My Azura Star only accepts black soul gems. I like soul trapping enemies, but when I need a black soul I'll murder an innocent. I'm a Necromancer and Master of Conjuration and Destruction...Arch-Mage of Skyrim and Dragonborn. My Speechcraft is pure honey. I deceive with Illusion.

I am a terrible, unstoppable power. But I am fair. I am grounded. I can put on a ragged robe and hide in anonymity. I only take from the innocent when need arises. When need arises, there is zero hesitation.

I often will Calm them into Illusion of security, so their passing is peaceful. Torment to non-foes is cruel.

The game's opener makes that whole "hey why not join the legion" incredibly awkward.  I also don't know why my orc would volunteer to show up at Tullius' headquarters, given her history with him.  She could expect to be clapped in irons.

Orcs have guts!

I just alternate between Health and Stamina on each level-up. I'm not sure if that's the "best" way to handle it, but it works well enough for me.

Alright, thanks.

@sympathy:

Black Souls? I'm doing that quest right now and I thought the Azura's Star only accepts white souls. The Black Star seems utterly superior from a gameplay perspective, but in-character you do not ever ever want to get on Azura's bad side.

You can perform a power attack as long as you have 1 point in stamina. Hence, put all points in health and make lots of vegetable soup.

Not to mention that stamina potions are plentiful.

Why? She has no more power over Mundus after Vivec stuffed her mouth with Muatra and made her explode.

I would feel pretty bad actually if I pissed off Azura. It's only because of her that Morrowind rid itself of Dagoth Ur and the Blight that would've surely consumed everything if left unchecked.

Of course, the Blight would go on to nearly destroy Thedas five times, so I guess someone still lost out in the end...

...or am I getting my fictional universes mixed up? I forget.

Azura has no power.on Mundus....
Image IPB

Morrowind AND Tribunal was Azura using the Nerevarine as a blunt instrument to tear down the Tribunal.
Then in Skyrim we see her drive a dude totally out of his mind and have him kill people.

Azura may not be as extreme as Dagon or Bal but she out of all of them scares the crap out of me the most.

Azura isn't all that great. She can't even tell what item is in a box or not :P.

Yeah when doing that quest I was given two choices. I chose (SPOILERS) to talk to a man in Winterhold who could repair the star. I literally went into the star itself to destroy the soul of a man who trapped his own soul in there so he could defy the daedra and be immortal. Let's just say he's immortal no more!!!

Virumor is actually referring to The Trial of Vivec where a bunch of devs, ex-devs and TES forumers mucked around and did an online role-play of a hypothetical Trial of Vivec after the events of Morrowind and Tribunal.

Conclusion - Vivec is a BAWZ.

She had nothing to do with the defeat of Dagoth Ur. She had always been a vengeful, petty Daedra that wanted to destroy the Tribunal for gaining the worship of the Dunmer and therefore invented her self-fulfilling Prophecy of the Nerevarine until one day someone would fulfill them (notice all the Failed Nerevarines in the Cavern of the Incarnate).

On first glance, Azura seems sympathetic and benevolent as far as Daedra go, but she really isn't.

Exactly the reason you don't wanna ****** her off.

Well, a Daedra is still a Daedra, I suppose.

Still, I'm more inclined to view Azura in a slightly more favorable light than the other Daedric Lords. Regardless of her motives, Dagoth Ur is dead, the rise of the Sixth House crushed, and the Blight stopped before it could truly start (lulz).

She's still nowhere near as awesome as Sanguine and Sheogorath, though. LOL.

I'm playing an Argonian battlemage and it's pretty difficult at first but you catch on quickly. Anyone here play an Orc mage on Master?

As with me on Tullius, Ulfric and that Thalmor college inspector.

****ing Thalmor.

They send assassins to kill you when all I did was kill Ancano...who was seriously screwing with the timey wimey field? Bastards.
I almost feel bad for people who are ordered to go after the Dragonborn.

Yeah, I feel sorry for anyone ordered to go after the Dragonborn as well...well, anyone other than Thalmor.

I remember I took on three hired thugs in an Orc stronghold once. It was one of the best battles I've ever fought in the game so far - well, short of the "Battle of Riften", where I took on four bears, two Frostbite spiders, and two Conjurers at the same time as a werewolf. That s*** was epic.

Two bears holding their own against an Elder Dragon (for a while at least) will never not look weird.

Level scaling ftw.

I honestly wonder if M'aiq is not some god or something who was watching the Nerevarine, Champion, and Dragonborn....

I mean he shows up over 200 years of history with lots of awesome things to say.
"M'aiq has heard that the people of Skyrim are better looking than the ones in Cyrodiil. He has no opinion on the matter. All people are beautiful to him."
"M'aiq does not understand what is so impressive about shouting. M'aiq can shout whenever he wants."
"M'aiq's father was also called M'aiq. As was M'aiq's father's father. At least, that's what his father said."
"Werebears? Where? Bears? Men that are bears?"

If he was I would worship him.
Personally I find him more interesting then Sandal who fills sort of the same role for Dragon Age.

Having a NPC that exists just to give 4th wall breaking take that's to players and Bethesda is awesome.

Can anyone point me to the best vendor for soul gems?

The most epic battle I had, so far, was me facing a Haargraven, Forsworn, adept-level mages, and a Dragon who seemed to pick me out the most -_-

I'm about to finish that questline myself. I can't wait to harvest that Thalmor fascist's soul and ****** the Thalmor off while doing it! [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/happy.png[/smilie]

And spoiler alert, next time.
