I was a Werewolf to start because of my joining up with the Companions. I loved not being able to be diseased or poisoned but the other abilities were not really worth it for my playstyle. You cannot access any of the menus and you are stuck that way without heals (other than feeding while you are fighting) for 2 mins. Unlike being a Werewolf where if you cure yourself you can never be a werewolf again, you can cure Vampirism through a quest and become a vampire again later if you want it back.

Werewolves can be poisoned, the Falmer in Illmater's Deep were doing a fine job of it on me.

I thought the wolf would compliment the mages build I had. Figured, run out of magicka and then go wolf. Problem is the wolf transformation takes forever and I've bee killed several times trying to make that shift in combat, it doesn't appear to help develop any skills while transformed, there's really no better immunities to anything and the inability to heal effectively is a big downer. I gained the Beast Form insanely early on and looking back wish I hadn't really done so.

AIDS AIDS ADIS!!!!!!! i was finishing the riften special quest i left the bandit hideout and shadowmere was dead and my most receant save where he was alive was an hour and forty minuets erlier.and trust me im not just making stuff up its just the game is mad at more for some reason.:pinched:

Obvious advice: try quicksaving frequently.

I picked up the Limited Collector's addition Xbox with the 320 GB hard drive at Target, they only had them availbe for $299 for like the first week they were out. I actually got it before Skyrim came out because my older Xbox started getting worn out.

All I can say is "Thank God!", I started out with saving like I did with DA 4 rotating hard saves after 5 to 10 quicksaves on one hard saves (I usually quicksave every 15 mins to one hard save before rotating to the bottom). I also quicksave to my current hard save immediately before and after when entering/exiting a dialogue/fight scene.) But with Skyrim since patch 1.2 with the occasional bug or crashing during game play I do not overwrite at all. I probally have 200+ saves that start around level 43. When I am done with this character I will erase all of them but the last save before I start my second playthrough but I will tell you doing it this way has saved me hours of redoing something more than once. (I hope this makes sense, it is kind of hard to explain in text heh)

The TG Larceny Objects bug lost me quite a lot of game play but because I have been keeping all of my past hard saves I was able to go back instead of having to start from scratch.

If you have the space I would definitely recommend this. If you do not, I would suggest at least keeping 10 hard saves and rotating through them every time you have qicksaved on one hard save line 5 times. You can do a lot in 30 minutes so only letting the auto save funtion do your saving or even quick saving will eventually bring some frustration.

After the Windhelm bug where you cannot get the Blood On The Ice quest that makes it possible to buy the house in Windhelm if you have started the DBH quests and the Civil War quests simultaneously. The one where you cannot get the initiation scene that starts the quest, my husband has seen the light to my psychotic saving methods.

^ I started a new playthrough on Saturday, and just went into Windhelm for the first time last night. I literally just arrived, walked around the corner to the graveyard, and Blood on the Ice triggered. Woo!

I didn't have any issues with that triggering in my first playthrough, but it never triggered for my husband...he's still on his first playthrough, and is only level 37. Tsk tsk.

My funny/ frustrating moment of the day: After going through this long dungeon, we get hit by a gate trap. I was only dinged, so I save my game, then turn around to see Kharjo dead on the floor. Because I had just saved, I lost the whole damn dungeon. I couldn't just let him die, though I considered it. The funny thing is that he was frostbitten and green from paralysis- his blade has frost and paralysis enchantments on it- dude literally fell on his own sword. XD

Aww, that would make me very sad. I don't know what it is, but seeing Khajiit die or dead pokes me in a very squishy place in my heart.

I've been toting Kharjo around, too. I think he's my new favorite follower, although he's quite slow, compared to my Altmer. And short.

My husband whirlwinded through his first play-through and when he started on the second on he went to Windhelm first this time too. I say whirlwind but he did not realize he was missing out on a lot of stuff. He thought I was just not playing as much as him because of being busy with the kids, etc. Basically he thought I was going slow until he saw my completed quest list and he did not have half of that stuff on his. Also when he finished his first game he was only lvl 48 and he was trying to figure out how I was lvl 55. This time around he is trying to find more than what I have just on my first play-through. *LOL*

He has been one of my favourite as well. Although, have you noticed he is a chicken when it comes to fights yet? He is 'Mr. Guns A Blazen' once you have started into a fight (he is very good at sneaking and not attacking until you come out in the open) but once he gets hit, he either runs or starts squealing "NOT IN THE FACE! NOT IN THE FACE!" It is quite amusing.

Addai-Well if the Foresworn are on their own side why kill any and everyone that comes by that isn't one of them? After all one of them could be a potential ally and want to help them out?

The Forsworn worship Hagravens, reanimate their dead with witchcraft to make them better warriors and want to paint the walls red with nord and foreigner blood. Those people are freaking crazy.

If you're not one of them, you're against them. The typical fanatic mindset. There is no in between

You are correct, I did not find that out until I was actually a werewolf for a while because I mis-read the Guide book. They cannot be diseased but yes they most certainly can be poisoned. :) Another reason why I love being a vampire, they are immuned to both. In the higher lvl dungeons this has been a real life saver. I have had followers drop to their knees from the poison darts and I am still going strong.

