I died twice, too, and was hard put to it, running and hiding and Fast Healing and drinking potions just to stay alive. By far the most epic fight I have had. I got fortunate Krosis was just sniping from the perimeter or else it would have been all that much harder. He kind of backed off a little....I don't think he wanted to accidentally hit one of his buddies

God damn the SOVNGARDE song from the soundtrack is so awesome.
Its like you get your own choir following you while you march through Sovngarde.
No kidding!
But then I remembered why I did took a long time to go for the MQ (level 64, over 200 hrs) and never finished it in Oblivion with one of my chars. I get too depressed to play that char again. It's like he has no real purpose anymore. So...
I give you RajiiT!

Good thing about creating Khajiits is that it is very easy to get a cool face!

I ran into Krosis a few days ago...I was fighting 2 frost dragons and had my hands full and then he pops in and starts gattling gunning me. That Staff of Fireball is a new favorite staff, and the mask is helpful for alchemy and picking master locks.

I thought Morokai was hardest tbh he could 1 shot my character when I went there since my character was based around sword and steel conan type he didn't use magic except shouts therefore his magic resistance was puny. All casters caused him trouble big time.

Personally, I would've liked less of the majestic infinite Dragons talk and preferred to keep them to the named ones. Perhaps for random encounters, you could have Drakes or some lesser kind of enemy so you don't get the story/gameplay disconnect when ordinary creatures provide a challenge equivalent to Dragons.
Also, I would've loved more variance in the kinds of random encounters you get, having a lot of variations of the Stormcloak/Imperial encounters would've been really nice. Like say, instead of leading prisoners along, you could have Officers being executed.
Still, random encounters at all isn't as common as it used to be, or as it should be in RPGs so I'm glad Skyrim has that much.

Your Khajiit looks like he has a REALLY pissed off face! I like it.
Personally I feel like Ancient Dragons give the right mix of challenge.
Good health, good damage output, and actually some smart tactics.
"Oh sure Dragonrend me but I am going to land out of your reach and toast you!"

It does say something about how Bethesda balanced the game if you can face off against multiple Dragons at once, yet find that their worshippers are a much tougher challenge.

Maybe it was where my Skills and Level were, but for me Krosis straight up after I beat the dragons was much easier than any dragon I have faced. I was level 41, though, when the fight happened.

Maybe Dragon Priests aren't as hard since I'm pure mage....Morokei was fun but pretty easy for me...he ran from my Destruction spells but I had trouble maintaining magicka because of his electricity Destruction spells.
That's neat you decided to focus in your character with no magic. Did you wander into Labyrinthian randomly or did you do the College of Winterhold? Morokei is one of my favorite masks and pieces if loot period...its magicka stats are really good.

lolwut? Wards are not needed against anything, dual-wielding firebolt with Impact perk wins every fight easily. Nothing escapes the stunlock.mrcrusty wrote...
I died twice trying to take him down. Although the first was because I was stupid enough to believe I could take him from range with Destruction Magic, using Wards to defend myself.
That didn't last long.

Unless you can one hit or two hit the Dragon Priests or are very good at concealing yourself, attacking from range is an easy to get destroyed by someone like Krosis. His weapon ought to be renamed from the Staff of Fireball to the Gatling Gun of Fireball.
Tactical positioning plays a factor in this, as I hit this same scenerio before going up the 7000 steps. I simply ascended way up the cliff face, and watched the Fireballs detonate yards in front of me, while I plainked away at the DP via Eagle Eye.

Oh, uh... not so much. It wouldn't do for the entire populace to know who you are, would it? You're not badass enough being known as the Dovahkiin?Hawke_12 wrote...
I'm asking that is it worth to join the Thieves guild if it is returned to it's former glory.
Simply, my "proud Nord warrior" wouldn't waste time with a some wanna be thieves guild if he can't use it and make to something bigger. Find something there to exploit.
So instead of people saying "Hey look, that guy is a member of the Thieves guild. Noob!" I want them to say "Hey look. That's the bad ass guy who turned the Thieves Guild into a bad ass guild. Hail the bad ass!!"

I didn't have Impact at the time since I didn't know how OP it was back then.

You can do both. You can join them, do a few of their quests, get Shadowmere, then take the quest to wipe them out.Mecha Tengu wrote...
I destroyed the dark brotherhood, but now looking back at other people's playthroughs I feel like I'm missing a lot
I don't mind being an assassin for a government lets say, but it just feels morally wrong to work for a group that takes contracts for hire
Should I reload a save and join the DB?
On a related note, is it just my warped nature, or does joining the Thieves Guild feel far more morally harsh than joining the Dark Brotherhood?
The DB asks you to kill all these annoying Scum NPCs that almost always deserve to die anyway. But by contrast, the Thieves guild asks you to Frame (and put out of business) a completely innocent merchant; Then they ask you to threaten and blackmail another one, and in the meantime, they force you to help out one of the most deserving-of-death people in the entire game (Maven Black-Briar)

Somewhat agree. My motive was to bring change.
So I released the first merchant (opened cell door), helped other vics as possible, and tried my Imperial best to rid Riften of M Black-Briar influence. When the latter failed, I simply smiled knowing that any future retalitory contracts would be seen by my eyes first, as the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, TG, and College of Magic.

And thanks for the DB tip; did not know that, and may use it with another PC.

Yes, they do recognize you as thieves' guild sometimes, and make comments on the guild, but not on how badass you are if you save it.Giggles_Manically wrote...
They do notice you wearing guildmaster armor though I believe.
@Yrkoon: No, the DB quests bother me more. I've killed a beggar and one of the nicest orcs in Skyrim, and I'm putting off the big quest in Solitude because wtf. This character just isn't bloodthirsty enough. Picking locks isn't nearly as messy.

They were being beset by two frost trolls and a bear. In all the confusion they must have taken some friendly fire from Marcurio because all of them started attacking each other after the beasts were dead- I had to fast travel to prevent carnage.

LOL ... I meet them on the road all the time! =) Could you fast travel while in combat, though, or didn't the game registered it as "in combat"? =))
And finally, here's my shot of the "tornado"! Epic char deserves and Epic ending so Part I and II of his video is uploading right now! =)

When NPCs turn hostile to your followers, they don't register as hostile to you. I did run away a bit, to a new location just down the way, then fast traveled to it to force Marcurio to my side. This happened also when escorting Esbern, probably because of his flame cloak spell.RageGT wrote...
