Long story short, I have like 40 gems in my inventory, and only about 3 of them total grouped.

Same here.  Drives me nuts.

After i got my first one i went to ask Vex. It's probably a glitch, and i pray they're not stuck in my inventory afterwards like Pantea's Flute, Flynn's Lute, and Gallus's Journal.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one having the problem with the soul gems not stackig in my inventory. Of course I've got so many filled soul gems thanks to my bow that I keep them at one of my houses and only take a few at a time with me when I'm out questing. Saves on the misc inventory clutter.<G>

Me too, especially the nomads outside whiterun with their stories, and the one who goes "tekaluk." They're in fact better done than any Bioware random npcs or merchants I can recall.

Place all your soul gems in a container and they will group together. Sometimes not all of them but will do much better than before. =)

The Stones are not that heavy even if you have like 22-23, loking for the last one, that shouldn't be a problem. Plus, some quest items weight zero even if they display more than that as weight. Not those bugged instruments and I don't know exactly which but I saw that by myself. Can't remember which item though. =/

Have you helped out the Argonian woman with her skooma problem?  Also there's a bug whereby if you visit Honeyside before asking the jarl about thaneship that the thane dialogue won't trigger.  Got caught by that one myself.  I didn't care about getting Iona so it wasn't a big deal for me.

She's down by the docks during the day but usually when I fast travel in at night, she's right at the gate and says something about her little problem.

Re the Stones of Barenziah- that's one of those quests where I don't even try.  I'll never find them all on one character so whatever.  I still pick them up, because... shiny...

And yes, your soul gems separate out when you trap a soul in one.  If you put them into a container, they should sort themselves.

A question about enchanting. Does enchanting a weapon destroy the soul gem used? Or will a soul gem ALWAYS remain intact? I'm 65 in Enchanting and I don't even know this yet.

Finally, at level 20, I got my Impact perk. Poor Dragons can't even breath fire on me anymore, at least the Blood ones. Same for Death Lords. And with Ice Form level 2, it's much better!

I'm glad I've gone all magicka on most of my level ups. Still, she can't get hit or she's history. 240/150 base magicka/health. I'm also glad that I did bought the Adept set, Destruction+100% Regen Robes and +50 magicka Cap. Soooo expensive... Best I found so far was Apprentice's. With Galdur's amulet from Saarthal and a +20 life ring, it goes to 320/170 and it still is low magicka. My self brew regen pots are good!

Here I was looking over a hill at some Thalmor Justicars down below.
Lining up that PERFECT bow shot...when Vilkas runs down the hill and engages all three of them.
At once...by himself.

He actually took one down and maimed another before I got there to his credit.
Still I can imagine my current PC not to happy at that LEEROY JENKINS attempt.

I would tend to agree with you in regards to Vilkas. After all he sure knows how mess up any attempt at your trying ot be stealthy one of the reasons for which I don't take him or anyone as a companion. My sneak probably wouldn't be as hight as it is if I did.

I may be too involved with the game; actually became angry when I discovered bandits had killed my horse during a Dragon encounter. Needless to say that my Dragonborn Orc left nothing stirring in that site; living or undead, and used many traps against those in the place. Why waste a perfectly good spiked gate, or swinging ram?

*sigh* Is Shadowmere able to be added as a perm steed via console commands?

Was it shadowmere that was killed? I'm using him/her currently as my horse and have been since I obtained him from Astrid. He's all mine and a great horse as well. Got more fire in him then I've seen any horse in the game.<G>

No; just a standard black stallion was killed. But I tire of replacing steeds and having them killed, and Shadowmere can take on a Dragon; less worry....

P.S. Thanks - console add seems to have worked. At the least, I have a temporary battlemount.

My first character was a pure mage and I loved playing her, but magic is really very ineffective compared to archery. A mage in Skyrim is not a glass cannon like it should be, but a glass pea shooter.

Well now as for me I don't buy a horse in the game till I can get shadowmere. Heck I've seen shadow mere go up steps in outside areas to get at bandits and foresworn. The horse is relentless and I love it. First time I used a horse in the game and my next play thrugh I'll be getting him as well.

I was considering playing a pure mage the next time thrugh. But I had watced a video that someone had posted where they ran as a mage asassin.  And after watching it and seeing how it took them 3 or 4 spells or more just to kill a person I decided against it. Because when your asassin you won't to get in make your kill and get out. Not spend the time it takes to cast 4 or 5 spells just to kill one person. I'll have to agree magic doesn't apprear to be as good as it should be in this game.

Now I might try out using some magic in my next play through. Say maybe the restoration school which would probably help and save on the amount of potions for which I use. But as for straight magic I won't go that route.
