So, am I the only one here who kills the Vigil on sight? I've been debating raiding their hall for awhile, but I want a few more artifacts first~
Or do you all get along with them?
Have been very minor enemies / allies for myself; little involvement here.

Really? I see a very nice enchanted mace on the table of their base~Yrkoon wrote...
Aah, ok. No, I usually just leave them alone. They don't register on my "too-annoying-to -let-live" meter. And even their headquarters isn't worth looting. There's nothing of note to be had in it, beyond the Daedra Heart just sitting there on one of the tables, which I usually just grab then go on my way.
I guess I just like them for RP reasons~

I fully agree with you I just let them go on their merry way and don't even bother with them. Heck I ddin't even bother with their headquarters this play through not worth the time.

This occurs with humanoid enemies, too. Is it random for enemies?

I noticed the kill animation typically procs if they could kill you with a crit, but thats just me~LegendaryAvenger wrote...
Ok, the enemy instakill system is really trying my patience. I've been fighting the same dragon for 15 minutes and I have been nom nom nom-ed 11 times, 6 times I have been pulled-out of cover, while 5 times I have been behind, stabbing him. Even at 85 percent health and a Flame Atronach helping me out.

That said, were you near the tail? If thats the case it could explain it.

Nah, I was at its sides. Still doesn't explain how it could kill me while I'm in cover :/Busy Jackalope wrote...

Speaking of marriages, it's really a shame that they turned out to be more insignificant than Fable's.

Sadly, still better than my own current status.... *weeps into Diet Dr Pepper*
One romance per Dragonborn is my best info. Companion spouses would have killed any future mates anyway; death or not.
My toiughest matches as a rule have been wandering encounters met on the roads. As a Mage, try and get to safety (often in the rocks), and fire away from there. Personally, I enjoy the cliff faces that have a slight overhang to keep me dry, as well as restrict Dragons from strafing runs; a few Snowberry bushes or so for ambiance....
Edit: Found this - If you take Aela the Huntress out to get married while on the quest to recover the Hircine totem, she will continue to follow you but if you fast travel anywhere she will disappear and that quest will not be able to be completed since you have to find the totem together.

My pure mage uses conjuration, it's the most badass you can get as a mage : dremora lord summon, bound sword, and destruction for the fun
I use it all. Illusion, Alteration, Destruction, Conjuration and Restoration. My pure Mage. =)
Dremora Lord attacks, Frenzy on the pack of Falmers behind him and the one attacking him will be attack from behind by his friends, some Ice Spears or Thunderbolts or Incinerate to keep them under control, Rally and Heal Other on Lydia when she can't take it, and so we are doing very well. =)

Restoration levels VERY slowly..........
I am like 20 levels ahead with destruction already.
Restoration is very slow and destruction is slow, and neither appear to have any spells that one can spam to raise the level unlike the other schools
Destruction seems to speed up a lot after we get Thunderbolt, Incinerate and Ice Spears which are very powerful too. Restoration took me some 4 minutes to raise one Skill level, as you can see here
TES V - Skyrim - She's so Hot! HD (from 57 to 58)
...but it got better too. With Equilibrium and Close Wounds I managed to go from 63 to 70 in some 10-15 minutes. It is dangerous though. Keep saving because eventually you'll miss the stop point of Equilibrium and die! hehe (dual casting both Equilibrium and Close Wounds ... goes pretty fast compared to the pain that was to get there)

The more daedric quests you complete, they begin to make snide remarks about you.
I suppose if I was role-playing a character who worships the Daedra, I would have to put them down.

Summon a Daedra Lord near them and see how it goes! =)
One of them cured my disease on the road and I didn't even know I was sick. They're very helpful and nice. Of course that was with another character. My Archmage is a sweet girl but she totally loves her Dremora Lord! =)

Son, I am Uriah the Orc; Harbringer of the Companions, slayer of the Dark Brotherhood, graduate of the Bard College (took some fast night courses, as they were right next door), husband of Aena the Huntress, and still have fur growing out of my ears. If I am kind enough to fetch your pretty little sword from the Smith just outside your front door; don't insult me afterwards.
Now I imagined different ways (ie; tried various approaches) to teach you a lesson, but you seem the type to use a sword against a man with fists, and Guards may get involved.. And I did not want to kill you outright by bow or Mark of Death Shout (one three word version will kill him over time), as both your Mother and brother seem like fairly good people.
But that temper of yours was bound to kill you eventually, so when a one word Dismay sneeze landed upon your fancy duds and barely brought you to your knees, perhaps storming about the Keep with a readied sword around the Guardhouse may not have been the wisest course of action.
And the royals do not even seem to mind; no mention of your loss at all....
*And so continues the self-storied version of this Dragonborn*

Glad to see someone took him out. He's nothing but a spoiled, lazy, rich brat as far aas I was concerned..<LOL>
I can't see how he was part of the Storm Cloaks or any other military faction that he couldn't even walk a few feet to get his own sword.

Here I sit at level 18 Arch-mage of the College.
With all my gear now I really have a PC that works for me.

The Mask of Morokei, the Arch-Mages Robes, and Spell Breaker all create one powerful set up I would say.

And that's not even the best part! According to the Blacksmith, the reason his sword needed to be repaired in the first place was because he broke it. . . .swinging it at a stone wall.Redneck1st wrote...

Yep. Harrald tops my too-dumb-to-let-live list AND my too-annoying-to-let-live list. Which means he must die twice. I'll have to kill him, then raise him, then kill him again.

As an idealisitic supporter of the Stormcloaks, it was quite amusing to use Unrelenting Force several times on the spoiled brat during one reload, and watch the him bouncing off the practice dummy. I might have kept that one, but it sorta ruined the RP when the nearest guard auto-located the Dragonborn, and asked him to stop the noise....
P.S. @ Giggles - terrific look!

Harrald really is a whining little snot. He sent Balimund a letter threatening him to keep up his standards since he'd "stuck his neck out for him." Pissant. I'm sure this is why Bali is so worried about the fire salts for his forge, if the jarl's son is threatening to ruin him.
So, for those of you playing mages, I really like the Archmage Crafting mod. It allows you to make custom archmage robes yourself (from leather, leather strips, 2 filled grand soul gems and 5 filled greater soul gems) in various styles. You can also craft Molokei as a circlet, if you don't like the dragon priest mask, and a lot of unenchanted mage gear as well. I made an archmage outfit as an unhooded Thalmor robe. Got to hand it to the Thalmor, they make nice tailored gear.
