I can't believe I'm level 41 and haven't found one single item with Fortify Archery or Fortify Health to disenchant. *sighs*

But I found an Elven Armor named Elven Boots of Ancient Stamina! hahaha

The feeling I get when reading this must be similar to reading an Elder Scroll.

Dragons are sissies, really. I have never died facing a dragon and honestly don't think I've ever been in much danger of doing so.  I contoniue to be stunned by how weak they are in game.

Dangerous stuff in Tamriel based on times I've gotten whacked:

1. Falmer+ Charrus combo platter - i HATE this mix
2. Cave Bears
3. Forsworn archers

I have a companion who has gone MIA. He's not with me, he's not at my home, he's not at his "home" base. I can't add another companion because I can't dismiss him. How does one find a "friend" in Skyrim so you can send them away?

Best source of archer gear for me has been the shopkeeper duo running the Smithing next door in Whiterun. Most of it appears to be for Heavy armor, but it is seen often enough. And both carry different gear unless they are together.

OTOH, the Fletcher across the street only rarely has enchanted apparel, but is a great source for the better arrows.

Almost everything has killed me one time or another, but saw a new one this week. My brother was visiting, and while getting some hands on time with a new character and touring Bleak Falls Barrow, his PC nearly died being cut to death from pottery shards.

He was playing primarily in 1st person, mistook a darkened recess in the corner for a possible passage, and became stuck in a set of shelves full of broken pottery. It might not have been so bad if he would have escaped a bit faster, but we were both laughing to hard to even press 'S' for retreat!

What end? My primary PC still has tons of quests; just none of the Main, Faction, or Civil War missions.See here

Check out the first shop on your right when entering Solitude - it's a clothing shop, can't remember the name. It sells pretty much all possible enchantments, at least 25+ different ones each time you visit (armor enchants only, you need to visit merchants who sell weapons to get those).

You have to collect 3 fortify health rings during the first College of Winterhold quest (after your first lesson); dunno where you'll find a fixed fortify archery item, but they are rather common in my experience.

For me, Necromages and Pyromages were the bane of my low level existence.  A number of times I've unwittingly tripped into a dungeon, cave or fort against a small horde of these irritants, as they spam their destruction spells continuously, and I would just get owned.  Multiple directions of attack against a nimble enemy that can do massive damage with each shot = frustration...that is, until elemental resistance and shield charge were added to my character's combat repertoire.

Now they're just mildly amusing as bowling pins.

Other low-level challenges for me were: Trolls, Dragon/Troll combo, one-hit Giants, the random bandit that would have insane HP, and my first 2 Centurions.

Once I went over level 40 though, I've sat back and wondered how any of these use to be challenging.

The mages spamming are a problem, they be less so if I didn't have to break out my FPS  skills since they circle strafe which makes them hard as hell to hit and I wind up burning all my magicka missing them rather than having that lock on they do with their spells.

If your playing on the PC then there is a console command to help you.

player.moveto X where X is the RefID for your companion.

Virumor- Shouldn't that be 900? I never seen the armor rating at 9000. I've been only able to get mine to 1425 or so and thats with Daedric armor which is better than Dragon armor believe it or not. And I agree with you thats why I don't worry about the dragon armor cause it is ugly. If I've got a choice of the hevy armors its Daedric first and then Ebony as my personal preference.

The best way to take out mages is with stealth and a bow. Now Dragon priest they can be a pain in the arse.

EDIT:

Not really used a companion to much in the game to be honest with you there. One of the main reason  is the fact that they like to step right in front of me when I'm getting ready to lose an arrow at someone and it gets them instead., And with my bow it usually 1 shots and I lose my companion and have to reload.

You can make items as strong as you like, and you don't need to max enchanting, smithing or alchemy to get them.

You need plenty of fortify restoration ingredients: brew a fortify restoration potion, drink it (while wearing +alchemy or + smithing gear) - don't leave the item menu - un- and re-equip your +gear and it will be much more powerful (for 60 seconds). Use this to brew a stronger fortify restoration potion and rinse and repeat.

You can easily create potions that increase your smithing or enchanting 10,000 times (and beyond). And without any points in smithing or enchanting it allows the creations of uber gear - you can upgrade an iron dagger that does 100,000 points of damage if you want to.

It's kinda lame, but I used this method to change the Amulet of Talos so there is no cooldown on shouts. Pretty OP but shouts are a lot more fun than magic imho ;)

It really is.  It's also not as good (stat-wise) as  Daedric.

So basically its a lose-lose.  I wonder what logic was behind Bethesda's thinking here -  why they decided to make it the highest perk in the Smithing tree.

...and why you can't make dragon bone weapons.  (this one actually irks me.  I'm a huge fan of matching sets.  I love the all-black look of  Ebony armor + Ebony weapons.  Ditto with Daedric and Orcish).    But as it stands, even if Dragon Armor in this game looked awesome and had the highest base stats, I'd still hesitate to wear it because it means that my weapons have to look totally different.

Shepard you might be right there. As for me I see no reason in making ti that high. I've got 1425 for full Daedtric, Do I sitll take damge on Master sure I do does it bother me no, The reason being is that I deal serious damage as well lmy daggers do 160 each straight damage. And then when you multiply that by 15 for sneak thats around 2400 pts of damage. Don't think that there is to much in the game that has more than that there. my bow with everything and the sneak bonus does about 1600 or so damage. Any more than that there to me is just a waste.,

I couldn't agree with you more on this. It's ugly and not as good as daedric yet you've got to have 100 in smithing to create the armor? I've not figured out the logic behind that one there.

I think it's the best light armor. If you do not want the DB set or Nightengale set.

Also, I think there's a mod that adds dragon bone weapons.

ALL HAIL MODS!

Sadly not on PC. Never found him but did a quest where someone joins you and automatically "removes" your companion and that cleared it up.

If it happens again fast travelling often brings them back when I have that issue.

If you join the DB you get fortify archery equipment.  An Amulet of Arkay is fortify health but that's random loot.

I was happy to finally find a Muffle disenchantable item, at the orc smith in Markarth no less.  But I think vendor stock is pretty random.

Because the dragon scale armor is the best light armor perhaps. As for its looks maybe it is but it sort of looks like what armor made from bone would look like.

So far I've just hit level 81 with 14 perk points to spare. In the sneak tree skill i have everything minus Light Foot, Silent Roll, Silence, and Shadow Warrior. Are these Perks worth it or are they just fluff?
