill dragons, not the other way around.

Bad writing? No, the blades can't kill dragons anyway, only dovahkiin....Delphine's just a stubborn ****.

But after hearing people say the MQ was short....I was surprised. It was very long (at least for me). I don't think I could do it again, though because of that....to much traveling especially towards the end.

Those mushrooms in Blackreach must have done something freaky to me.

First it started SNOWING in there.
Then a GIANT was walking around the place, and battled a Centurion.
Finally a dragon did attack me, though I knew that rumor before hand.

Also I did finish Return to your Roots, that was such a freaking awesome quest and it made me smile remembering Sinderion.
I think that Blackreach is one of the cooler places to visit overall.

I noticed that it started snowing when I entered one of the rooms that is supposed to allow Blackreach to be accessible from another ruin, and I was very surprised to see a giant casually strolling around as though he owned the place the first time it happened.

You know in comparison to most "monster" type foes we face in Skyrim...I kind of feel a bit of pity for the Falmer.

I do love how they were brought into the game though when they were only talked about in the Bloodmoon expac....but even with their "evilness" I do still pity them.

Its like what Karliah said "the dwarves were a cruel race".

I know that they are basically goblins but I do applaud Bethesda for making them at least some what sympathetic.

I agree; what happened to the Snow Elves was very tragic. I believe the protagonist can echo this sentiment about what happened to the Snow Elves, when the subject of the Falmer is brought up (in another quest).

I kind of miss Jenassa since I ditched her for Erik the Slayer.  She did come to my wedding, though.  Image IPB (to Balimund)

Had so much fun on the Cachelmo mission for the Thieves' Guild.  First of all- pet spider!!!!  I wanted to take it hoooome.  Then I got further into the ruins and realized I was going to have to jump somewhere Jenassa wouldn't be able to follow me, so I told her to wait at the entrance.  On part of the mission you can turn on the Dwemer defenses to fight the Falmer, so I come out and see a Sphere and a Falmer fighting each other right in front of Jenassa.  She and I watched the fight and then she reached out and dispatched the winner with one sword swipe (the Falmer).  Score one for the team.

I'll attempt to take some photos of them tonight. I'm on XBox, so it'll be sad and lame, all at the same time, but truly, they look cute next to each other.

You married Balimund? I love him! I wasn't aware you could marry him. I'll try not to copy you, now that I know that, but it will be difficult!
I still think it's b.s. that I can't have anyone in the TG. Etienne. Image IPB

In my game, my face is invisible whenever I wear Morokei with my Arch-mage robes. I don't know if its a bug or a fun little Easter egg, but its pretty cool.

HA!  Yeah.  For even more fun, look for opportunities to find groups of clustering enemies (4 or 5), then head straight for 'em.  Epic.  Has to be the most hilarious "skill" in the game.

Can't wait to use it on some of those pyro and necromages (Ha Ha, Ha Ha, I have Elemental Protection -- spam all the fireballs you want).

I know.  But I came to terms with that disappointment.  lol  It's hard for me to choose which one I like best down there- maybe Rune.

Balimund is a sweetheart, though.  If you tell him you want to live at his house, he'll stay on as smith.  I waxed lyrical about him on my tumblr, here and here.
