AIDS AIDS ADIS!!!!!!! i was finishing the riften special quest i left the bandit hideout and shadowmere was dead and my most receant save where he was alive was an hour and forty minuets erlier.and trust me im not just making stuff up its just the game is mad at more for some reason.:pinched:

Obvious advice: try quicksaving frequently.

That there inlies the problem,since when i had 3 auto's and 2 saves out of my 3 save rotation were all within 15 minuets of eachother and all after shadowmere died.So yea i will probably change 1 auto from ever 5 minuets back to every 15 minuets. also since you can say aids and not get in trouble for it since its not a curse word(it is fround apon)so, aids aids AIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dammit I hate being a squishy mage, I was so used to running in and chopping stuff to death with a battle axe as my warrior but with my Breton Mage I charged towards a Draugr Deathlord and he King-Harold-ed me with one shot.

Let me see....

* Old scholar that has hidden in the sewers of Riftin, and a tavern wench from Riverwood.
vs
* Most powerful spellcaster in the world, and is willing to talk to a novice..

*WINNER* Plus, I hate being pushed into decisions, so the Blades may not get to see final face time with me for some time.

Am alone in preferring to try take on a dungeon or cave alone with no follower?

My follower sometimes gets in the way and a few times I had to make them stay sooo far away because the last time I made them stay, they just showed up and stole my kills!

But I will say this, having them wait outside is great because after I'm done, I come back to load them up with goodies from the dead. Good packrat. Aw....I miss the actual pack rats!

for a time I had a dog and follower. The dog was just too much to try and manage. Always in the way and always taking friendly fire.

As a "softer" build I don't feel comfortable soloing things but the followers are usually in the way an awful lot and really hinder things like shouts where they always seem in the way.

Based on observation, invest in either Armor or Alteration. Personally I prefer the former, as I like 24/7 defense vs a couple of minutes, and wish to use Magika for offense and misc castings.

I feel your pain. At least now the Breton magic resistance is working again; I was trying to play with that broken. It was almost comical how quickly my poor Breton turned into a pin cushion.

My new character is an Altmer pure mage. I found out quite quickly that one hit from a giant = my mage flying through the air, and landing with a "splat". Fail. All of that for Gleda, the goat.

You really should try this, just once:

* Lucien LaChance (shadow assassin)
* Dog follower - Barbas if you want an annoying, non-killable dog that pushes you off cliffs, and barks too much.
* Regular follower - Mjoll, if you want a tank, and your ear talked off.
* Conjured follower or thrall (atronach, Dremora, Familiar) - 2 if you have the perk.
* Shadowmere
* Anything I'm missing?
* You could also try adding an atronach scroll.

^ I was hoping she'd actually join in the fight, so I brought her along for a while. She hid any time there was an enemy.

I feel your pain.  As a stealthy archer you're Death from the shadows, but if you get mobbed you get a vivid reminder that you've got nothing on.  No trap ever one-shotted my heavy armor battle mage.

Addai-Well if the Foresworn are on their own side why kill any and everyone that comes by that isn't one of them? After all one of them could be a potential ally and want to help them out?

I had hoped they would, even that I could form some kind of political alliance with Madanach against the empire.  This was before I knew most of their hatred was towards the Nords.  I'm sure it's just for gameplay reasons, they wanted another enemy in the game, but I also wouldn't be surprised if their daedric rituals have just driven them mad.

@Redneck1st - Read the book "Madmen of the Reach" in order to get a clearer picture of the Forsworn and their overall stance towards both the Nords and the Empire. They are a friend to neither, and seek to drive them both out of "their" lands.

I say they should be wiped out - they're nothing but a ravenous band of barbarians who worship Hagravens and practice other such atrocities.

I'm finding I had more fun with my mage than my current character. So many more options in combat rather than "lol, bash bash!" or "lol I'ma shootin my arrows".

The book "Bear of Markarth" shows you're wrong. It mentions that Madanach's reign was peaceful and prosperous, and the Empire even would planned to make a treaty with them and let them have their own kingdom. Until Ulfric came and killed everyone.

I appreciate Madanach and his Forsworn for their honesty, while I despite Ulfric for being a hypocritic coward.

"The Bear of Markarth" is written by an Imperial from a clearly pro-Empire point of view, and seems to play fast and loose with the facts in order to make Ulfric look like a monster.

"Madmen of the Reach", on the other hand, is also written by an Imperial - and contradicts what is written in "Bear of Markarth" regarding Madanach and the Forsworn.

But I will say no more - you have already made up your mind about Ulfric, and I have already made up mine. It profits no one to continue this debate.

EDIT: Oh, would you look at that - Bear of Markarth and Madmen of the Reach are written by the same scholar:

www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:The_Bear_of_Markarth

www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_%22Madmen%22_of_the_Reach

There's an Imperial scholar out there who doesn't seem to have their "facts" straight.

Anyone else finding the area inside the gates of Whiterun is becoming a tad overpopulated with people who probably aren't supposed to be there? After I finished the quest with Alikh'r they showed up there again and are just loafing around, I can't interact with them they are just like guards. Now theres a trio of Imperial soldiers hanging around the same area beside them, same story with them and they keep getting in the way of the Whiterun guards who just ignore them.

Yeah I've noticed them too, I'm tempted to kill them and hide their bodies as if nothing ever happened but I'll end up with a bounty.

A quick question are the dragons that can change the weather supposed to fight you, 'cause I try and approach them and they just fly off all the time?
