The only "environment"-based comments I've ever heard from Lydia are the standard, all-purpose ones that all your permanent companions make: When you discover a cave she'll say "oh look, a cave. Wonder what's inside". Or when you break into someone's locked house she'll say: "you shouldn't be in here!"
After a few untimely deaths from my Dark Elf, and just before the reload, the killer would ask me to turn off Ancestor's Wrath before returning; still cracks me up....
Great critical charging is also funny. The bandit yells,"what's the hurry!" after dying!.

I like the surrender line bandits will use- "Death is overrated!"

I saw three mudcrabs kill a SABERCAT they are that bad ass.Addai67 wrote...
It's even worse when they run off and heal themselves. I chased a troll for about a half mile after hitting him with a few good arrows, and by the time I caught up to him his health had fully recovered. In the meantime he'd taken out his aggression on a swath of mudcrabs and goats.
Lets just say I left them alone.

*sighs* Finished MQ... I wanted to stay in Sovngarde! Now what do I do? I've made those civil war idiots sign a truce but I think the quest is still open, right? I might finish that or perhaps just create a new char and do it all again. I want to play a black kahjiit kitty but I honestly don't see any race other than Nord fit for the role of a Dragonborn. My Kat migght never even start the MQ! hehe

I don't mind being an assassin for a government lets say, but it just feels morally wrong to work for a group that takes contracts for hire
Should I reload a save and join the DB?

Not sure exactly what you're asking. My Nord is a thief and has no shame. In terms of story, I liked it, and yes people do comment to the effect of "the Thieves' Guild is back" once you finish the quest line. Which really doesn't finish when you finish, since there are radiant quests and more rewards even after you're technically done.
As always, I make these decisions on a roleplay basis, not rewards. You do get nice armors- the nicest in the game IMO. You make some coin, but not scads like you'd think.
I'm asking that is it worth to join the Thieves guild if it is returned to it's former glory.
Simply, my "proud Nord warrior" wouldn't waste time with a some wanna be thieves guild if he can't use it and make to something bigger. Find something there to exploit.
So instead of people saying "Hey look, that guy is a member of the Thieves guild. Noob!" I want them to say "Hey look. That's the bad ass guy who turned the Thieves Guild into a bad ass guild. Hail the bad ass!!"
Was it clear enough?
@Chewin Hahah! Yeah, that happened to me too. That really was a scary scene:D

Hey, it's better than having no time on your hands - then you wouldn't be able to play Skyrim at all.

Currently playing an Orc stealth Archer/ 2H, and am constantly hearing, "You can't hide from me!" just before they die.. While daggers are cool and more stealth based, the variety of 2H crit scenes makes this a rather enjoyable romp thru the game world.
Meanwhile I am thinking, "Guess I can...."
But I am also saddned that I loaded the wrong Save (used the Save pic instead of time and date) and erased everything accomplished from last evening onward. While I must repeat certain quests, at least the Radiant system makes the wandering encounters different to keep travel fresh.
And all this because I refused to take a Companion side quest to brawl with a single mother over her market stall profits.
I tried various reloads; gathered same quest. I tried to let her best me; quest remained. Was just going to skip it, but getting this from a "honor bound bunch" spoiled the moment So with this current reload, I simply refused the assignment, and chose to go to another leader for work.
On the bright side, I took out some non-lethal aggression on a Bard that refused to cool his heels over said single mother, and a female onlooker that bet me I could not best her either. Gotta love Nordic rituals!

Actually I walked out from it alive.

I actually have yet to fight any
Dragon Priests, and I'm pretty apprehensive about facing one in battle -
they seem to have gained quite the reputation as being highly dangerous
enemies.
They are, but using a one handed weapon and having 'Fast Healing' spell (like in the picture), and staying close to the Priest all the time, it should be a walk in the park (sort of).
Long range fighting is a no go.

When this happened to my first character, I was rather fresh that I did not think I could could best the DB leader, and escape my kidnappers. And while I took assignments for hire, I occasionally eliminated the clients, too.
There are abundant RP reasons for either choice. However, the DB offers what I consider the best light armor (Ancient set with Poison Immunity), an immortal steed, and plenty of income if you care for coin.

Unless you can one hit or two hit the Dragon Priests or are very good at concealing yourself, attacking from range is an easy to get destroyed by someone like Krosis. His weapon ought to be renamed from the Staff of Fireball to the Gatling Gun of Fireball.
