Does anyone have a decent screenshot of what to expect? All I've seen was a Khajiit which isn't very relatable to my Altmer.

Not to mention it is likely that the Dragonborn is an avatar of Talos, since the ghost in Old Hroldan calls your character "Hjalti".

I was attacked tonight by two frost dragons at once. And on top of it, some very powerful wizard named Krosis had an apparent dislike for me at the exact same time. I spent 15 minutes playing defense on my toes, hiding, exhausting potions, using ever ounce of my current inventory. And that was just defense. This fight was refreshingly hard.
I died twice.
I think I died about 10 times the first time I encountered Krosis before I decided to just steal the word of power, use Ethereal Form and then jump off the mountain to escape. I went back much later and got some payback, however.

On Master, I had a much more difficult time completing Bleak Falls Barrow as a pure warrior than as a pure mage. (probably due primarily to the fact that my warrior has absolutely zero ranged attacks)
I was playing a Breton mage who starts out with Conjure Familiar, and I used the heck out of that spell. It realy helped when I got to level 2 or 3 and got the perk that reduces conjuration spell magicka cost.
I would imagine the easiest type of character build would be any sort of hybrid, who uses combination of archery/stealth + magic or battlemage who uses weapons, enchanting, etc. + spells.
It has been really challenging playing as a pure stealth or pure warrior who doesn't use any spells or enchanting whatsoever. Pure mage is certainly not a cakewalk, either, however.

I'm considering getting a good ol' fashioned case of vampirism and a friend of mine mentioned that the vampire facial changes are lot better now.

So far all I have noticed is that at stage 3 and 4 your facial wrinkles are more severe but not ugly. You just look older and your face looks like you went and wallowed in a dirt pile. Very dusty and dirt smugged. But as soon as you go back to Stage 1 you go back to your normal appearance.
I wish I could take screenshot but alas I am on the Xbox. Now there is a bug on the PC with vampirism the first time you go into stage 4 that will not change you back to your normal face once you feed. My husband had that happen to him. I guess in the console he noticed that for some reason when it was supposed to turn you back the game code was selecting the regular race tag when it was supposed to be selecting race_vampire tag. The fix for it is on the Elder Scrolls wiki and it only happened that one time after he fixed it.

True Warriors can learn Enchanting. In other games, like Risen, enchanting is just a perk of Smithing. I see it as the same in Skyrim. It is a type of magic but totally different from casting spells. Although my blade is a plain Nord Hero Greatsword, I like my enchanted gear and I have an enchanted Ebony Greatsword to burn and collect souls when needed. Oh, I also use lots of Healing and Healing Hands. Feels a bit like a Paladin. =)
P.S: I had not much difficulty on Master in Bleak Falls Barrows and I was a pure low level warrior then. Greatsword owns with the perks for damage and critical strike chance.

But I agree that hybrid is definately the most fun to play.
Currently I have all the perks on the heavy armour skills, bar reflect damage. Smithing is in the high 90's...mmm Legendary Daedric Armour and swords. And One handedskills I have all the perks maxed out with the exception of paralyzing strike and the perks for maces and axes, as I don't use them.
The only issues which can arise are with getting mobbed by high level enemies as I can't block or when the dragons don't land. I had an epic fight ontop of the mages college in Winterhold with a Frost Dragon...sooo much fun, I think its body's still in the courtyard actually.
To complete my character I think I'll move up what's left of the enchanting skill tree then boost archery and speech craft which seem to be the only things I'm lacking at the moment. With the current armour I have I seem to be able to shrug off most things thrown at me, until I can craft charms on my armour and amulets. I probably make another character, maybe pure mage or light armoured rogue, but I've still got quite a lot to cover as a warrior.

If you can, that's awesome, but I'm too much of a ditz.
I am right there with you when it comes to having to remember all of the details. I always have to write stuff down and constantly reference it. I guess I am getting old. hehe But like I said before, I do not use most of the extra spells, etc. and only have it for the sneak/resist bonuses. All I have to remember is feed before fast travel so that I do not get attacked by the townsfolk. Other than that I just use Vampire's Sight and the bonuses.

I played as a vampire, but then stopped,
b/c it was so frustrating having to go outside on day time. Your
health, stamina and magicka wouldn't regenerate, and you get 20% of from
them with each stage. On night time it's a different story.
But I prefer werewolf. They're cool.
Being outside during the day does kind of hose you initially because you do not regen but once you can make/buy regen gear or potions then it is no big deal. Before I became a vampire, I found that I was always having to wait 10+ hours when I wanted to sell because for some reason whenever my character reaches a town it is always night time. Even running around looking for stuff outside or heading to a dungeon it is inevitably night time. So the disadvantages of being outside in the day time are not that big of a deal for me. I guess I am just a vampire by heart and did not realize it.