I went to Windhelm, because I was on a mission to find Kharjo. I'd retrieved his amulet, and knew I wanted him as a follower, and that's where he was headed. I more or less turned around and left after I'd dumped off some loot, but I'll be back, Butcher!

LOL How do you whirlwind Skyrim? I stopped my first playthrough at 300 hours ~ roughly level 53. I had open quests remaining, but I wanted to try out another character. Now I'm on my fourth character, but the second and third are more or less just placeholders, until I get back to them (one is an archer, one a warrior, and this one is a mage). I'll likely create a Khajiit thief/assassin for a fifth.

Maybe 'whirlwind' is the wrong term. He did a lot  of quests but he thought he had completed most of the quests at week 4 and started a new playthrough as a pure archer thief. And then noticed while watching me play for a bit that my completed quest list was probably half again as large as his first play-through AND I was much higher lvl. That is when he realized he had missed quite a bit.

I have a bad completionist habit of trying to get ALL of the map markers, and talk to every single NPC, so I understand where you're coming from. My husband thought I was speeding through the game too, until he saw my completed quest list.

I am lvl 63 and I still have not touched the Civil War Quest and I am only just past the Diplomatic Immunity in Main Quest. My To-do quest list is still insane with all of the stuff I have to complete and I know there is way more out there. The only reason I started on the Diplomatic Immunity quest was I needed that quest to get my last Stone Of Barenziah for the TG crown.

Btw, The Prowler's Profit perk you get is AMAZING! Every chest is a gem extravaganza now. There are probably 3 to 5 gems in each chest or urn you loot after you get that perk from the TG quest.

That's awesome; it sounds like you're really enjoying Skyrim. Honestly, it's been a super long time since I've poured my (life) into a game like this.

I haven't gotten that PP perk yet; my Khajiit will be thrilled! Honestly, each of my characters will join every faction anyway, so I probably don't need to label one as a thief. They all are.

I spent a few months playing DA:O prior to Skyrim... which is looking to occupy the same amount of time DA did at this rate. LOL.

Only other games I've invested as much or more time in are Morrowind and Ocarina of Time. Now all I need is one more time devouring game and I can make a Top 5 list.

^ I had picked up Lost Odyssey again, right before Skyrim came out, invested 80 hours into it, (and one full disc left to go), before stopping to play Skyrim. I thought THAT was a lot of time for one playthrough of a game. Boy, was I wrong.

I do need to go back and finish that, but frankly...Seth and Kaim will just have to wait. Dovahkiin is a little busy at the moment.

Exact same as me except I'm only level 38 after 70 hours of play. I've made the decision that I'm no longer fast travelling unless I absolutely have to because I want this run through to last as long as possible, I'd rather have one character than several. I even went for a random walk along a river last night because I felt like just exploring rather than questing, watched the sun set as I walked, fought a dragon and returned to Riverwood with an enchanted katana.

Whats the Prowlers Profit perk? I don't seem to have got that at all.

Yeah, I'll second that one.  Hell, each DLC alone was bigger than most  AAA base games (especially Old World Blues and Lonesome Road).  Definitely in my personal Top 5.  On a side note: even though I'm nowhere near done with my first playthrough of Skyrim (250 hours and counting), I cannot wait to see what they have in store for DLC.

^ See now, that's what I'm talking about. I answered a poll yesterday about whether or not people are tired of Skyrim.

I think you have to play at least 200 hours in one playthrough to even get a taste of what is out there. People that played for under 100 hours and quit really didn't give it a chance.

Apparently I have been assimilated (or is it indoctrinated?) Image IPB

Just a theory here:

IF Talos did become a god, and if he was Dragonborn in the same way that the PC is in Skyrim, perhaps that is what is in store for the Dragonborn.

Then again they did it with the Oblivion PC so twice in a row may be a bit silly.
Though it would be funny if it did happen just to tweak the nose of the Thalmor.

Played straight that could be THREE humans who became gods...when none of them have.
Talos, the Champion of Cyrodil, and the Dragonborn of Skyrim.

Nerevarine apparently encountered Wulfarth (Talos) in Morrowind, and the Champion of Cyrodiil can receive a blessing from Talos if he restores the Knights of the Nine.

I suppose the apotheosis of Talos could depend on whether Wulfarth, Tiber Septim, and Zurin Arctus effectively became Talos, according to "The Arcturian Heresy," rather than simply Talos Stormcrown.

Actually playing over 200 hours is basically beating a great deal of it if you are thorough. The only real replay value I can get out of it with the game is mostly gameplay differences. I'm not necessarily tired with it right now but I'm mostly playing it just to clear out some dungeons. Hell the Dwarven ruins are starting to annoy me since I just want to get these dungeon clearing quests for item x quickly since there is usually no actual story in it lol.

It really isn't indoctrination but its just the want to constantly clear out dungeons. So far I'm just attempting to get the Daedric artifacts. Probably play this again as a pure mage. Soon after my 2nd playthrough they need some dlc soon dammit!

Well, ok, it does depend on how you play. I'm a bit of a completionist, and was driven by changing map locations from black to white.