Quick question:
I want to know, is there anyway to decrease the cost of the Solitude Manor, paid 25k for it lol. Just wondering before I play my next marathon is there anyway to get the cost reduced so as to save some gold, or was my 25k investment what stands. Thanks.
Only $25k? I dumped $76k into that sucker before even looking at it and if I ever get through my first play-through sometime before April and start another one. I will only be buying it for the Thane role. That house is completely laid out wrong and I HATE Solitude except that you can buy Daedric arrows there. And to answer your question, No the base price of the houses are not haggle material. ;( I wish, I am walking around with 100% increase with Haggle gear and it did not make a difference.
I still have to get the house in Windhelm but I just found out from my hubby that you have to do the Civil War quest to get so that is going to be a while. Without a doubt that is the one I lust after. It has more bookshelves, it is spacious and laid out well. I am heartbroken that I have to wait but there is too much to do before starting the Civil War path.Riften and Whiterun will have to do until then. Although I do not know what the Markarth house looks like. Another town I think needs to be blown off of the map.
Someone mentioned before about how easy it is to get money, not when you have 5 houses, enchanting, alchemy, Ebony/Daedric arrows to buy and a ton of Merchants to invest in. *LOL*
Where do you buy arrows in Solitude??
I also dislike Proudspire Manor. Markarth is nice, though somewhat small and dark compared to Hjerim.
When you first walk into Solitude, go past the Alchemy shop on your left and there is a ramp that leads up to a second lvl. The Blacksmith and The Fletcher are up there. So far (since lvl 40ish) that Fletcher is the only Merchant in all of Skyrim that I have found that sells Daedric arrows. He is about the only reason I go there unless I have a quest.

Have you gone into your shouts menu to see if you had gained a soul anyway, it may have just skipped the animations.
Anyway, IF you have the PC version, open the console hitting the tilde button, then type (no quotes)
"player.forceav dragonsouls 1" (note the spaces) and you will have the soul, then click on the dead dragon and type "disable" (no quotes).

There are a some dragons that will not give us their souls. I imagine it is because they are respawns. Happend to me twice with each char so it's not common either, and only when I went back to some of the Dragon spawn points after having cleared it a while back
Not happened with any Dragon ambush/ random attack though. All those gave their souls nicely and fast!

Yeah I think its from respawns in the dragon lairs. Still get the bones and scales though.

Are you using Patch 1.3? This was one of the issues that was supposed to be resolved by the patch.
I experienced this once with Patch 1.1, but I haven't since updating.

EDIT: You know, that's something I notice - a lot of the more notorious glitches like backwards flying dragons and raining mammoths have only happened to me once, yet they get blown up on forums as if they're game-breaking plagues.
Humans never cease to find something and exaggerate the hell out of it. *sighs*

It's actually still unclear whether The Arcturian Heresy is true or not. Like many things in the lore, it's ambiguous. According to the Arcturian Heresy that comes up with the trinity theory, Tiber Septim was an opportunist and a fraud. If anything, Skyrim seems to confirm that Tiber Septim was actually the real deal.
Not to mention it is likely that the Dragonborn is an avatar of Talos, since the ghost in Old Hroldan calls your character "Hjalti".
I'm not sure I want to understand it all. It's like The Golden Path in Dune. Frank dude, I love your world, but not enough to try to wrap my mind around stuff I'm pretty sure was conceived while under the influence of mind altering substances.

I managed to fix the problem by reloading an earlier save a little while before the dragon spawned (it was a random dragon). So I'll just chalk it up to a one-time thing and hope it doesn't happen again.

And forumites will rage. It's what they do. To read Bethsoft forum, you'd think this game was... well... I won't say it.
My funny/ frustrating moment of the day: After going through this long dungeon, we get hit by a gate trap. I was only dinged, so I save my game, then turn around to see Kharjo dead on the floor. Because I had just saved, I lost the whole damn dungeon. I couldn't just let him die, though I considered it. The funny thing is that he was frostbitten and green from paralysis- his blade has frost and paralysis enchantments on it- dude literally fell on his own sword. XD

*This is my first post in this thread, and my first time on the forums in forever, so if I'm missing something, sorry*
Although it takes a lot longer, there is a way to get daedric arrows completely free, without stealing.
If you have a follower who uses bows, equip them with 1 daedric arrows. The game treats it as an infinite supply for them, and as they shoot enemies, you can loot the arrows as you see fit.
This, really, is how i've gotten all of my arrows.
